You might have covered this but is there a fuel cut off?
Or do you dump out the fuel when you know it’s gonna be a minute before you need your generator again.
Do you run regular unleaded or REC 90?
You being a former Yamadog mechanic carries a lot of credibility with me. 👍

It has a vent release on the fuel cap that you need to shut off and when you turn the generator to the off position it stops all fuel flow. When you start it - turn it to the choke position wait 5 seconds then turn on. It hasn’t caused me any issues - runs perfect every time. I use regular unleaded. Thx for commenting!

      @@TheRiverstoneLife Thanks for the reply.
So in order to run the carb dry you close the vent cap?
I assume you dump remaining fuel so it doesn’t go stale if you don’t plan on running it for a few months ?

@@severecracker3640 I always run my stuff. I never leave it set for more than a month, and if I was going to let it set for longer than that, I would put some fuel stabilizer in the tank and I would run it for at least 20 minutes so that fuel stabilizer can get through the whole system if I was gonna leave it for a long time and then I would actually spray some fogging oil in the carburetor until it dies,if I was gonna leave it for a long time. Just remember today’s gas goes bad in less than six months. Also, if you drain it completely dry in the carburetor that causes the needle valve, to Stick and next time when you get ready to run, it could just run fuel all over the place so it’s better to leave some fuel in that carburetor, but add some stabilizer
