- Loud because it’s in high gear and the hollow body intensities the metal trans gears. Wouldn’t be as noticeable outdoors. And it’s in high gear because it cogs in low. Furitek is looking into the low gear cogging situation.

I’m a huge banding fan!!!
N front I take all myths remove springs band the front.
Greetings ,great video ! Where do you attach the holding bands on bottom and what do you use ? Would pony tail holders work ? And do you have a video on how to install the steel aftermarket u joint shaft set, mine broke. Thank you I really appreciate it 🤩🤩🤩
Did you make that testing platform? That’s nice! Great video!
Nice video!!! The servo arm is plastic, right? Do u know which measure will fit? I would like to change it (but still have not received my cr18p). Thanks!
We need to see it out on the rocks. I just received nine 2 days ago so I’m hoping to take it out I got the Furitek brushless version & already looking to address the torque twist & get metal axles.
You know you can get rid of a lot of torque twist by adjusting the shocks. I had 3 EVOs before this and oil filled shocks fixed that. One has telescopic shocks so I used a stiffer spring on that one. This transmission also has a second rear output shaft to get rid of it. You’ll have to reverse the rear spool.
I also have RCAWD full axles on two of them. My first had the HobbyPlus metal axles but you have to buy all the parts separately. I think it costed more like that too. RCAWD includes nice heavy brass hex weights.
@@DanPRC Took the Evo out for its Maiden voyage on the rocks completely stock & I just had a smile on my face the whole time it needs a little front weight & metal beadlocks but I’m very happy with it gunna get the lights installed. 👍
@@Casitascrawlers Nice! I added brass wheels to the stock tires, metal links and I just installed metal steering links and servo mount. I usually go metal driveshafts but these are suppose to be heavy duty so I’m going to keep them until they break. I’m not doing lights on this one. Are you going to drill through the body for lights?
@@DanPRCI heard someone say the stock tires wouldn’t work on beadlocks. Do you mind sharing what time you got. Thanks
Do you have the print file for the 60 degree ramp also? I’d like to print both ramps for testing.
Do you have a link for the ramps? Ive been looking online but cant seem to find anything like these.
Cool build by the way.
The ramps are my design. I have the files on Cult3d if you print. The ramps are in 4 parts and each takes about 18hrs or so to print.
Wheels and links is upgraded now ok lol
are they a meus 1.2 wheel? and link to the hi clearance links?
No name brass wheels off Amazon. RCAWD CR18P High Clearance Tie Rods Set RC Linkage for Hobby Plus Rock Van, Trail Hunter, EVO Harvest, FUR-2411 Upgrades Parts Black a.co/d/hvOB8GD
How fast is it in 2nd gear? I'm looking for something that can keep up on a trail. Does it go faster than walking pace? Can you post a video?
Very fast in second gear with this 2 speed transmission. Like a nice jogging pace.
I mean in stock form (regarding my comment below) @@DanPRC
@@davidgoldberg1869 This is stock form. I only changed the wheels to brass and links to high clearance links. This truck comes with a 2 speed transmission..but you have the option of a brushed or brushless system. Both very capable of a walking trail pace.
Gotcha. How would you compare it with the fms fcx 18?
@@davidgoldberg1869 They’re very close. Both have 2 speed transmissions, portals, similar frames, and about the same wheelbase. I don’t know how fast the new EVO Pro brushed motor is because that’s brand new but I would guess it’s very close to the fcx18 180 motor. They had to upgrade because the 130 motor that was in the regular EVO was weak. I complained about it in my first run video.
What tires are those?
These tires come with this truck. I changed the wheels. The tires are brand new but Hobby Plus and Furitek are claiming them as theirs. Furitek calls them Mudder XL. They take 1.2” wheels and are 68mm in diameter.
