I have been watching mega amounts of tutorials for quite awhile trying to find the best way to start as a newbie. I need to feel comfortable with whoever is explaining the process that best suits me. Taaadaaa! Thank you so much for being so patient and articulate, I'm pretty sure I'll finally feel confident enough to construct a mini book!I truly appreciate this tutorial. Perhaps you would make for a wonderful teacher! And I have always admired your creations, very beautiful work, again, Thank you.
Oh Tammy what a fantastic comment. You so made my evening! It always makes me feel good that something I share another tries to make! I'm working on a new Design Team, Country Craft Creations. There is a Facebook group that goes with the store, Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations. There are loads of free tutorials there as well. Be sure to check them out. Once you make one you will be hooked! It's such a wonderful hobby, enjoy! Patti
You are a born teacher. I could follow each of your steps without any problem. I am anxious to see how you dress this book with Botanical Tea paper. I have just become one of your biggest fans. Thank you so much for making everything so easy. I am making a Botanical Tea mini book for my daughter and have been very hesitant to really get into it.
OH Barbara I'm so glad you found it easy to follow, I like to try and tell it like I'd do it. Cut into that paper and get started you won't be sorry, it's such pretty paper! Patti
I just found your videos and am so glad i did! You make amazing creations with lots of quality and care put into them. Your step by step videos are on point as well, too many times the viewer cannot really see how something was done. You explain your steps well and i love having the measurements typed on the screen. Thanks for showing me ways to create a base to go wild with my own ideas!
Thank you so much. You have made it clear how to do this book . I watched the mother goose video and liked it so much. I wa excited when you said you made a tutorial for it. I flipped right over and found it .I appreciate that you share your knowledge with us for free, no charge!! Being on fixed income really stinks lol. Trying to get used to the fact that I can't just buy whatever I want anymore lol . Bummer. People like you make it better for people like me! ! : ) ) Thank you so much, I'm going to make this. I think it would be wonderful Christmas gifts for my grandchildren. Blessing upon you and yours
Oh Charlene I agree I think your Grandchildren would love it. Will you put the photos in for them, that's always the fun part, seeing the mini come to life. I hear you about being retired on a fixed income, it stinks, but not enough to make me want to go back to work, lol! Thanks for watching and taking a moment to comment, that means so much to me! Patti
I learned this method from a friend and it's the easiest way I've ever found to do the hinges! You can do it too!!! So find some paper and start cutting, trust me it's so fun but very addictive! Patti
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this tutorial. I have been struggling to find a tutorial which shows the hinge system with a thicker gusset. You have helped me so much and I finally feel I have the confidence to bind my pages! I was worried I would ruin it but I think I will be ok now that I've seen this.
+Lisa Owen Oh Lisa I'm so glad that what I've shared has helped you out. It's so much fun and just unbelievably rewarding when you hold that finished book in your hands!!
+nwlady1949 thank you for taking the time to reply.. Just wanted to ask your advice. Is the half inch hinge strong enough for really thick 8x8 double pages? Do you ever need to use bigger hinges?
+Lisa Owen I think half inch would be strong enough but I really don't see why you couldn't use 3/4" or even up to 1" for the hinges. If you try the wider ones you'll have to let me know how they work.
+nwlady1949 thanks very much for getting back to me. I've been a bit silly in doing all separate pages rather than folding the card over to make a double over the hinge. So it's going to be pretty thick. But I will have a think about it and will let you know how it goes. I really appreciate your advice as I've been a bit lost now that I've reached this stage . So glad I came across your video!
I absolutely LOVE your mini and am in the process of making one for my granddaughter's Iceland vacation photos. I showed it to her and she is thrilled. Still some work to do on it, but it is getting there! Thank you so much for your awesome videos and ideas!
Just had my morning coffee and watched this video. I really like this album, it really holds a lot of pages for it's small size. You have given very clear instructions on the making of the "guts" of the album. I plan to try one of these soon. Thanks
Let me tell you I have gone through your videos and I want you to know you are a great crafter--wonderful work from a great mind--I can't wait to get started--thank you kindly for sharring your great work of crafting with us--hugs
Oh Patsy comments like yours just make my day! I am so glad you like what I create and that it gives you a little incentive to try something I've shared. I would absolutely love to see what you create if you'd share with me when you're done! Patti
I'm so glad I found this tutorial. I've been so frustrated with so many choices out there that seem overwhelming or just too strange LOL ... I'm going to put aside what I've been working on and do your version. Great ideas and explanations and so doable. I've got quite a stash built up of G45 and I'm excited to finally use some. Thanks
Oh this is so great to hear Sherri. As you're working up the mini if you have any problems or feedback on the tutorial be sure and let me know. Have fun and I hope you'll share what you've created when you're done! Patti asoulsheartbeat@gmail.com
Hi, I just wanted to say thank you so much for your video, never having made a book before I need very clear and concise instructions and have found it in yours. Looking forward to watching the follow on instructions for how to decorate. Thanks again Michelle.x
whippetwonderland3 Hi Michelle it's comments like yours that make me understand why I share what I do with other crafters. I'm so glad I've given you some information to help you be comfortable making a mini and enjoying the process as well! Have fun, don't stress and just enjoy watching the paper transform. Patti
Patty wow I love your tutorial I have followed along and even though I wasn't sure when I started I managed to make it I haven't got it all decorated yet but I am sure happy so far. I think you are a fantastic teacher and you are so talented I can't thank you enough for sharing all your knowledge with the rest of us. I have subscribed and I am going to watch all of your videos and learn from the master. I have a few favorites I've learned from and you will be one of them. Thanks again and your book is beautiful. I love your personality you make me smile. Melody
Hi Melody, oh my you made my morning. Nothing is better than knowing someone was able to follow along and repeat the steps at home! That's a huge compliment for me. I am so happy that you wanted to watch my videos and exceedingly delighted you took the time to leave me a comment. Have a beautiful crafty day. Patti
Patti I had so much fun watching this tutorial!!! The album you show us at the start was adorable and The step by step tutorial was perfect! Now I feel confident that I can do my first album!
Ooh so happy I decided t9 watch all all of my favorited videos here on TH-cam. This was the best tutorial then and still is. I made my first album with this video. Happy to see you are still creating. Thank you!
Hi Patty - I just want to say thank you for your tutorial vid's on this album. It's beautiful. Watching you build it up over the tutorials was great. It's a lesson learned; just keep at it and it will come together in the end. You're very talented ... thanks for sharing that talent with us. Kind regards, Julie (from New Zealand)
Thanks so much Julie for your kind words on my Triple Flip mini tutorial. So glad you liked how it came together. So happy to have you stop by and will look forward to seeing you again. Patti
love your video!! I have watched quite a few from different people and just had an eureka moment!! Why in the world have I tried to put 1/4 inch between my pages when scoring every half inch is the way to go for me!! Thank you so much for sharing with us!!! Blessings
I have had the same problem. I am new to scrapbooking and all the tutorials I've seen only leave a quarter inch gusset and I new this would never work for me with the thick pages I make. Finally came across this tutorial by accident after days of searching! So I can go ahead and bind all those loose pages into an album!
Stellyne Curtis Thanks so much, it's always so rewarding when someone tells me they like the tutorial and the series. So very happy you stopped by to watch my videos and hope you'll come back often. Patti
Patti, I've finished my album & posted it on my you tube channel. I'd never have managed it without your help. I gave a big thanks to you in my video but unfortunately got your channel name wrong! I'm so silly! I've added it to my description though. Thanks again I'm so grateful to you
I want to thank you so very much for your tutorial. I learned so much! I'm new to the paper aspect of crafting. Your voice is soothing and you never lost my attention. I've watched others that I just couldn't grasp due to their technique and monotone. Yours is awesome and I will now start to follow you. You must be a teacher by nature! I'm doing for X-mas presents and it thrills me that I came across your channel. Bless you and yours. Happy Holidays!
Just wandered upon your channel, which I subscribed to. Love this album! Your instructions are incredible. I've been a mini album maker for several years and picked up a few new techniques. Am definitely going to try this one, really like the way you assembled your pages on to the hinge. Thanks for sharing and great job!
Thanks Janny, please excuse how late I am in answering this, sometimes life just gets in the way of the fun stuff. I'm so glad, as an experienced crafter, you were able to pick up some new ideas from my Triple Flip tutorial, to incorporate into your own designs. That's always a huge compliment. Happy you stopped by and will look forward to seeing you again. Patti
Oh Pam I'm so glad when someone tells me this, I try to make them easy to understand and not too terribly boring. It's so nice to know how they come across on your side of the screen. Patti
I just love this mini album. Your tutorials are very easy to understand and inspire me to get going. Just wondering do you have tips to cutting your paper with the least amount of waste?
+Cindy Krier Oh Cindy, I often make mistakes and then have to redo which is a big waste. But I have a set of drawers for Black, White, Solids and Prints and toss all the scraps in there. I go to the Black and White whenever I am adding a mat or backing and use up what I can first. Makes me not feel as bad cutting into a new sheet. I also make cards with leftovers and it's amazing how much scrap you can use up doing that.
Hiya, your videos are great, so helpful. What thickness of kraft paper is best for the hinge and pages. I made my first album but I had problems with the hinge backs coming unstuck from the spine once the pages were embellished. I used a sheet of scor-tape to attach the hinge system to the spine but in the end I had to drizzle Collall glue into either end to get a good bond. I have several baby mini albums to make from now into next year for family n friends. It's like a baby boom lol.
+Kerrie McBride Hi Kerrie, do you burnish your score tape really well with a bone folder or something similar, before you remove the backing paper? And, are you using enough of it, not just a real skinny line but a thicker area covered? I've never had any problem with it lifting from the paper, that would be maddening! The Kraft paper is about 60# I think, medium weight. Patti
I plan to give you full credit, I'm so thrilled that I actually have the same paper and that I love your mini album so will make one just about the same but with a few things different. TFS..:O) Hugs Mary
thank you for your tutorials. i just wonder something. Do you use tyvek inside the hinges also? i would love it ,if you could make a video where you put the tyvek on. i just got tyvek but i dont know if i should put it all over before i score ,or put it on after i glued the hinges together. thank you so much
+Marianne Hylander I don't think I've used the tyvek for the hinges, I'm just afraid it would make them too bulky. I'll have to play with this and see what I think. I would put it on after you scored and glued your hinges so its on the flat part or you can attach it to the spine portion. It just gives it a lot more stability.
Lovely album and very clear explanation of each and every step. Your video has helped me a lot, I can't wait to start my own own. I am little confused with the materials required to built it, like what types of paper did you use, can you please help me with that. Thanks
I used Grahix medium weight chipboard for the cover, Kraft Cardstock for the outer wrap and G45 Botanical Tea for the Decorative pages.Hope that helps Neha. So glad you are going to start your own. Patti
Hi! I am completely new to scrapbooking. I love how easy your tutorial is to understand. My biggest fear is creating the center part of the album. How do you adjust for more pages or larger or smaller binding sizes? If I had a 3" spine, I would like to add 7 or 8 pages. How do you determine the size of the score width so your hinges fit your spine?
+Pam Nelson Well Pam math is not my strong suit so mine are a lot of trial and error. Determine how much width you want between each page, I like 1/2" but some like less. Then you want 1/2" for each side of your hinge, so you need 1 1/2" for each page (spine and space between). Allow another 2" for each end. If your paper isn't long enough glue two pieces together to give you the width you need. I would do this on scrap paper until I got the measurements and size that worked for the number of pages and width of my book. I hope this helps. And do what I don't, jot the measurements down in a safe spot so you have them the next time you do a book the same size, creates you from having to start completely over again.
New Follower here....First I'd like to say "You are so awesome"!! My son Kyle is getting married in just over a week and I want to make them a nice mini album, so not my thing. (I make Art Journals and Junk Journals) I know they don't want those, so I set out scouring TH-cam for mini journal tutorials. I have come across some great tutorials, and then I found you..... joyous joyous day!!!! You are just amazing, you make me feel like I can do this. I was looking for a waterfall tut and you were making one in your mini with me series. I've been through most of them then I found this tutorial. I made on using Laura Denison's "Stack The Deck hinge. I totally love how you did yours with 1/2" gussets. I have a ? If I wanted to have 6- 8 hinges, would I add the 2" on the ends and then figure out every half inch to get 6- 8 and add that to the 2" on the ends to get the length of paper I would need? I am a mathematical moron and with the other hidden spine systems they have 1/8" & 3/8" measurements which is too much math for me. I know my comment is more like a short story, but I also have to tell you after seeing the mini series with G45 Children's Hour, I am completely changing my album, I'm going to use G45 A Time to Flourish its like Children's Hour only more adult. I thought this way the can take photos and journal stuff every month for their first yr of marriage. (Especially because they want babies right away) I also plan to make extra journaling card so wedding guests can jot them a note or a piece of advice, then I'll put them in handmade envelopes, then each month for the first year they can open the envelopes and read the journaling spots or tags. I'm really really excited to make this album now thanks to your AWE-mazing "make a mini with me" series. Hoping this finds you well!! ((((HUGS)))) 🌸💕
Kimberly Hogan Congratulations on the wedding. I'm sure they will love the mini. Kimberly the idea of having guests write notes to tuck in is fabulous. It's something that will touch their heats forever. To answer your question yes that's how I would figure out the hinges too. I like to keep it simple. You can get by with less than 2" for the front and back overlap. Just don't go too short. I would love to see when you are done. My email is asoulsheartbeat@gmail.com
I got a recommendation to your channel as I need to make a Mini Album for a Baby. Your instructions are clear and I'm so happy to get started. Thank you. I subcribed to your channel and will watch more of you later.
Oh I'm so glad, I have several different types of tutorials with different options for assembly of the mini so you might want to check them when you start your next one. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for subbing to my channel, Patti
I went back and looked at the Mother Goose mini. I had missed it. You posted it the last day of MacWorld. Try to keep my schedule in mind next time. :) I LOVE it!! I'm so excited about this one! And I love the curved spine as well. I hope you do a tutorial on that sometime. I'm pondering what paper I want to use; I'm going to be making this one.
Oh super!! I'm so glad, I can't wait to see how it turns out. I'll do a video on just how I did the curved spine when I finish up with the others. Patti
Patti, I've made a couple more albums & uploaded onto my You Tube channel. The latest one turned out really well with the fewest mistakes/mishaps. I wanted to ask you if you use anything to protect your front cover? Like some kind of spray to stop the paper marking? I used Mod Podge on one but wasn't happy with the result
There is a spray fixative that you can use for art work, I've not done it. I've never sprayed mine. Let me know if you've found something you're liking and using so I can check it out. Patti
+nwlady1949 hi Patti, it's so lovely to hear from you. I hope everything has settled down following your move. I haven't used a spray, I found an acrylic craft one made by a company called Plasti-kote but I decided not to use it. I've made quite a few albums now. The wedding one is my favourite. I loved the size and the paper collection was lovely. I'll be making another soon for someone at work and will probably do the same style again. I just love it. Hope you've managed to get your craft room set up as you will be missing it
Hi Patti, I am following you as you go, but I am stumped on the hinge material. Is it called tyeback, or is there something similar I might have on hand that would work? Thank you Wendy Rae
Hi! In this tutorial the spine - is it 2 1/2 or 2 3/4? I went to the final walk through on this one and on the screen it says 2 3/4. I would love to try and and just want to make sure I get it right lol. Thank you! (I apologize if someone already asked this)
I followed everything but could not see the use of the extra fold line inside the front and back covers to the inside of the one used for the covers. Love the way you put this together. In resizing I had to do a bit of math (ugh) to figure out how wide to begin when I want half inch flanges with a wider space between. Thank you for using good lighting, It helps to follow what you are doing.
You could use any paper Amanda. I'll have the rest of the series popping up over the next few days. Each video is about 6-10 minutes long and will cover one page to give you ideas for decorating, although you probably don't need ideas, lol. I was hoping to inspire some newbies that haven't made mini's before. If you make one will you let me know so I can link to it on my blog?? Patti
Gee Sheri I was sure I answered this but don't see it here so will do so again. I used 65# cardstock (Core'dinations from JoAnns) on this one. I have used 90# as well but sometimes it cracks. If you are having trouble bending/creasing just sprtiz VERY lightly with water then softly make your score lines and folds. Patti
Hi! I was just wondering if you have the list of the materials you used cause I'm planning to make one and I don't know what to buy. Thank you so much!
+Cloudnine Mhiamb I'm sorry I didn't make a supply list I kind of explained what was needed as I went along. You'll need Kraft and Black cardstock if you're going to make one just like mine Wet glue, like Scotch Quick dry, double sided tape, something strong like Scor Tape, the collection of your choice, Graphic 45 is great because it uses the cut outs I talk about. Have fun.
Omg thanks for the reply! I don't know what paper did you use for the hinges thing that u bought on staples so I just want ask what paper is that. Thank you so much!!!
Love making this book. What kind of paper do you use and where might I buy it? Thanks so much. Your tutorial has been the best for a beginner to make such an awesome book!! Hugz, Tree
+GodzHarleyGirl Studio Are you talking about the Kraft that the book and pages were constructed from? I got it either at Michaels or JoAnns and it was standard Kraft paper.
I've now tried twice to make this but I keep getting cracking along the spine. I've followed the instructions & manoeuvred the covers slowly. The second time I got as far as putting the inside cover in before it cracked. I'm wondering if I'm not leaving enough space between the covers & spine. Or perhaps my paper is too thick or my chipboard may be too thick (someone told me the chipboard in the UK is different to USA). Mine is 3mm thick. Does anyone have any advice as I can't seem to get past this?
+Lisa Owen Oh Lisa I'm so sorry and how frustrating that is! A few suggestions, I doubt that it is the thickness of the chipboard you're using but perhaps what you are wrapping it in is too thick. You can try spritzing the places where you are going to bend the paper lightly with water and softly massage the paper a little to break the fibers just a little and see if that works. If you have it together and it's split along the spine, then think about adding something decorative like a lace panel (I would use Beacons Fabri Tac to adhere) and cover it up and move on. I'm not sure it could be the distance you are allowing for movement. A good rule of thumb, take two scrap pieces that you've used for your chipboard covers and glue them together. Line them up to create a spacer, that width (the two chipboard piece width) is the width you should have between the spine and the front cover. I hope some of this helps and makes sense.
+nwlady1949 I'm so grateful to you for getting back to me as I know how many subscribers you have & how busy you are. The first time I think I went wrong by using glitter paper which was very thick. This time I made sure I used thinner paper but I would say it's still quite thick. I have definitely gone wrong with the space between the spine & covers as I don't think it was 2 widths. I got as far as covering the minor tears with fancy ribbon but when I put the hinge & inside covers in & gently folded it, I got major tears at the very top & bottom. I'm going to have another try today. You're tutorial is so clear & I'm determined to get it right. Thanks for your help.
+Lisa Owen OK Lisa I have been talking to some friends to see if anyone else can offer help. One suggests Carta Bella Black Linen paper, they swear it will not tear, I have not used it so I do not know. This person has an online store so I am linking to the paper here tinyurl.com/z5czuyy but if I remember you are in the UK so you will want to search and find it there. I use Coredintions Black Cat paper it works great for wrapping the books I buy the plain, no textured. I get my at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts. The other suggests Kraft Tex, which Amazon sells here - tinyurl.com/jogqsme I have not used this either but it feels like a paper but is super strong and will not tear or rip, it comes in 3 colors I think. I hope this helps, but from the sound of your note the first was surely the glitter paper, that would never work for the outside. If you want glitter on it wrap the book first, then cut pieces of the glitter paper to within an 1" or more of the outer edges, you still get the effect but nothing bending.
+nwlady1949 Patti I did it without the spine cracking! Left plenty of space between the spine and covers and it's worked! Thank you so much for your advice. You've been so helpful
+Lisa Owen Yeah yeah yeah, I'm jumping up and down here on this side of the screen. I just didn't want you to get discouraged and quit it's so frustrating. Check out the other ideas I gave you. I'm going to try the Carte Bella paper and the Kraft Tex as well and see what I think. I forgot to tell you Sizzix also has a paper out that's like a leather paper that suppose to work the same way and comes in lots of colors. So glad it worked Lisa, now you are off and running!!!! Patti
Thanks Judy, I just never have enough room, especially after photos are added with the 1/4" gussets, it's easier to just start off with more room, it always seems to get filled up. Thanks so much for stopping by. Patti
Hi Susan, I've used Miracle Tape from Viva Las Vegas stamps with a lot of success. You might want to try it and see what you think. You can buy it online through their website.
I love the way you did the pages, with the added pocket. It seems to make the album more sturdy to my eye. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Stella.

I love this video series. You did an amazing job explaining it all.
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope you’re going to make one. Please share if you do!
I just found your videos and am so glad i did! You make amazing creations with lots of quality and care put into them. I think I missed the walk through of that Mother Goose!! Your videos are so nice and clear. I'm inspired!
Thank you Miss Kathie!
I agree, you are very clear, no stumbling and right to the point! Love you!
You’re so sweet, thank you so much for watching my videos and taking time to comment. It’s really appreciated Lisa.
I am so new at this! I am having a heck of a time figuring out the hinges, but your video made it so simple! Thank you!
Your tutorials are so easy to follow! I appreciate your patience and dedication! Thanks so much for sharing your time and beautiful creations!😃💕
Oh you are so welcome, it makes it all worth while when I get comments like yours that it was easy to understand and follow.
Just had my morning coffee and watched this video. I really like this album, it really holds a lot of pages for it's small size. You have given very clear instructions on the making of the "guts" of the album. I plan to try one of these soon. Thanks
Thanks so much, and don't forget you can alter the size to accommodate larger photos if you want. Patti
Patti
Great tutorial Patti! Will be giving this a try this weekend :) Thank you for sharing!
Oh thanks so much Kate, I'd love to see what you create when you're done, will you share with me?
One of the best illustrated and explained tutorials i have ever seen. Perfect speed. hugs mona
US Traveler Oh Mona thank you so much I appreciate you watching but I truly love that you found it easy to follow.
Loving this one Patti! Thanks for making it all so easy to follow!
So glad you thought it was easy, I wanted it to be straightforward for those that are just starting out making minis. Patti
Thanks Barb, have almost all the videos done now for the pages, they'll be popping up real shortly.
Of course you can Vicky! You are so super talented you won't have any problem creating mini's except finding the time. Patti
I'm really excited to make one (or more!) of these! TFS your time and expertise with us xxx
Thanks Faye for watching so glad you like this series. Patti
Ooh so happy I decided t9 watch all all of my favorited videos here on TH-cam. This was the best tutorial then and still is. I made my first album with this video. Happy to see you are still creating. Thank you!
Thanks
This is an AWESOME tutorial!!! Thank you sooo much!!
Stellyne Curtis Thanks so much, it's always so rewarding when someone tells me they like the tutorial and the series. So very happy you stopped by to watch my videos and hope you'll come back often. Patti
Going to follow along, love the look of it.
Thanks so much, if you end up making one I'd love to see it! Patti
Patti, I've finished my album & posted it on my you tube channel. I'd never have managed it without your help. I gave a big thanks to you in my video but unfortunately got your channel name wrong! I'm so silly! I've added it to my description though. Thanks again I'm so grateful to you
+Lisa Owen Oh Lisa how wonderful thanks so much for the shout out! I've got to go look.
+nwlady1949 oh no, just noticed my video cuts off half way through. It must have been too long. I will try to do a better video tomorrow!
Great tutorial ! Iove the triple pages !
Rosa
Thanks Rosa, glad you liked the tutorial and got something useful from it. Thanks so much for visiting my channel. Patti
Thanks for making the hinge section so easy to understand, I have such trouble with it. Subbed! Can't wait to try your tutorial!
Patti
Very detailed and easy explanation Patti. Best tutorial.
Thanks Miss Sue, I appreciate you always watching! Such good crafty friends I've made. Patti
Best tutorial I have seen .Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Pauline, I’m glad you liked it.
Hi Patti - I just love your tutorials, you do such a great job. They are always easy to understand and follow. TFS xx Pam
Oh Pam I'm so glad when someone tells me this, I try to make them easy to understand and not too terribly boring. It's so nice to know how they come across on your side of the screen. Patti
just amazed with your creativity 😍
Oh thank you so much!
Wow Patti thats a great Mini. Thanks for share and the tutorial♥
Thanks Cornia, I'm so glad you like the mini and the series. Patti
Patti
woohoo, love love love it..AND I have that paper too so will follow it to the Tea.LOL
TFS
Hugs
Mary
Oh Mary that's so neat, please share with me when you're done, I want to see!!! Patti
I plan to give you full credit, I'm so thrilled that I actually have the same paper and that I love your mini album so will make one just about the same but with a few things different. TFS..:O)
Hugs
Mary

thank you for your tutorials. i just wonder something.
Patti
Pattie I have been eagerly awaiting this video series. Thank you for being so precise. Now on to the next one! TFS...Bobbie
Thanks Bobbie, I was gone home to visit family for a month so everything got pushed back a bit. Patti
Love this! Thank you very much for sharing your tutorial, I am definitely going to make a few of these albums. Thanks again.
Oh I just LOVE to hear this. Would you share you mini with me when you're finished? I'd love to see it. Patti
What an absolutely wonderful Tutorial....Thank you so much!!
:)
Debbi...
Thanks Debbi!
This was an awesome video. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you Lynn, I'm hoping it had some info you can use. Patti
your are very good at teaching! thank you : ) love this!
Thank you so much for answering my questions. Will have to go to the stamp store and find them. Thank you again Sandy
Hope you've managed to get your craft room set up as you will be missing it
what paper did you use for the cover?
Thanks so much for making this tutorial. I have to give it a try!
Hugs,
Kris
Oh I hope you do Kris and I hope you'll share it with me when you're done, I'd love to see. Patti
Hi Patti, I am following you as you go, but I am stumped on the hinge material. Is it called tyeback, or is there something similar I might have on hand that would work? Thank you
Wendy Rae
Hi! In this tutorial the spine - is it 2 1/2 or 2 3/4? I went to the final walk through on this one and on the screen it says 2 3/4. I would love to try and and just want to make sure I get it right lol. Thank you! (I apologize if someone already asked this)
It's 2 3/4". So sorry for the delay but we've been in transition moving and I'm just now beginning to get to questions and comments. Patti
+nwlady1949 no problem! I totally understand! Thank you!
Thank you so much I’m a beginner and you really made it easy for me thank you so much 😊
Your Truly an inspiration to me
Oh you've made my day! Thank you so much. Patti
Your welcome
I followed everything but could not see the use of the extra fold line inside the front and back covers to the inside of the one used for the covers. Love the way you put this together. In resizing I had to do a bit of math (ugh) to figure out how wide to begin when I want half inch flanges with a wider space between. Thank you for using good lighting, It helps to follow what you are doing.
Thanks Jane, so glad you found the video helpful in making your own. Patti
I love it, I love it, I love it. Thanks so much!
+keller crucita Thank you so much!
Thanks for a great tutorial
you explain every thing so well
that i must try it
Thanks Mimi I'm so glad that you thought everything was easy to understand. That makes me feel really good. Patti
love love love , so going to try this, no G45 for me though its to expensive to get hold of in the UK :( cry .... ha ha ha tfs xxx Amanda
Patti
Sure I will honey and will be waiting for the other vids, saved this one to refer back to x
What weight paper do you use to cover chipboard and make the hinge please
+Cloudnine Mhiamb the paper is Tyvek that I used to strengthen the hinges and spine
I don't have a Kraft paper is it okay to just use a black cardstock?
+Cloudnine Mhiamb It's basically just the color so yes any color that works for you is just great. Have fun.
Oh my. You are extra good. Thanks.
Thanks Lisa
Love making this book. What kind of paper do you use and where might I buy it? Thanks so much. Your tutorial has been the best for a beginner to make such an awesome book!! Hugz, Tree
+GodzHarleyGirl Studio Are you talking about the Kraft that the book and pages were constructed from? I got it either at Michaels or JoAnns and it was standard Kraft paper.
+nwlady1949 Yes'm, that was what I wanted to know. Thanks so much!! I love your tutorials! Hugz, Tree
Great tutorial! Tfs
Thanks so much Susan
Patti
Добрый день, что за материал вы используете??? (коричневая бумага... ее плотность?)
+Татьяна Снопкова It is 60 pound in US paper weight, medium weight paper works well. If you get it too heavy it won't score and bend well.
Awesome! Thank you sooo much for sharing!!
Oh you're so welcome Kristina, so glad you liked it.
Score tape is expensive .... do you have any knowledge of a place to get it cheaply?
Great tutorial Thanks for sharing ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Oh you're most welcome Kathleen, I'm glad you liked it
+Mimi Dbn So glad that the tutorials have helped you make your own minis. Have fun crafting. Patti
hi from mexico a beutiful and good teaching
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you like the mini and the series. Patti
can i use glue instead of that tape?
+Shweta Hossain Yes you can, just make sure it is a strong bond glue, maybe try it on something simpler first, like cards and make sure it stay held.
I love using half inch gussets!!! The quarter inch doesn't do it for me at all!
Wonderful album :D
Thanks Judy, I just never have enough room, especially after photos are added with the 1/4" gussets, it's easier to just start off with more room, it always seems to get filled up. Thanks so much for stopping by. Patti
BONJOUR, j'aime beaucoup cet album, mais les mesures ne sont pas en cm, et il n'y a pas de sous-titres, dommage.
You can convert the measurements to inches online and I'm sorry I don't do any subtitles.
Bonito, gosto muito.
Thank you so much!
Awesome!
Alta Beegle Thanks you so much. Patti
Hi, score tape is expensive.. do you know a good place to buy it cheaply?
Hi Susan, I've used Miracle Tape from Viva Las Vegas stamps with a lot of success. You might want to try it and see what you think. You can buy it online through their website.
Necesito las medidas en CM centimetros
You can Google inches to centimeters to get the conversion. Thanks so much for watching. Patti
Yes, "Flappy Do" is an official construction term. : )
Oh thank you, I'm so glad you and I have the same dictionary!
I knew you spoke the same language as me!
como lo paso a español ????
I think you're asking if this is in Spanish as well? I'm sorry only English :-( Patti
flapado love that word!
Haha, you'll find Gloria I seem to have my own language that most crafters relate to.
Don't you just love Kathy Orta for coming up with the hidden hinge system...
Raunda R I
this is nice en vet cool i'm form the netherlands en i am fan
