Thanks for sharing this... I was long haul crew with Virgin and like all my colleagues we’ve been made redundant, so it’s nice to keep videos like this as a memory. Fingers crossed for the Virgin outcome in a few weeks. Like you I am a huge fan and hope and pray they can continue flying both domestically and internationally !! Hope you are well mate and safe and sound !! Bloody Oath !!!
two qantas planes in this video! Mighty 747 and 787 😍Thanks for watching Craig, they're adding more flights in coming weeks, including Adelaide to Perth which is a good sign!
It is kind of bitter sweet to watch this review. A reminder of better times in the aviation industry, but even then with signs of the impending decline. Thanks for sharing your experience Jayden.
i love the way you do your reports, your honest whether it be good or bad news. sad its Virgins last flight. lets hope things change in the new year. The fact that Virgin is so badly off sucks hopefully they can get out of it Another great video Jayden Of course Jayden has to make me hungry while he has his meal lol 😂 BTW Jayden drinking water or soda after eating “ spicy” food only makes it spicier because it opens the pours in your mouth You need something to either coat your mouth or absorb the spice like milk or bread or plain noodles etc No link to Exclusive Travel,Reviews Jayden or am I just not seeing it ?

As always great report - such sad times in the aviation industry I wonder what it will look like this time next year and which Airlines are no longer in the skies? Stay safe
Surreal to see HKG like that in those beginning parts of the video...complete opposite from when I was transiting through just months earlier! Also idk how but I had no idea there was an airport people mover train in HKG XD
Thanks for watching mate! Haha no way, those trains are everywhere😂if you're flying AA you probably don't need to get on one. If you're flying Virgin you definitely need to
Nice video about Virgin Australia Mate! This simply reminds us how good Virgin Australia service is! Looking forward for more reviews from you! Stay safe!
Wow super quiet Hong Kong airport. I got my fingers crossed Virgin will survive and will be back up in the skies soon. I never got to fly them internationally so hoping I can in the future. The food looked decent. The chicken rice did look good. The scrambled eggs did look quite good for brekkie. It's now been 3 months since I been on a plane. So sad :(
Actually, everything has changed drastically by late March where quarantine measures took effect everywhere. The last flight I took was on 15 March from Jakarta to Singapore and luckily I was two days away from the measures in Singapore took effect. I returned to Jakarta on a Singapore Airlines flight in May, it was very very different and no inflight meals were given and a bag of snacks was a replacement for it. On a side note, my sister is moving to Melbourne next year for starting her university and may join either dropping her or continue my studies there. Hopefully, air travel has returned close to normal with no quarantine restrictions anymore.
some parts in Australia are now covid free or still have active cases but not from local transmissions so there are now some travel bubbles minus Melbourne and I think Sydney will be kicked out from the bubble soon. I was lucky enough to live in Adelaide and was able to travel to Queensland! there wasn’t much of a difference in terms of the food and drinks but definitely the IFE! It was unavailable
Thanks for showing us this great video and your insights. It is indeed very sad to an airline to halt the service but I'm sure they are doing this for a good deed. Let's pray and hope that the pandemic will be over quickly. HK airport is one of the busiest in the world but it's so deserted. Sad to see this.
Five strong fleet of coat hooks and mood lighting you just know it was going to be a bloody good flight😆. Yes you sound more Aussie these days. A mirror is clear isn't it?
haha Australia was in summer that time so I guess the aircraft temperature that time was quite warm. When I flew London to HK in the same month I got changed to a sweatpants in the lounge
That's sad that they stop the flight to Hong Kong. Also, China Eastern airlines stop flying to Honolulu, Hawaii from Shanghai in January 2020 after the Coronavirus broke out and spread to all region in mainland China, including Shanghai. China Eastern airlines used to fly to Honolulu, Hawaii from Shanghai ( that I flew before 5 years ago in May of 2018 and July of 2018) daily on the Airbus A330-300, but to this day, they stop flying to Hawaii for 3 years since January of 2020, due to the pandemic.
they're already back in the air, they've been flying domestically this whole time and will soon add more flights. Pretty sure they're still flying to LAX to bring Aussies home. Now the question is who will be their new owner and when. This is taking longer than I thought! Thanks for watching William :D
Thank you for your video! It’s so sad to see that Virgin Australia no longer serves Hong Kong routes and has entered voluntary administration. I haven’t travelled with Virgin Australia to Australia before. However, judging from your comments from your video, I think their service is really top-notch, especially the onboard meals. I am looking forward to your video next week! As always, have a nice weekend and stay healthy! : )
thanks for watching Man Shan. I only first flew them last year, couldn't believe how much I've been missing out all these years, especially when Virgin Atlantic was flying this route! Take care and have a good week ahead :)
Greetings, Jayden! When you travel from YYZ and arrive at 5am at HKG, you will see the airport empty and quiet like you did. But back then it was for a different reason and the terminals would soon regain activity. Did you shed a tear when you uploaded this video? Speaking of your trip report, Virgin Autralia treats their passengers well!
Haha no tear Eric, because I'm sure HKG will be bustling and hustling again. Virgin does treat their customers well, but they' don't seem to be able afford to treat us well!
I love the fact that you are one of those people that change clothes during a long haul flight... When I enter the plane I look all glamorous, and once we are off the ground I take off all my make up and change to comfortable wear ✌🏽
I sleep so much better if I sleep, and I like looking glamorous around the airport 😂I usually get change onboard but sometimes in the lounge after the shower too :)

Do they offer SleeperSuit on Vigina Austrwlia?
Nope I wasn't offered anything that you'd mentioned. South Australia has no more confirmed cases, everyone has recovered and gotten discharged from hospitals :) life slowly back to normal
Nice review as always! Hopefully Virgin Australia make it out of this because I don’t want to go bankrupt just trying to fly to Sydney from Melbourne...
You know what is more sad ? Qantas retire their 747s . Btw , do you need to quarantine in another place ? Like they will send you to a place that you need to stay for 14 days
No I didn't have to, when I was flying there was no quarantine or lockdown yet. Right now I wouldn't even be able to enter Australia because I'm no permanent or resident or citizen. If you can come in, you'll be put into a hotel at the port of entry i.e. Sydney for 14 days. thanks for watching mate!
Great review Mr Wong! it's good to know that Australian carriers are doing a reasonable job abroad, soon it will be Virgin Australia no more even domestically as I feel the new owners of the airline Bain corporation will run it into the ground.
thanks so much for watching! The CEO said this week that they have plans to continue flights to LAX (and perhaps Haneda) with new aircraft in the future! So looking forward to that!
thanks very much for watching! I only first flew them in 2019 and I was surprised how much I've missed out since I started flying between Hong Kong and Australia a lot in 2014
One World Flyer I was flying out of HKG on 3 Jan. I did lounge hopping. Club Autus > Thai Royal Orchid Lounge > United Club > Plaza Premium Lounge gate 35 > SilverKris Lounge > Club Bauhinia > Gate 23 for SQ871.
Thanks for the review Jayden showing how affected the airports and airlines are from the virus. Shame about Virgin not servicing Hong Kong anymore. Virgin will fly again ( maybe not to HK ) but other routes, they have four very interested parties in negotiations at the moment ✈
Kinda sad to see HKG being not so busy nowadays 😢 Totally felt the effect of this crisis in this trip report. Love the transition to mood lighting haha! Great video Jayden 😍 #OWFsquad
Great videos as always.! I work in the medical field, so why is it that the crew members at the beginning of the video, weren't wearing face mask or gloves.?? Safety first.!!
this happened way before the global pandemic so no one really took it serious. As soon as everyone arrived in Australia, everyone took everything off lol. Thanks for watching :)
Enjoyable but sad - a certain fin de siecle atmosphere which I suppose is appropriate. What a shitty thing this virus has become as one by one it rips into so many fun aspects of life. Now realising that my partner and I are probably not going to be able to make our annual trip to HK to see the family. I really need my HK fix for the year - all that lovely food apart from anything else, with a Cathay Pacific trip to make a perfect start and finish. Stay safe young man
Indeed a very fin de siecle atmosphere both onboard and at HK airport. HK was just celebrating because we've kind of defeated covid19 but then comes the protest and law again. sigh. I cannot wait to fly home too, it's been months. Thanks for watching Derek!
Nice coat hooks in the lounge and I’m glad they still had wine :) food looked good. It’s such a shame VA is in the state it is. Hopefully your video will make it into an aviation video archive. Thanks for a great video
i hope someday i can try also the first class passenger!. just dreaming!. i love flying and the most i like is the food ♥️♥️♥️ and you travel a lot my dear
@@JaydenWong you know how we Phi are with you N, we worry. it is a curse, lol, 555. keep well and try to stay out of that place which shall not be named.
Things are rough everywhere. So many birds calling it "the end." Biting the dust. Air France A380s retired.. just like that. Great video btw. Nicely done
It’s so sad to see busy airports around the world becoming so eerily empty. The crew looked very friendly, and i was wondering why some crew were wearing protective mask and some were not?
Thanks very much for watching Yoel! In Australia, there is still no law/regulation regarding wearing masks. While the UK and US now start encouraging people wearing masks, Australia is still quite oppose to that. The two crew members only put their mask on after takeoff, just before the service.
Thanks for watching!

So looking forward to that!
hey jayden how are you doing bro ? :) how was your flight on virgin australia :)
it was brilliant as always! Thanks Pete!
Will really miss virgin australlia , my first flight with virgin australlia was in 2017 with the A330 to hong kong on my trip to australlia
thanks very much for watching! I only first flew them in 2019 and I was surprised how much I've missed out since I started flying between Hong Kong and Australia a lot in 2014
I missed Virgin Australia very much😭
me too!!
Your shower room tour reminded me of the shower I took in the same suite in first few days of 2020. It was great.
I was there on 1 Jan and 28 Feb, you?😝
One World Flyer I was flying out of HKG on 3 Jan. I did lounge hopping. Club Autus > Thai Royal Orchid Lounge > United Club > Plaza Premium Lounge gate 35 > SilverKris Lounge > Club Bauhinia > Gate 23 for SQ871.
Do you have emirates economy
What da hail! These seats are the same seats designs from MAS
The catering available in airline lounges makes my mouth water 😋 i could eat it everyday
Same here!! Plus that sparkling wine😍
Thanks for the review Jayden showing how affected the airports and airlines are from the virus. Shame about Virgin not servicing Hong Kong anymore. Virgin will fly again ( maybe not to HK ) but other routes, they have four very interested parties in negotiations at the moment ✈
thanks for watching Rod! Hopefully they can reveal the new bidder soon!!
@@JaydenWong that will be nice when they do, just hoping it won't be turned into a budget carrier!
Nice Vid be safe
thanks Alward, you too :)
Can't wait to see more trip report from you. Great video :)
Thanks very much mate!
Kinda sad to see HKG being not so busy nowadays 😢 Totally felt the effect of this crisis in this trip report. Love the transition to mood lighting haha! Great video Jayden 😍 #OWFsquad
thanks for watching Carl, the transition is like a city light show😍
Great videos as always.!
Thank you for sharing man
My pleasure mate, thanks for watching!
Cabin crews are so passionate, though it was a sad moment to witness. :(
Your plane landed probably a couple of planes after mine (QF400) :)
yep😂😂 I still remember i was on the bus to T2 when we were texting
你潭仔食得幾多辣?mild都唔得?XDDDDDDD
As always really look forward to see food comparison
潭仔? no can😂 I can't even eat 熱浪
@@JaydenWongtotally could not eat spicy food WO...
When u shoot this video ?
February 28-29 2020
Nice coat hooks in the lounge and I’m glad they still had wine :) food looked good. It’s such a shame VA is in the state it is. Hopefully your video will make it into an aviation video archive. Thanks for a great video
A glass of wine before being grounded😂thanks Colin :)
i hope someday i can try also the first class passenger!. just dreaming!. i love flying and the most i like is the food ♥️♥️♥️
and you travel a lot my dear
it will happen one day I'm sure😝 thanks for watching!
Hi I like your video 😀
Yay! Thank you! :D
Good luck
thanks again!!
Nice video, hopefully Virgin Australia can re-fly this route and even add more Asian destinations 😊
that's what i'm hoping for too! thanks for watching!
I found this again, likely as I have been worried over you. I hope all is well with you and your family.
I'm doing very fine, thanks for asking :))
@@JaydenWong you know how we Phi are with you N, we worry. it is a curse, lol, 555.
keep well and try to stay out of that place which shall not be named.
Great trip report but as well very interesting to see how aviation is changing these days. Kinda sad. :( * The mirror color is your colors!
love that answer the most, I think there is no defined colour😂thanks Oswaldo!
why there was a Hong Kong airlines crew onboard this flight?
It was part of the exchange program. Always a Hong Kong Airlines crew member onboard a Virgin Australia Hong Kong flight
A mirror usually has some sort of green in it right?
hmm never saw that😂
@@JaydenWong If you look at a mirror from the side. The green usually appears on the edge.
Things are rough everywhere. So many birds calling it "the end." Biting the dust. Air France A380s retired.. just like that. Great video btw. Nicely done
Emirates cancelled 5/8 A380s orders
@@isaacfung622 and that as well
I was going to fly Air France A380 in December. i wonder what aircraft I’ll now get, don’t know if the trip can even go on!😞
@@JaydenWong *sighhh*
Don’t you hate wearing that mask? I’m sick of wearing that thing and I want everything to be back to normal right now! Great review Jayden!!❤️👍✈️
Absolutely! First thing I did in Australia was throwing that mask into the bin😂
I've always have that in mind! What is the color of a mirror??? Still can't figure out :-(
ikr! 😂😂
They won't be doing long haul flights for a while yet.
indeed :(
It’s so sad to see busy airports around the world becoming so eerily empty.
Nice video👍👍. I liked it
Thanks again buddy!
@@JaydenWong You're welcome😁
声音好听哦
謝謝!明天有廣東話版本!
One World Flyer 英文发音好标准👍,明天看广东话的啦
Starting a trip with sparkling wine. Good choice! I like to do that too. 👌 🥂
I'm gonna drink that again as I'm going out for dinner later 😂so glad and happy they lifted up the restrictions today
One World Flyer Oh - awesome. I’m jealous. Need to book something in. 😉
Have you been quarantined for 14 days?
No, I flew in February, and I wouldn't be allowed in anyway if I had to quarantine. Thanks for watching!
It is normal to use airbus A330 such as a medium aircraft in such a medium-haul flight from Hong Kong to Sydney.
