Good to see you as always. Nice review. I was impressed with the meals offered in Economy Class. The lounge at Heathrow looks spectacular. I really like the viewing deck/patio on the third floor. On a personal note, my favorite city has always been Hong Kong. A late afternoon stroll around the Peak is so enjoyable. I like to have a picnic dinner on the Peak and watch the lights coming on in the evening as they cast reflections on the harbor. It's a tradition of mine everytime I am in Hong Kong. My heart will always be in Hong Kong and with the incredible people of this fascinating and unique city. Take care and God Bless all of you, always. ♥️🙏🏽🌎

A really fresh video! Couldn't work out why though. Great Clubhouse, not surprised you give it top rating. It must be 50+ years since there was a good rooftop viewing area at Heathrow. Hate the Dreamliner as you know...3 hours is my limit...but the crew and the food seemed good. More in-depth shower reviews please...zzzexy! Just like Van Souza, I have no shame 🤣

Good things: there is wifi onboard. However you have to pay for it. As well, I think the chicken and mushroom sauce was fantastic to eat and I would enjoy it. I also like the purple lighting.

Awesome ☺ same flight when I came back from London in April. Only Virgin provided direct flight from London to Hong Kong at that moment😅 Even Cathay Pacific also cancelled its flight
@@JaydenWong Obviously everyone put on rain coat but I didn't cause the plane was too hot with almost no air conditioning 🥵 As u know 787 don't have manual buttons at the top, I felt exhausted at that plane for 11 hours
I flew Virgin Atlantic from Chicago to London onboard an Airbus A330-200, and I really want to fly a Boeing 787 someday. I really hope that Virgin Atlantic doesn't retire the Boeing 747-400.

We've been seeing these VS 789's in ORD lately on cargo flights, just wish they would start pax flights again since they look absolutely brilliant! Would probably still fly BA though XD
Great lounge. The meal and drinks looked and sounds like it tasted great too. That outdoor lounge would be great for some plane spotting too. Interesting observation with the masks too. Hopefully now it will be required. It is for all US airlines I think.

Great review as always. Unique steaming start and loved the dropped egg - I completely sympathise as I have done a few times myself. I hate how they lock the window shades, especially when you are trying to live in arrival time zone.

Fantastic trip report. The clubhouse surely looks amazing, and so does the flight. It's really sad to realize that Virgin Atlantic is now in crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. If the worst case happened, it would be super sad for this wonderful airline. ☹️ P/S: I feel bad for the egg 🍳
Seedlip alcohol free spirits are amazing - I was introduced to them onboard a VA flight, and it's even carried at my local here in northern california.
Interesting, I don't think I've ever been offered one onboard, just the cheap ones that barely fit on your feet. Airlines should offer that especially on long flights!
That moodlighting looks lovely! Tbh I'm not a fan of a mash + peas since I think mash would be more suitable if paired with sauteed veggies, I've tried mash + peas and it tasted like the peas ruined the texture 😂

yup it annoys me! It's my right to have sunlight😂 the phone you saw was my old iphone 8 plus that produced my trip reports from 2018-2019. The one I'm using now is iphone 11 pro and the first trip report I filmed with that was on Etihad on the first day on 2020! my iphone 8 started to lag a lot and takes so much time to turn on the camera so had to get a new one!

Hello my friend, Jayden. This is Guerry from America, and I have finally had time to write a comment to you. It is not that I haven’t seen your earlier videos, but since I try to write something other than, “I loved it.”, I require time to let all the information you present sink in well. Besides, I am in the habit of rewinding the video in the event something was not immediately clear. Anyway, I enjoyed your video a great deal, and as usual, it was packed with enough details for me to develop somewhat of an opinion. Possibly this is a question for someone who frequently has to change terminals at Heathrow, but is there much of a problem when it comes to finding a connecting flight? You mentioned you were fortunate enough to remain in the same terminal as your flight from Barcelona, but my curiosity stems from my brother’s experience at Heathrow. He thought it was about the worst airport he had ever had to make a connection. I truly enjoyed the tour you gave of the lounge. As you might remember some of my lounge comments from your earlier posts, I am a very concerned about the general cleanliness and especially the food serving area. I found it very refreshing at how clean the entire area is maintained, and I put it on a par with Cathay’s lounge in Hong Kong as well as some of the others used by airlines you have reviewed. So for me, I give it a huge thumbs up. When it came to boarding and the lady who was checking your passport, were you able to get her name, address, and phone number? She was a bit hefty, but I still thought her face was pretty. I AM JUST KIDDING WITH YOU AGAIN!!! Of course I am not that crude of a person, but what would my comment be without me nudging you in the ribs? I am especially happy that you made your flight on Virgin Atlantic, because actually viewing your video was more than worth reading 100 comments. It is rated 4 stars on Skytrax, and I would have to say that the service and amenities were above average from other airlines you have reviewed. One interesting article I read a while back is that Virgin Atlantic is planning to get rid of their 787’s and replace them with A350’s. The reason behind this change has to do with the tremendous expense it incurs with changing out the Trent 1000 engines (Rolls Royce). I really do not play favorites when it comes to manufacturers, and I am so sorry that Rolls Royce is having this problem. But nonetheless, Virgin Atlantic is having to pay an exorbitant amount due to the engines. I read many of the comments left by others, and one gentleman really had a problem with the Boeing 787. The one thing with which I agree with you and him is that centrally controlled window dimming. Because of my back injury, I have to fly in business. For the price one pays for a business ticket, I want to control my window! I am one of those people who almost exclusively glues his forehead to the window, even if it is overcast and at night. But otherwise, comments I have read regarding the interior configuration of the aircraft are the decision made by the airline itself. So that complaint cannot be laid on Boeing. Moving on to the outside view you had, yours was wonderful (until they dimmed the windows)! You were right on when you identified the airport as Stanstead. Furthermore, that was an incredibly ideal shot you made of Moscow (you even pronounced it correctly). But one of the most incredible things I viewed was how much the wing flexed between ground and air operations. As your aircraft accelerated down the runway, it looked as if the wingtip flexed upwards about 1 meter. When it rotated, it jumped up about another meter. For the flight, it stayed about 1 meter high, all the way until you landed in Hong Kong. Well, my friend; again I must state how much I enjoyed your flight review. Forgive me for any typos, since I am trying to bang this out quickly and move on to other priorities to get done. Make sure you go see the giant Buddha the next time you go home for a visit in Hong Kong.
Hello Guerry! Hope you're doing well and it's great to know that you've been watching my videos. I never had to change terminals when I flew through Heathrow so I don't know how that works. My mum flew through Heathrow earlier this year and changed from terminal 5 to 3. She said it was quite easy, she didn't need to check-in or recollect baggage. I think it'll be difficult if one is not given the boarding pass departing from Heathrow? I'm glad the Virgin Atlantic lounge gave you a new impression, I'd also put it on par with Cathay lounges in Hong Kong. They utilised the space well into multiple recreational areas and of course was all kept clean. Ahhh that lady who checked my boarding pass was lovely. At first, I thought the beeping meant an upgrade. But it just meant more time interacting with her😂 The 787 engines have given many airlines hard times. The A350 has been quite successful with no suspension of the fleet and it's more comfortable for passengers so it's not really bad news. Rolls Royce has done well with the engines on A350. Indeed, I believe the crew have been told by the airline to control the windows that way. United has done well by now reminding crew to not control the windows at all. It just wasn't fair for those who specifically paid to select window seats. I am frightened when people pronounce MosCOW. The flexing of the 787 wings is amazing, like a real bird especially when it hits turbulence. Thanks Guerry, stay safe and take care!

Good things: there is wifi onboard. However you have to pay for it. As well, I think the chicken and mushroom sauce was fantastic to eat and I would enjoy it. I also like the purple lighting.

@@JaydenWong Obviously everyone put on rain coat but I didn't cause the plane was too hot with almost no air conditioning 🥵 As u know 787 don't have manual buttons at the top, I felt exhausted at that plane for 11 hours
I flew Virgin Atlantic from Chicago to London onboard an Airbus A330-200, and I really want to fly a Boeing 787 someday. I really hope that Virgin Atlantic doesn't retire the Boeing 747-400.

Great lounge. The meal and drinks looked and sounds like it tasted great too. That outdoor lounge would be great for some plane spotting too. Interesting observation with the masks too. Hopefully now it will be required. It is for all US airlines I think.

Great review as always. Unique steaming start and loved the dropped egg - I completely sympathise as I have done a few times myself. I hate how they lock the window shades, especially when you are trying to live in arrival time zone.

Fantastic trip report. The clubhouse surely looks amazing, and so does the flight. It's really sad to realize that Virgin Atlantic is now in crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. If the worst case happened, it would be super sad for this wonderful airline. ☹️

Interesting, I don't think I've ever been offered one onboard, just the cheap ones that barely fit on your feet. Airlines should offer that especially on long flights!

the phone you saw was my old iphone 8 plus that produced my trip reports from 2018-2019. The one I'm using now is iphone 11 pro and the first trip report I filmed with that was on Etihad on the first day on 2020! my iphone 8 started to lag a lot and takes so much time to turn on the camera so had to get a new one!

Hello my friend, Jayden. This is Guerry from America, and I have finally had time to write a comment to you. It is not that I haven’t seen your earlier videos, but since I try to write something other than, “I loved it.”, I require time to let all the information you present sink in well. Besides, I am in the habit of rewinding the video in the event something was not immediately clear.
Anyway, I enjoyed your video a great deal, and as usual, it was packed with enough details for me to develop somewhat of an opinion. Possibly this is a question for someone who frequently has to change terminals at Heathrow, but is there much of a problem when it comes to finding a connecting flight? You mentioned you were fortunate enough to remain in the same terminal as your flight from Barcelona, but my curiosity stems from my brother’s experience at Heathrow. He thought it was about the worst airport he had ever had to make a connection.
I truly enjoyed the tour you gave of the lounge. As you might remember some of my lounge comments from your earlier posts, I am a very concerned about the general cleanliness and especially the food serving area. I found it very refreshing at how clean the entire area is maintained, and I put it on a par with Cathay’s lounge in Hong Kong as well as some of the others used by airlines you have reviewed. So for me, I give it a huge thumbs up.
When it came to boarding and the lady who was checking your passport, were you able to get her name, address, and phone number? She was a bit hefty, but I still thought her face was pretty. I AM JUST KIDDING WITH YOU AGAIN!!! Of course I am not that crude of a person, but what would my comment be without me nudging you in the ribs?
I am especially happy that you made your flight on Virgin Atlantic, because actually viewing your video was more than worth reading 100 comments. It is rated 4 stars on Skytrax, and I would have to say that the service and amenities were above average from other airlines you have reviewed. One interesting article I read a while back is that Virgin Atlantic is planning to get rid of their 787’s and replace them with A350’s. The reason behind this change has to do with the tremendous expense it incurs with changing out the Trent 1000 engines (Rolls Royce). I really do not play favorites when it comes to manufacturers, and I am so sorry that Rolls Royce is having this problem. But nonetheless, Virgin Atlantic is having to pay an exorbitant amount due to the engines.
I read many of the comments left by others, and one gentleman really had a problem with the Boeing 787. The one thing with which I agree with you and him is that centrally controlled window dimming. Because of my back injury, I have to fly in business. For the price one pays for a business ticket, I want to control my window! I am one of those people who almost exclusively glues his forehead to the window, even if it is overcast and at night. But otherwise, comments I have read regarding the interior configuration of the aircraft are the decision made by the airline itself. So that complaint cannot be laid on Boeing.
Moving on to the outside view you had, yours was wonderful (until they dimmed the windows)! You were right on when you identified the airport as Stanstead. Furthermore, that was an incredibly ideal shot you made of Moscow (you even pronounced it correctly). But one of the most incredible things I viewed was how much the wing flexed between ground and air operations. As your aircraft accelerated down the runway, it looked as if the wingtip flexed upwards about 1 meter. When it rotated, it jumped up about another meter. For the flight, it stayed about 1 meter high, all the way until you landed in Hong Kong.
Well, my friend; again I must state how much I enjoyed your flight review. Forgive me for any typos, since I am trying to bang this out quickly and move on to other priorities to get done. Make sure you go see the giant Buddha the next time you go home for a visit in Hong Kong.
Hello Guerry! Hope you're doing well and it's great to know that you've been watching my videos. I never had to change terminals when I flew through Heathrow so I don't know how that works. My mum flew through Heathrow earlier this year and changed from terminal 5 to 3. She said it was quite easy, she didn't need to check-in or recollect baggage. I think it'll be difficult if one is not given the boarding pass departing from Heathrow?
I'm glad the Virgin Atlantic lounge gave you a new impression, I'd also put it on par with Cathay lounges in Hong Kong. They utilised the space well into multiple recreational areas and of course was all kept clean.
Ahhh that lady who checked my boarding pass was lovely. At first, I thought the beeping meant an upgrade. But it just meant more time interacting with her😂
The 787 engines have given many airlines hard times. The A350 has been quite successful with no suspension of the fleet and it's more comfortable for passengers so it's not really bad news. Rolls Royce has done well with the engines on A350.
Indeed, I believe the crew have been told by the airline to control the windows that way. United has done well by now reminding crew to not control the windows at all. It just wasn't fair for those who specifically paid to select window seats.
I am frightened when people pronounce MosCOW. The flexing of the 787 wings is amazing, like a real bird especially when it hits turbulence. Thanks Guerry, stay safe and take care!
