For a drift car this small, the run out on the throttle is beneficial, it allows you to feather the throttle to maintain a smooth drift, these tiny drift cars don’t have enough mass to keep the car moving controllably when you are off the power so they added a throttle run out feature to compensate. If the wheels stopped when you let off the gas the car would constantly spin out of control and not handle very good. It’s not ideal but it’s probably the best they could come up with at this small of a scale 😁👍🏻
I guess what you try to say is that without the throttle run out the rear wheels would luck up because of the engine breaking of the electric motor? I had a Ascona B that was a bit like that in real life :) It was only a 90hp 1,9liter engine but it was high compression engine and in winter you could do handbreak turns by simply gearing 1 or 2 gears down and dump the clutch at low engine rpm. Also if the engine stopped you could not get it started in winter on snow and ice by putting it in gear and roll start as the compression was to high and the rear wheel simply would not start rolling, in any gear...
@@WWE_trainsandmore sometimes folks go from 0-100 on that trigger, and let go 100-0 throttle, no in between. Sometimes sending it at full revs is great, but sometimes, when you need to hold a certain speed, you may find yourself feathering the throttle with your trigger finger applying tiny amounts of throttle to keep you going, but not too much power to spin you out. idk if that even made sense.. hope it helped!
I watched quite a few vids of this car..and was put off gettin one...However!!!!..... after watchin your upload...i purchased a track an the car! What an awsome video this is ..the best on youtube in my oppinion. You convinced me to get micro-driftin!
Hey mate, been looking for that car... How did it go? Could you share where you bought please? I agree I was put off at first because of all the drop shippers in particular😂
Honestly, that's the case with most of these things. We're spoilt for choice with offerings these days. Unless you enjoy kit building it's very easy to get carried away and buy fad more than you'll ever want to use... Trust me 😉
@@TheTruthHz I'm in this boat now. Have dropped WAY TOO MUCH money into buying some pretty sweet cars in the last 9-10 months and I hardly touch them. Fun as hell, but I don't make enough time to get my money's worth out of them. Not yet at least, but I hope to this summer.
Maybe they have the throttle linger on after trigger release to stop the car pretty much doing a handbrake turn because the wheels don't offer much grip? It would be good if they have the break refined so it doesn't lock up or reverse immediately. Maybe if we give it a break input, it could gradually bring the throttle down to a lock, then go into reverse after it's held for more than 2 seconds or so
I just got a 1/24-1/28 scale tg racing lite drift car. It's sick, and they make legit drift electronics for that scale, it's almost as smooth as my rmx2.5 with yokomo and hobbywing electronics.
For gyro gain try turning it down to just below where the wheels wobble going striaght and it may do better. The wobble and too much gain can make it hard to drive and too little will just spin out easy.
please dont get mad at me, but ..is there a way to remove the drifty wheels and use regular ones, i found this older anker apple app controlled race car set but the cars cant run anymore, cuz you need an older i phone and the app which doesnt work anymore, it's gone form all stores and the website doesnt work, i couldnt even dl the apk of it, anyways, the track that came with this set is amazing (it was like little slot cars only they used some kind of optical thing to stay on the track, and you could blast the other driver with weapons on the ap and their car would drive all slow or wonky for a min after being "hit") anyways, i want to find a little car that fits on this track, this car would be great, except it has drift wheels, the track is for 1:43 scale cars i think though, but it's not a drift track though. so annoying the little cars that came with the set look cool and run great but you cant do anything without the stupid app, so i need small cars but i dont see any locally. :(
I want to do up some rc replicas of my Dad's classic 50s vehicles in various sizes. one of which I want to get as accurate to real parts I can with one of the larger bodies. any recommendation on learning resources and parts?

Alex kowaliuk here so hear me out , put the gyro from the infraction in the x01, then put an 8s power system, and hoons that might make the x01 what it was always supposed to be , please consider my humble idea. Cheers tomley.
I never had the patience to get my original version to drift. Glad to see they improved it. I'd still like to see a 1/43rd drifter since this scale seems too fast/twitchy to look realistic.
The brass wheels weren't removable (at least on the OG), which meant that as soon as lint got in there the front wheels seized up and the car became undrivable. A real shame, my boys love the other ones . Shame they're so expensive though
Does anyone know the speed diffefence between the drift and speed variants? Could they race each other fairly? Are the first gen drift cars worthwhile? The 61 and 62 are still available and would give another body style if they all are pretty close.
The upgraded gyro in C65 make it so much easier to drift also C65 look exactly like C75 except C75 is only for race not drifting and the C64 isn't that bad it's just hard to drift coz it doesn't have wide turn angle if you can get it for discount it will be good for the budget.
Ehe kite car looks great and performed we;;. The extra bodies are nice. On your wood grained counter top it looked good. It would be easy to transport a few cars and track almost anywhere.
@Tomely RC Please help and suggest Which one would you suggest between Felony Vs Infraction V2 Felony looks so awesome and tempting but has rear tires and different differentials whereas Infraction is same platform all rounder with okish looks. Please help whether I should go with Felony or infraction
They look so good on the track I think you should try to put the truck body on the drift car if it fits I bet it would look 👀 well smart on the track drifting
How much?!?!? I'd love to see the profit margin on that! And as for the truck - you can buy a laptop for that wedge! 20 more like it, not 200! I think Casio need to get into RC.

Hey out of my brain. Took the words right out of my brain. 😏🩵💚💙😎🤙
Finally a hellcat for my Budget.
True
Me to😀😀😀
Real

Nobody gonna ask how he did the pov camera view on that little car 😭😭
Magic 😅
That’s what I was thinking
He probably used an insta 360 go 2 or 3
Worlds smallest dash cam 😭

The Action Shots were nice! " Natural Mini Drifter" was spot on
I don't know why TH-cam sent me here as I don't watch RC car content, but this was great. The mini-montage at the end was great.
Slower speeds at this scale look incredibly cool.
Nice! I have one of these to test but didn’t see the track when I ordered it doh 🤦♂️
I found a UK supplier yesterday. I’ve stuck a link in the description. Never used them before, but looks legit.
NO WAY ITS RC DRFT TOK
how come he got 5 mil subs and no one noticed

Your entertainment standards are very low then
That's the story of mostly all rc videos!

Hi I am new to this. Where can I get the track pad like this video .. any brand to look out for . I wished to set this up for my kids indoor.
Nice vid as (almost) always. And really nice tiny cars. In combination with the truck its a nice little playset :D
How would these work on the old slotless track from days gone past. Like the ones used on 3Dbotmaker.

SVC I think means Stabilty Vehicle Control Phil, Great Video mate 👌🏼
can you change the body so that you could have a different car on the better chassis?
8:36, I hazard a guess if you put some cello tape on the rear wheels of the tractor without the trailer you could have drifted that......
I never had the patience to get my original version to drift. Glad to see they improved it. I'd still like to see a 1/43rd drifter since this scale seems too fast/twitchy to look realistic.
Just woke up... And my favorite channel has a new video
. Yes!
Try a few dots of maritime silicone for the back for grip. It sticks to anything, and it's not permanent.
I really enjoy all your video's. But the variety you show with something like these are the best! Really appreciate you and your channel!!
Hello mate, can you tell me what the wheelbase of this little drifter is?
When Discipline rc posted his video, I immediately went and purchased the NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED BMW M3 version. Literally arrived last night. 😮
The brass wheels weren't removable (at least on the OG), which meant that as soon as lint got in there the front wheels seized up and the car became undrivable. A real shame, my boys love the other ones . Shame they're so expensive though
That's a proper little drifter.
this would be my mouse pad on my desk😂
The Transport Truck 🤩🤩🤩 I'm not into drifting, but seems to run nicely 😊
Does anyone know the speed diffefence between the drift and speed variants? Could they race each other fairly?
Are the first gen drift cars worthwhile? The 61 and 62 are still available and would give another body style if they all are pretty close.
The last 40 or so seconds was pretty epic 👌
That seems about right. An R34 Skyline GTR has a wheelbase around 105" and a Challenger (all the same wheelbase no matter model) is 116"
Tom Lee look into the drift art 124 scale they are next level fun. Would love a video on one. Or any rear wheel drive 1/24 scale.
You know they make adhesive velcro tape Phil.! 😉 😉 😂 👍
Does the red hellcat body fit?
I literally woke up 2 minutes ago and this is the first thing I thought of😂
What sort of camera did you use to record from the roof of the rc?!
It definitely needs a slightly bigger track I feel but it certainly looks fun
Yeah, a little bigger would be good for sure
Is that a drift car in your pocket? Or are you just happy to....have a drift car in your pocket 😅
No, that’s his semi!
That was a immediate thumbs up
Does it run on to allow you to come on and off throttle while drifting without it slowing down to much?
Do these have regular on road tires as well, along with these drift wheels/tires?
Dunno about this one but the last one has brass wheels you can't change. You have to get the onroad or offroad version instead of the drift version.
Almost there…maybe the 66 will be perfected
I wonder how much that would cost, anything in my budget abt 20$
90$
The upgraded gyro in C65 make it so much easier to drift also C65 look exactly like C75 except C75 is only for race not drifting and the C64 isn't that bad it's just hard to drift coz it doesn't have wide turn angle if you can get it for discount it will be good for the budget.

Where can I get one
I think the purpose of it to keep flowing is for us to notice the brake light when we brake it. :)
So like how do you charge it
If the wheels would stop right away it would probably spin out when you let off the throttle.
