Sometimes i've found the notification button has changed without me disabling it! They seem like a very good airline. Most Embraer Aircraft that I have experienced have had excellent legroom. And service like that on a 1hr 20 flight is brilliant. Top marks Mandarin Airlines!

Love the Embraer, it's so cosy. Had no idea Mandarin Airlines even existed, great you cover ones lve never even heard of. The hot meal was great and blankets on a 1hr flight impressive! Even Gulf Air couldn't find one for a 7hr flight in BC so big thumbs up on this flight👍
HAHA watch this Gulf Air!🤣🤣 Yes this was such a comfortable quick dash back to HKG! Smallest plane I’ve ever flown to and from HKG too. We call it the ‘mosquito plane’ there because it’s so tiny and almost insignificant compared to the wide bodies you would normally see in HK
Kaohsiung airport looks interesting 👍 You should a low budget airlines series and tell us which one is the best which would be cool. Would love you’re take on Air Asia, Jet Star etc Mandarin airlines looks good too. Hopefully you do videos on EVA air, United and Cebu pacific next👍
In 2013 I bought a Herpa Wings Mandarin Airlines 747 scale model, but I’d never heard of the airline and honestly just bought it because I thought the livery was cool. Looks like it’s worth a try! Their product seems top notch!

Nice for short haul - reminds me of QF or VA. Glad to see you have enough footage to keep posting! On the CX economy v PE question (I've only done A359 and 773, not 333), I've noticed that PE and higher classes people try and sleep overnight, where economy seems to have people watching movies all night, even on long haul flights. 773 PE needs a refresh, but that probably won't happen atm.
@@JaydenWong the legrest is good (although looks very tacked on), but maybe I got caught with a part done 4 class 773 in December. Economy seats looked good even though 3-4-3, but PE was defintely still old screens - lower res and unresponsive

It's been a real airline for a couple of decades already. I actually flew them to the usa omg in the late 90s if I am not wrong. They were superb I rem even being served dim sums even as part of their long haul economy class service product!
@Raymond Leong I hate to break it to you but Mandarin Airlines is a regional airline and has never flown long haul or medium haul. They don't even fly to the US. Maybe you've mistaken them with another airline? 🤔
I think the US is the only country that doesn’t serve food (let alone hot food) on a one-hour flight. Here you should feel blessed! If they walk down the aisle once and throw a drink and biscotti your way. Nice review Jayden. Hopefully we can get back in the air soon!❤️👍✈️
Really awesome! When the pandemic is over, I highly suggest coming over to Canada and try out the Air Canada Airbus A220 (CSeries)! It has an excellent product and is definitely one of the best aircraft I've been on!

My very first aeroplane ride was from Kaohsiung to Taipei back in 1988. I wonder if that was Mandarin Airlines. Back then, the only airline I've ever heard of Huahang (or China Airlines).

haha I tend to choose wide body, for this route I could've picked Cathay Dragon and China Airlines A330 but I had a connecting flight to Sydney (then Adelaide) with Qantas 747 so I had to go on this baby plane. That voice was my friend from here, he was helping me with the filming😂thanks mate!
OMG I'm so late for this. Nice video, Jayden! I noticed that the crew wear the same uniform as CI. It's very rare to see routes like this being served with an Embraer since usually Boeing and Airbus dominated this route.
Now there`s a new airline to me. Very impressed with them though, great meal service for a flight of that duration, and the crew appeared to be very hospitable. Hope you`re doing well in Adelaide Jayden.

Good review. I really like the custom of the ground crew bowing and waving goodbye to the departing aircraft. I have only seen this in Japan and Taiwan. It just puts me in a good mood for my flight. Your meal looked great for a one hour hop but I always receive decent meals in Economy Class on flights between Taiwan and Hong Kong. It is the "golden route" after all.🤗. Hey John, thanks for watching!! I loved the waving too, it sure does make the experience a bit better and happier. I'm sure that would comfort some nervous flyers too. I'm so grateful to live in HK where this golden route begins (and ends)😝I got Taiwanese minced pork rice on CX on Taipei to HK in 2018 and it was amazing! Since then, the pork rice became one of my favourite dishes haha. My family is doing well in HK, life is pretty much back to normal now, just have to wear a mask wherever you go. And in Adelaide, things are getting better too :D

nope, my first time flying on an Embraer jet was on 1 Jan 2019 with BA Cityflyer, since then I flew E-jet a couple times with Air Canada, American and Mandarin! I have so many KFC wipes, that shows my loyalty to them😂
Great review as always! Taiwan seems to have lots of good airlines (China airlines, eva air, mandarin airlines) Its very generous for an airline to serve a meal on very short flights, as that is very rare. Even airlines like SQ only serve drinks for Kuala Lumpur flights
Haha, just like how SilkAir passengers are issued SIA boarding passes nowadays. Guess you know about SilkAir’s eventual merger into SIA, which also saw the closure of SilkAir’s United Square office and merged into SIA’s one at ION Orchard. And yeah, today is the 10th day of my hometown’s 28-day shutdown to slow the spread of COVID-19 (and gosh, most of the new cases reported daily in recent days come from foreign worker dorms).
Haha Cathay just changed Dragonair's logo so they use the exact same boarding pass, it's black and white so you can't tell which one is which. I'm following the Coronavirus number cases in Hk, Australia and Singapore mostly. Shocking to see Singapore numbers are increasing day by day while Hk and Australia are slowing down a lot. When I thought this thing is over in Singapore... 700+ cases today😩 hope all is well for you!

For the question of difference between CX's PE and E class on A330, there is no premium economy on CX's A330? I think the majority of the A333 fleets are using a 2 class configuration,only Economy and Business?
There is a premium economy cabin for their long haul A330! eg to Australia and occasionally regional destinations. I guess half of their A330 is for long haul (flat bed in business and a premium cabin)
Really nice trip report Jayden 👌 Asian airlines really do spoil us in the amount of food they serve even on short flights like this one😅Because of them we expect similar amount of food on European and American Airlines 😂

yep I'm supposed to be on QF571 Sydney to Perth right now! then tomorrow Virgin Fokker 100 back to Adelaide, then the following day, three Virgin business class flights to Auckland. After a week, Air NZ 787 to Adelaide. All cancelled :( Also my July US trip on AA 777 first class! I'm doing well Cody, hope you're doing well too :D

One of the woooooorst immigration experiences was flying into Taipei in December last year from Seoul...2 hour line to pass through immi what a joke at 11am

Good review. I really like the custom of the ground crew bowing and waving goodbye to the departing aircraft. I have only seen this in Japan and Taiwan. It just puts me in a good mood for my flight. Your meal looked great for a one hour hop but I always receive decent meals in Economy Class on flights between Taiwan and Hong Kong. It is the "golden route" after all.🤗. Hey John, thanks for watching!! I loved the waving too, it sure does make the experience a bit better and happier. I'm sure that would comfort some nervous flyers too. I'm so grateful to live in HK where this golden route begins (and ends)😝I got Taiwanese minced pork rice on CX on Taipei to HK in 2018 and it was amazing! Since then, the pork rice became one of my favourite dishes haha. My family is doing well in HK, life is pretty much back to normal now, just have to wear a mask wherever you go. And in Adelaide, things are getting better too :D

nope, my first time flying on an Embraer jet was on 1 Jan 2019 with BA Cityflyer, since then I flew E-jet a couple times with Air Canada, American and Mandarin! I have so many KFC wipes, that shows my loyalty to them😂

Great review as always! Taiwan seems to have lots of good airlines (China airlines, eva air, mandarin airlines) Its very generous for an airline to serve a meal on very short flights, as that is very rare. Even airlines like SQ only serve drinks for Kuala Lumpur flights

Haha, just like how SilkAir passengers are issued SIA boarding passes nowadays. Guess you know about SilkAir’s eventual merger into SIA, which also saw the closure of SilkAir’s United Square office and merged into SIA’s one at ION Orchard. And yeah, today is the 10th day of my hometown’s 28-day shutdown to slow the spread of COVID-19 (and gosh, most of the new cases reported daily in recent days come from foreign worker dorms).
Haha Cathay just changed Dragonair's logo so they use the exact same boarding pass, it's black and white so you can't tell which one is which.
I'm following the Coronavirus number cases in Hk, Australia and Singapore mostly. Shocking to see Singapore numbers are increasing day by day while Hk and Australia are slowing down a lot. When I thought this thing is over in Singapore... 700+ cases today😩 hope all is well for you!

For the question of difference between CX's PE and E class on A330, there is no premium economy on CX's A330? I think the majority of the A333 fleets are using a 2 class configuration,only Economy and Business?
There is a premium economy cabin for their long haul A330! eg to Australia and occasionally regional destinations. I guess half of their A330 is for long haul (flat bed in business and a premium cabin)
I always travel Mandarin airlines to Taichung, because I have some family members live in there.

yep I'm supposed to be on QF571 Sydney to Perth right now! then tomorrow Virgin Fokker 100 back to Adelaide, then the following day, three Virgin business class flights to Auckland. After a week, Air NZ 787 to Adelaide. All cancelled :(
