Join me on a 737 MAX 8 from Helsinki to Keflavík, and a 757-200ER from Keflavík to Seattle where I experience both segment types so you can decide for yourself. I flew to KEF with my mom from RDU and upgraded to Saga. It was worth it, for her comfort. She can get a bit claustrophobic in airplanes and in smaller seats, but the size of the Saga seat was perfect for her. She didn’t care that the seat didn’t fully recline, it was still comfy enough for her to fall asleep. She slept the whole way there.
Love a trip in Saga. This video deserves more views!
I have flown Icelandair numerous times and love their service. I definitely prefer the layover to break up the trip to Europe.

I am planning a trip to Iceland and was excited to try out Icelandair, but after seeing how disappointing the hard product is on the Saga Class, I would rather go with Delta with proper lie flat seats. Definitely will not spend 7+ hours in those seats even if they have a superior soft-product than Delta.
Macarons aren’t random, it’s something sweet with tea and coffee. People would pay a lot to get that amount of salmon at a restaurant, be greatfull.
Always grateful! Just thought for customers paying more than $2000 the airline may want to invest in a more robust menu to successfully compete with other mainline carries-I just want Icelandair to continue winning! And for the macarons, I was just noting they were culturally a bit random. I personally like when airlines provide something with a bit more cultural relevance to the country they represent, like Finnair providing Fazer chocolates or JAL providing Japanese pudding as a treat with coffee. ☺️🙏🏼
