hey, you probably won’t read this but i just wanted to say thank you because I found the course thanks to you, had my interview on Thursday and just found out I got in!! So thank you very much, this video as well as your other have helped me immensely!! ❤️❤️
Hi Taylor I just can u make another video about what actually fashion communication is .. I would like to know more, I'm actually thinking to join condénast so I wanna know more from u as a student. How everything is. It'd mean a lot to me. Thank you 😊
Hi Thalia! I'm planning some more videos about life in london and I can answer more in depth then but in short I basically looked up student accommodations london and found the building I'm in! They're great for international students or even those with long travel times!
Hey Taylor, I love your videos and have been watching since the beginning! I am currently a senior in the U.S. and have applyed to 5 schools in London, all graphic design courses. Two of the schools have already gotten back to me for skype interviews next week. I was just wondering if you had any advice or tips on how I should prepare? Thanks!!
Kelsey Wanamaker hi!! Great to hear about that 😁 when I had my interview I actually went through a few questions and answers with my mum! She asked key questions like why is this program of interest to you? What do you want to do with the degree after? What are some of your interests? Questions like those are helpful to prepare yourself with and then just make sure you wake up early enough if it's in the morning to be prepared! Pick out your outfit, get yourself ready with time to spare! Don't be nervous! They're interviewing you because they're interested in what you're offering 😁 GOODLUCK with everything! If there's any other questions you have, don't be shy!! xx
Hi Taylor, what did the photos in the portfolio consist of, like did they have to be fashion related or were you showcasing your photography skills? I'm just wondering because I'm seriously considering applying for 2018 entry however slightly panicking about the portfolio aspect of the application thanks X
Hi Grace! So the photos I sent in were I guess a mix of both me wanting to show that I could style, or rather that I could present a theme through styling as well as whatever photography skills I did have at the time. Please don't worry about it! I promise, it's a whole lot of panic for nothing :) I don't they aren't specifically looking for the best, just that you are willing to create and learn! GOOD LUCK with it all!! xx
Hi Taylor! I just found your channel and find it totally inspiring✨ I'm Mexican and I want to study at Conde Nast College so I was wondering if we can have a chat to ask you some questions?😊
Hi Andrea! Of course :D definitely find me on Instagram (it's in my video description bars) so we can DM there! It's probably the best way to contact me :) xx
I thought I replied to your comment already?! oops sorry this is late... but we graduate high school at age 16-17 depending on when you're born, then we do 2 years of cegep so you graduate that at age 18-19 and then it's 3 years of a bachelor in university, maybe more if you take extra semesters, so people are typically 21-22. It all ends up the same timing wise but we do it a bit differently, it's like a cushion to figure out things before you head off to your degree!
We basically do general studies, they just further high school learning, and then most people will choose a 'profile' or basically a field of choice where you'll have classes based on things like business, arts, psychology, maths, etc... that just further your interests for study in university!
Hi Karla! So basically I sent a cover letter, about 8 photos of some shoots i did, then 2 feature pieces and the college challenge! Honestly they said to be creative, you can send in art, photography, film... just show them you want it and you're willing to put in the work :D hopefully that helps xx
Hey taylor! So I need some advice. I am currently a senior living in Madrid Spain, so I'll be starting college next year and i'm applying to university in Madrid and in England. Because you've lived both at home when in college and you're living in London now, which would you recommend? do you think it's better to live at home or do you prefer the "college life"?
Hey Taylor! I'm also from Montreal, I'm 26 and was really interested in their certificate (10 weeks) because otherwise it's way too expensive. Would it be possible to chat a bit with you?
Hiya! hope it's not too late to answer for you! They basically just asked me about why I wanted to attend the college, where I saw myself, what I could bring to the college in terms of skills or personality even and we talked about what I like to do, what interests me, things like that! I hope that helps! Either way I'm sure you'll do amazing lovely xx best of luck!
Taylor Leigh they actually just changed my interview for a later date so it’s not too late! I’m actually from Canada too so it’s hard to find a time with the time difference lol!! thank you so much for this information you are so sweet💗 are you staying in London or moving back to Canada? Xx
I’m still figuring out what I’m doing.. I’ll post smth soon though because I need to figure it out! Also yes, usually there’s already been a cut of applicants before the interview stages. It’s one of the last rounds they have! So keep up the good work!! Don’t be afraid to send me anymore questions xx
Whoa! 27 000 pounds a year! Thats almost 44 400CAD? That's more than my complete undergrad degree costs, and thank god for student loans or else I wouldn't even be able to afford that. Hopefully they don't charge you even more since you're an international student. It all accumulates up so fast! :/
Yes I know it's daunting ! However I believe the type of program the school is offering makes up for the cost. We get to meet with so many incredible industry guests, there are amazing lecturers to learn first hand experience from, we go on so many outings to exhibitions and I mean it is London and we are in Soho :P
Yea the fashion communication program is about £54,000 which is about $94,000 CAD. I was shocked when I saw that. Most people would not be able to afford that. Looks fun though and hopefully worth it. I hope you get a great job when you graduate 😊.

Just curious because I live in the United States but how old are you when you graduate high school and the 2 years between high school and university?

That's so interesting! What kind of schooling do you do in cegep?

One more question lol! Is it true that only competitive students likely to get in get offered an interview?
Ah yes gotcha!! Yea my interview had to be kinda early in the morning 😅
