This is a great video about cars in the Philippines.. As I have never been involved in buying a car here in this country.. Lots of things I don't know. Actually I'm retired and only make 50,000 pesos a month and I don't live in Manila so there are no parking fees or tollways for me to worry about and I wouldn't fill my tank once in a month but once in a while I have to travel to another city. my cost of living is about 25,000 a month usually it is only 20,000. I was looking at car here in Mindanao and I find them over priced by at least 100,000 pesos, so I got a quote from Manila and plan on buy my car there and driving it back to Mindanao..

Dati umaasa lang din ako sa parents ko pag dating sa sasakyan. Nung nagkapamilya ako nagulat ako sa mga gastusin para sa sasakyan. Akala ko noon monthly amortization, change oil at diesel lang iisipin tapos okay na. Di pala. Ngayon may tinatawag na PMS, tapos may insurance pa tapos kung malasin ka eh repairs. Now, I know why my parents were mad and sad when I took our vehicles for granted back then.

I consider the budget first then anong model yong pasok. Honestly I almost bought an old stock G4 and inquire about an old stock Almera as well.
But something happened that allowed me to increase my budget by a little bit.
That’s why my final choices were Kia Stonic and Honda City.
I ultimately choose the all new City because of the reliability and refinement
@@ChanlimitedLife I'm also considering those two as well, Kia Stonic and Honda City. Did you have a chance to test drive the Stonic? For me the biggest deciding factor will be the driving feel.
@@bshbbth24199 Unfortunately hindi ko natry yong Stonic. Yong driving experience ng City is great. I think Mazda 2 is better ng kunte pero vs other subcompact. I think City will win.

maybe its also good to factor in depreciation ng kotse. after five years, in a honda will usually go down to 45% loss sa value ng oto. mas bagsak pa kung chinese brand or ford. Literal na sunog pera ang depreciation. kahit hindi mo gamitin ang kotse at itago sa garage, depreciated pa rin sya.

I currently own a 2013 mirage base. Balak ko magupgrade to a vios, yaris top of the line na 2nd hand siguro mga 2014-2016 model if okay naman mileage. I have gross income of around 40000php. Kaya naman po no? Given na may nasave ako and ibbenta or trade in ko yung lumang car ko na 85k odometer.
Hi Mits, Ikaw mas nakakaalam ng monthly car expenses mo, so ang variable cost na lang jan eh yong magiging new monthly amortization mo in case instalment.
Or if i-cacash mo naman, I think kaya mo yong monthly car expenses kase same situation ka lang naman. Car model lang yong mag iiba.

@@ChanlimitedLife yeh, so im from a 3rd world country also so i dont think this is an excuse, but we service every brand there (except diesel i think is 10k km) only every 15k km.
So my previous 2015 Honda was 15000km ; 30000km and then 45000km and i think 60000km is the last.... all services are free.
Spark plugs; Oil; Air filters; Brake bleed, pad and disc check, hand brake check; Aircon service. (things like brake discs and pads and clutch cable or clutch kit tyres stuff like that you have to pay for)
I dont understand why its every 6 months or 10000km here and you also have to pay for the service, its crazy.
This means the dealers really make good money from services - I mean more than they should
The fact Mazda is offering free PMS for 5 years is so satisfying 😄

@@ChanlimitedLife Planning to upgrade sana this year ng City RS or emgrand from Grand Vitara na napakatakaw sa gas. pero bigla din ako nag alangan sa dami ng mga gastos na dapat i-consider din, bukod sa mahal ng gas ngayon. bigla ko din na consider yung mga hybrid, posible nextyear or 2 yrs from now may mga lalabas na masmaganda at mas mura.
