If the car will only be used to transport you from your home to school then no, it is not yet practical but if the car will also be used for carpool/grab and will generate income equivalent to your maintenance,gas, insurance and monthly financing then it will make sense financially.

Yes brand new is reliable pero not all 2nd hand aren’t. If you know youre car’s ins and outs, you’ll be fine with 2nd hand
