    Good effort. Suggest following corrections to be made to get the concept right.
    1. Loadlines restrictions (legal limits) are applicable for density of SW 1025, if there is no draft restriction at port it doesn't matter whether you are overdraft in port. It's called FWA/DWA.
    2. Limiting draft winter at Skaw, displacement for SW(1025) should be taken not FW(1000) on same note above.
    3. Cargo to load at Luga = (Winter DW-consumables) + consumption to Skaw (though negligible but technically incorrect!)

    q2 - For UST luga, You have taken 1.025 initially then 1.000 Please clarify.

    Good explanation but you shall consider taking max cargo intake for density of SW 1025 since the Load Line convention allows to submerse your draught for FWA/DWA based on the density in the dock.

    You can load 92658 disp at load port. The ship will sink equal to FWA above W line in fresh water which is allowed by ILLC. If you load 90000 disp she will arrive at Dunkirk with draft 14.1(-)DWA.

      Yes.... the submersion of load line is allowed in FW and Dockwater as per the ILLC. However, this concept was deliberately not included in this video for a purpose as we intend to do a separate video on the topic of FWA and DWA. There we shall be explaining the concept in a clear and detailed manner!
      Deadweight calculations/ stowage plans and loading sequences in themselves are huge topics and therefore all other related concepts shall be taken up separately! Stay tuned!

    Considering she will consume bunkers from ust luga till passing Skaw, shouldn't we load the amount equal to the bunkers which will be consumed in order to maximize cargo intake?

      That quantity in present circumstances is hardly of any value and hence was not taken into consideration.

    If the depth for cross point ( sound channel ) you can load to summer draft but if the unloading port have available depth also

    You can load more cargo for 1.025 winer mark, not for 1000 and check again draft limit point. You can sink winter mark to FWA.

    Suppose my summer draft is 13.5 and i load from summer port to discharge at summer port.. now density at load port is 1.020 . So do i convert my displacement of summer draft to 1.020 or keep displacement of summer draft @1.025 and let it submerge beyond 13.5 m draft ?? Awaiting reply

    good day sir, why when adding all to cargo loaded at ust luga, there is difference between diesel oil and fw quantities bit confused as at skaw cargo loaded was 75,830 disp was 90,398 but at same cargo dwt changes to 90,426 at ust luga

    Hello sir , i ve one doubt while explaining loadline n zone you have mention loading port is in summer zone n disch port is in winter as you are in nov month, my quest is when you are in month of nov so loading port ll be or ll be not in winter zone as you are already in nov month n winter start from 1 nov to 31 march????

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it that we do not need to apply density correction on displacement for Loadline restrictions? So if vessels draft at winter point exceeds its winter loadline draft at @ 1.000 density, its fine, for as long as it will be at its winter draft or less if calculated to SW density.

    I have one question, In some other videos not yours but other channels, they applied density correction to dead weight . Please explain do we need to apply density correction to displacement or to dead weight ?

      The density correction could be applied to either displacement OR deadweight. Both will yield the same result. It's just a matter of your convenience, however, applying to displacement makes the calculation clearer and you can compare the results with loadicator more conveniently.

      Imagine that at draft 12.00 mtrs the displacement is 90000 mt at density 1.025 [obtained from tables]
      The light ship of vessel is 12000 mt.
      Let us calculate the density correction
      density correction = 2195 mt
      Case 1 :
      Disp @ 1.025 = 90000 mt
      Density correction (-) 2195 mt
      Corrected displacement = 87805 mt
      Light ship (-) : 12000 mt
      Deadweight : 75805 mt
      Case 2 :
      Disp@ 1.025 = 90000 mt [1.025]
      Lightship (-) = 12000 mt
      Deadweight@ 1.025 = 78000 mt
      Density Corrn (-) 2195 mt
      Corrected deadweight = 75805 mt
      Hope it clears.

      @@funnel2tunnel360 so first we have to find density correction value. But with interpolation method it is not coming correct. To find the value of density correction =2195 mt , we need to apply interpolation in first case.
      Case 1: 90000 ×1.000/1.025 = 87805 my
      87805 -12000= 75805 Mt
      Case 2: 90000 -12000 =78000 Mt
      78000×1.000/1.025= 76097 Mt
      I have this doubt

      Finding out density correction doesn’t require any interpolation.
      Density corrn =
      (SW Disp x Density) / 1.025

      Unpumpable ballast in itself means the quantity of ballast water which cannot be pumped out using pumps. Lower the quantity of unpumpable ballast higher is the quantity of cargo you can carry. So a smart Chief Officer will always strive to pump out maximum ballast during loading so that he is left with minimum unpumpable ballast quantity

    Im confused with u man.... Hahaha ..corect me but 14.185 m with dsplacemnt 92658mt at skaw... U will deducted by lightship and other weights at skaw... Den plus ur fo or do u will consume from loading port .. the answer is ur max cargo ... Sorry if i am wrong... Make it simple because my iq is so low..thnx..
