    Just got mine this weekend! The reviews don't do this thing justice, it's a beast! Who cares about gas mileage? Go buy a Prius and stay the hell out of my way...

    Between the lowered ride height and performance tires, I wouldn't off-road the SRT.
    Oh I had plenty of runs, I think I did it more than most, 5-6 times. I just didn't check to see if the mic was working.
    I also had an awesome shot of the nose but didn't realize the GoPro had gone into still photo mode. Fail. If I didn't work so cheaply, I'd fire me.

    Next car for sure!! Love my 2012 mustang 5.0 but road trips are a pain w that lil car! This thing is sweet!!!!

    SRT has different performance tires. Standard JGCs get on/off road tires (don't recall the brand). High-end Summit and Overland models get all-season tires on 20-inch wheels (Laredo and Limited get 17-18 inch wheels). Hope that helps.

    What a great review and great recovery! You should have told them you need to make the run again. ;-) It is gratifying to see us turn out such great vehicles and watch your fair reviews. I wonder how much Costco TP it would hold in the back and if this is as agile off road?

    One of the problems with it is an incredible amount of tire noise entering the cabin. The tire size (295/45/20) is extremely rare and only comes as a run-flat now by Pirelli.

    We have this car and love it. Roomy, great value, averaging 14L/100 which isn't too bad because we live in a hilly area. We did 0-100 in 4.4s :) Seats are amazingly comfy with lumbar support for passenger- not many cars have this.

    • @Raul23017
      @Raul23017 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's ridiculous, X5M and Cayenne is More Reliable than this Off Roader.
      In terms of Quality and luxury, is the BMW and Porsche. But this car is really a good looking ride which can make anyone buy it.

    • @adamsoszka815
      @adamsoszka815 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Raul Madrid They Cayenne is a dog compared to the SRT. You'd have to spend $50k more on a Turbo S to beat the Jeep, and that's stripped Cayenne vs a loaded SRT.

    the car is awesome, its look that she can tear up the asphalt with that monsters power, V8 hemi 6.4L, did saw it rock crawling and off road but here come's the big question, dose it off road through heavy sand road with out sticking in a sand.

    Important too: Cars equipped with the very toxic 1234 yf refrigerant in the
    climate control system are impossible to sale here in Germany at the moment,
    Many new US Cars have this.. :- (

  • @kbc3000
    @kbc3000 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    For all the rich history of Chrysler and Jeep, future sales will be difficult here in
    Germany for Fiats very bad reputation... The Company is trying to sale
    Chrysler cars with a Lancia label here, no good idea! The only cars i saw
    was a Fairmont SUV and a dealer 200 Lancia model in the last 6 month!
    It seems that Jeep is knocked out by Range Rover here in Europe!
    and of course the domestic tribal Audi BMW Merc are leading..and btw only one US Car dealer in Munich!

    Well, ran my 2011 BMW X5 50i with Dinan stage 2 tune against a new GC SRT and left it for dead in 5 runs till the dejected driver tapped out. You don't need an X5M to be faster than this Dodge product. It looked pretty nice though.

    • @wk2srt286
      @wk2srt286 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rofl!! My '14 Jeep SRT would leave your X5 in the dust, I'd race you from a dig, roll w/e you want fool, I have raced the 160k Cayenne and beat it by a full car, an X5M can't touch my SRT

    • @wk2srt286
      @wk2srt286 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You raced your X5 dinan stage 2 against a stock Jeep SRT, try racing a modded one that would be more of a fair race, I wouldn't brag about beating a stock suv when I'm running a heavily modded one, I'm 85k into my Jeep SRT but It can make the 160k cayenne look very very bad, how bout you try racing a modded 1st gen Jeep SRT?? You have no chance against one of those

    • @rdvideoclips
      @rdvideoclips 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      wk2 srt Fair comment. However, $85K into a Jeep! Wow!
      How about some 1/4 mile time slips to justify spending that kind of money?

      This Vehicle is not JUST a Drag Strip "Weapon"!!! It's a: ALL Weather, All Roads(even Off Road, if you're not FOOLISH), High Capacity, Tow a decent sized Trailer of Toys, reasonably Luxurious, Seats a Family of Five, Grand Touring MASTERPIECE!!! That just happens to be Capable of Blowing the Doors off of Average "Sports" Cars!!!
      And do ALL OF THAT at 50%-75% of the COST of EVERY Reasonable Contender!!!!
      ps, $45,000-$75,000 buys a LOT of: Insurance, Fuel, Tires, Servicing, Repairs, Road Trips, Upgrades, Track Time, Food, Housing, ect... HELL, it buys a Fu*king College Education!!!!!
      Besides, Hundreds of other Reviews have EXACTLY the Data that you want....

      Too bad Jeep cheats people by adding without the buyers knowledge "secure etch silent guard security system" at a cost of $399.. We stated we did not want any extras but they did it anyway..ours was done while we were signing the papers.. Jeep has been sued in at least 2 states for this practice.. $399 for a quick chemical etch. Dust from it came off on my hand when I touched it. The Service(I did not want) is only good for 3 years so I'm stuck with etched glass as long as I own the car. Honda did something like this in the 90's with Proloc system.. Car dealers are whores

    What's the deal with the cheap, tacky plastic tabs pieces beneath the headlights? This looks horrible and totally out of place on $60,000 + premium SUV. Chrysler/Fiat/Jeep should have created headlamps that integrate with the front grille trim like the 2014 Grand Cherokee base models! Exterior wise, the 2012 - 2013 Jeep SRT versions look much better IMO.

      Ahmed Kira Is it reliable? or Complaints already? I like the shape but reliablity is a ''Must'' for me. How much km you got on it?

    • @ahmedkira4388
      @ahmedkira4388 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No mechanical complaints, but I did buy an extended warranty. Without it, it does have a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty in the USA, and bumper to bumper for 3 years/36K miles without the extended warranty. I'm thinking of adding a Catch Can also in hopes of prolonging engine life.
      BTW, I got 4.3 seconds 0-60 last week. Love it!
      I drove 2000 miles so far. From one long trip, my overall MPG was 18. But for 200 or so miles of staying within 70-75 MPH, I averaged 23. For around town fill ups, I've averaged 12-14 MPG. But it's worth it! Fun to drive, and the UConnect is ridiculously awesome. Voice recognition has been great! I Just say 'navigate to xxx main st., Los Angeles, CA', and the navigation is done! This is what ALL car entertainment systems should strive to be. 19-speaker system: unreal!!!
      Actually one small complaint with the bluetooth audio streaming, but I have to test with other phones. With a Galaxy Note 2, the bluetooth streaming stops for a second or so every once in a while. One time, it did this every minute. But that might be my phone, so I need to test with another phone.
      Things I don't like:
      - thinking I have to pay $20/month after 1 year to keep the UConnect Access.
      - stuff slipping around in trunk, so I got a net
      - traffic in navigation relies on Sirius XM, which isn't as accurate, and will require a subscription after first year. Be nice to have a free Sigalert app and have it integrated into the navigation.
