Sounds great! I can neither confirm or deny with Icelandair being a airline that interests me a lot that i may or may not make a 757 video in the near-ish future 😅
Great video! I flew from HEL (Helsinki, Finland) to YVR (Vancouver, Canada) via KEF (Reykjavik) and back to HEL this summer (2024). A plane was Boeing 737 MAX 8 and MAX 9...Those planes are super cool. There are lot of space to sit even I was travelling in economy class.
Such a nice and well done video ☺️👍. Thank you veru much. Very informative too. The aircraft painted in black is an ATR-72 of the danish airline named Alsie Express. They do domestic and international flights between, among others, Copenhagen and Sønderborg and between Copenhagen and Rønne ☺️
Excellent video Dom. Especially the food and beverage company. Looks an amazing experience, will defo have to look at flying with these in the fututre.
Excellent video Dom! The best short haul business class I've tried in Europe would probably be Turkish Airlines' A321neo from NCE to IST. If we're talking the absolute best luxury seat in the sky on an intra European flight, I don't think you can beat flying Emirates' fifth freedom route from Malta to Larnaca, Cyrus which even operates with a First Class cabin equipped 777. Otherwise you can't fault Singapore Airlines from Barcelona to Milan (and vice versa)
Hello Worldwide Dom! Iceland Air does look like great airline. (Btw, just saw the news about Alaska Air’s emergency and subsequent grounding of their aircraft. We just watched your video on them recently.)
Thank you I’m happy you enjoyed it. 😁 It is very sad, thankfully no one was hurt but I personally am beginning to ask a lot of questions about the 737 MAX. Simply to much has gone wrong since taking off.
Thank you fir sharing a great flight. Yes, getting into the airline membership lounges is nice before a long or long-haul flight. I agree with yoou about seeing some 767s retiring or being replaced. I happen to love the 767s and the sister 757s. I have flown on the 767s to Europe and to South America a few times. Herevin the USA side, United Airlines and American Airlines I have flown on the 767s respectively in Business Economy Classes. For me, I still love wide-body aircraft on 3 hours and more flight times. I hope Iceland Airlines can be safe with the narrow body aircraft fliying those distances that they will serve.😊
I just came across your channel! I am loving your candor, humor, down to earth perspective and love of coffee! :) Keep them coming. I should focus back on work now instead of planning my next trip. I've prefer Turkish for business class within Europe, if for anything, the food!
Great video Dom! The place advertised on the IFE brings back memories of me ordering a Fat one of their burgers - some of the food and drink there incorporates the name of the place 🤣
Isn’t the Saga lounge before passport control? I wonder how many people have missed their flights due to lounging in there and not accounting for the time it takes to get through PC.
0:52 decades? lol I don’t know about that. They started doing that after the financial crisis in 2008 and it saved their economy by boosting tourism, which is now their main industry. So essentially about 16 years, give or take. Definitely doesn’t qualify as decades.. it’s certainly a long time and it has been good for the Icelandic people. It saved them, not just the aviation industry, the entire country. Half of my family lives there, and they all speak well of tourists because they survived a collapse because of them. Yes the massive influx of tourists can be a bit intrusive on such a small population, but they are mostly grateful. Before this time, most people didn’t even know Iceland exists. In the 90s and 00s I would tell people I’m going to Iceland, and they would be like huh? Or like, wait like the mighty ducks?? And since 08-10, if I say the word Iceland the response is 99% of the time either I went there last year, or someone I know went there recently I really want to go. It’s a massive shift and it has greatly enriched the people of Iceland. I only worry about preserving the things that make Iceland amazing.
Thank you, that very appreciated. Of course as you’d expect I 100% agree that we should have more views. People sharing the videos does help but I do think there is a lot of work yet to do to improve the content more 😁
Good video 👍 when was it filmed ? I couldn't spot a date just curious as you mentioned the volcanic eruptions and I noticed waterlogged land as you came in to land
Stunning video work there, Dom. I'm just curious , did you fly to Iceland via Scotland for this vlog or via the states ? Is it cheaper do you think to go via Iceland rather than London from the States as a stopover? Thanks 😊
I Flew from Glasgow to Iceland on PLAY airlines, The video is on the channel. For Transatlantic, I'll give you one of my own top 4 lists. The cheapest between Europe and North America is in order 1. PLAY, 2. Norse Atlantic, 3. Tap Air Portugal, 4. Icelandair, prices vary though & for the UK the cheapest way is to fly PLAY via Iceland into Dublin then get a cheap Ryanair flight to the UK. Hope that helps.
While the actual flight itself was ok - nothing special - when I flew from Glasgow to Keflavik, the rest of my trip with them was a disaster. They LIED to me at Glasgow by saying weather had closed Keflavik. NOT TRUE - their website showed it was working as normal. Offered a Voucher for £7 but broke EU law by not telling passengers they were entitled to claim compensation of up to €250. Took off four hours late and got to my Reykjavik hotel late in the evening - when almost everything was closed - to find they had FAILED to actually booked the hotel I had paid for in advance as part of their holiday offer. On the way back we had to get up at 3am to get back from from Reykjavik and were directed to their self check-in machines - ALL BROKEN - so huge queues at the desks. Refused to engage afterwards but eventually got the EU compensation, although the legal claims firm took almost half in fees and VAT. Conclusion is to AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
What do you think is the best Business class within Europe? Let me know which ones I should review next.
Liquor, beer and a coffee for breakfast that’s a hell of a combo. Still make the most of the lounge. Looked like a nice experience.
The way I see it is you’ve paid for it so you may as well experience what they have on offer 😁
Great video, Dom! I flew on one of Icelandair's 767-300 from SEA to KEF last May (2023). I actually liked Saga Class on the 757's over the 767's.
Sounds great! I can neither confirm or deny with Icelandair being a airline that interests me a lot that i may or may not make a 757 video in the near-ish future 😅

I have always liked Icelandair 🇮🇸 & Iceland 🇮🇸 in general both are definitely worth a try if you get the chance. 😁

I would agree with TK or those long-haul 5th freedom airlines having traffic rights within Europe.
I May have got a couple 5th freedoms done and in the footage bank waiting to be edited already 😉

Thank you, same to you. Icelandair have a very good safety record so I'm sure they will manage just fine.

A beer and a shot for breakfast...... Now that's the way to travel!
Absolutely! I mean it’s business class, isn’t that how all businessmen start the day? 🤔
Great video Dom
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Lee
Icelandair is a consistently good airline, It'll be sad when their 757's/767's are gone.
100% always seen the 757 as icelandair’s aircraft
@@WorldWide_Dom Same.
Another cool video, Dom….thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! I flew on TF-ISO in November 2023 from LHR!
Reminds me it was 24 years ago that I flew Icelandair...eeek!😱
Great video Dom! The place advertised on the IFE brings back memories of me ordering a Fat one of their burgers - some of the food and drink there incorporates the name of the place 🤣
Oh now I definitely need to go and try that place next time I’m there, could make for an interesting expense claim if you were there on work. 🤣
Nice video Dom, I wonder if the in-flight entertainment message had any affiliation to Phat Fooks, Melbourne 😂
😂
Probably 🤣
Rob your funny lol

I agree Icelandair are a magic airline and Iceland is an amazing country.
Black ATR72 flies to Sonderborg. 😊
Great video Dom. It'll be sad when the 767s are no longer with us.
Thanks Tim, your right it will be sad, this is why I was compelled to fly on one before that happens
Happy New Year! Fly and stay healthy. Cheers.
Thank you. 😁 happy new year to you too!

Great video Dom , might have to test the airline out myself on the widebodies maybe between Iceland and North America
They really are worth it! Definitely would recommend them to anyone. 😁
Great video there dom maybe do ita airways on the brand new a220

Doh! Yes of course already watched that 😅. Blame Christmas.
It’s ok, Christmas time does that 😂
Would be interesting to see what Atlantic Air is like. By the way Delta fly a 767 into Edinburgh.
Is this your full time job now Dom ?

Thank you for watching, I'm happy you found some value in it. The flight cost was £480.
I like your reports. Great report, nice voice. Thx.
