Nice to see these videos. I use to used the HP Z400 but with last upgrade of processor the W3680. I enjoyed doing overclock by program with the throttlestop. I enjoyed around one month and after my motherboard doesnt work anymore. Its possible my motherboard has a rough past ( i had 3 years with x5670 and it was bought on secondhand market) . I definitely enjoy and love this platform x58 but i will try to fix my mobo the rerun on this beast called HPZ400.
Keep doing these videos, there a lot people like me who loves retro technology like the classic cars !!!

Hi there, and welcome to the channel. Tyvm! Yeah, some of these z400 and 420 can be picked up for decent prices, and I was super happy I got one! Upgrading to the 6 core cpu and slapping in a decent video card and an ssd instantly extended its life. Hope you can fix your motherboard, and if not, maybe you can grab another 400 or 420! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it :)

Salud

Always fun to test different parts and for that price it is totally worth it.
Sometimes all you need is few bucks to have a better experience but surely should be paired with a suitable GPU.

Yup!! What gpu would you recommend to use on this old beast?

@@RememberThisTech maybe a 1070 or 1070ti 🤔 since that would be better than an RX 580 without going too extreme and at the same time the price of a used 1070ti wouldn't be far from an RX 580 8gb or at least that's what I've been seeing 😋

@captainwasel8377 I've been looking for a good price for some time now on a 1070.. people want a bunch still for them : ( Soon hopefully!

@@captainwasel8377i think an rx 5700/xt would be better since amd has less driver overhead

@@damasterpiece08 yes but I think price wise it wouldn't make since. I wouldn't spend more than $100 on a GPU to pair with this PC.
A lot of newer GPUs would be better but then you'll be spending much more than what the PC can keep up with.
