I went to truck driving school and I have a class A CDL and while they didn't teach us in school, semis are usually shifted without using the clutch. I tried this with my 2017 civic sedan 6 speed and it shifts perfectly without the clutch under mild driving 1-5 gears. I haven't tried downshifting yet. When driving a semi which has straight cut gears one needs to blip the throttle to increase the RPM to match the vehicle speed to the gear. I love this car! That said, I do not advocate doing this regularly, I'm just saying this car is so well made it is easily done.

I'll be getting the 2015-2016 Honda Civic SI manual transmission (blue colour) within a few months. I literally cannot wait. I have a 2008 Honda Civic right now that I had a lot of problems with last year and I've decided I wanted to get a new car ever since then. It's finally gonna happen within a few months. Last time I drove a manual car was 2 years ago in June (I drove manual for two years before that though as I drove the other car regularly). Wish me luck. Lol. Can't wait to get it. Might post a video of it on my channel once I have it actually. Honda Civics are my favourite cars.

One thing I have always enjoyed about your channel is that you review stock off the lot vehicles. This does not seem a fair review. You are a dealer and if someone researching your channel and is wanting many of these features LED headlights, leather steering wheel, Acura parts, and others you have to upsell them or send them into aftermarket which not everyone is comfortable with. I think you should re upload it with a new intro and a disclaimer about the aftermarket upgrades and changes.
Hey i was watching this video with a burning question, would they keep the computerized parking brake from the automatics, and I see that they do. Do you ever wish that the parking brake was mechanical when starting in a hill, or do you get used to it, or do you just avoid those situations, or can you custom order it with a mechanical handbrake?
Is the car equipped with an automatic rev helper like the ford focus RS? I dont know what it's called but its basically easier for a new stick shift drivers.
Does the new 1.5 turbo have rev-hang issues like most modern manual transmission Hondas? I tried an 8th gen Civic and last gen Fit both with manuals, and the rev hang was a deal breaker for me. (Rev hang=put your foot on the clutch with your right foot off the gas, but the revs don't drop for a second or two)

jay czyzyk nope... not even close... 205hp vs 175hp the Si would burn this car even if it is just the 9th gen. I own a 10th gen Si but I would be a fool to say that the EXT is faster then the 9th gen Si.
I have a Mazda 3 and it's boaring 90% of the time. The motor is fantastic for fuel economy but it's lame and has no sole, no presence, no thrill. Yes the car hold it's own in a curve but curves are less then 1% of were you ordinarly drive. The info system is the wrost in any car, bluetooth allways jurks takes 30 secondes to boot and has a hard time reconising the usb port. So 1% in curves fun and 9% in comfort is not a good review. I tested the base model of the civic and I was wowed by everything. My next car is going to be a civic ex-t coupe manual in juste 6 months... can't wait.
this interior is just poor, the exterior I'd give 5 stars ,it looks beautiful on the out side. but interior needs work..too plain, the dash is small, and has no digital screens like the 2013-2014 models.not sure if Honda is trying to save money but the interior needs more technology

I know this comment is old but what is the point of shifting gears in a semi without the clutch? Is it simply for speed?

Tino Ortega don't. The manual with the 1.5t is wonderful. The 2017 ex-t sedan and coupe come with the turbo and manual transmission.

Patrick Gile It has a lot of rev hang! Makes it hard to shift it quickly but in normal driving and commuting it's not too terrible.
clutch upgrade will solve that problem

RadioactiveX no. It's the shutter speed catching the led lights flickering at high speeds. Our eyes don't see the change in person.

I can confirm on my '17 EX-T manual that it does NOT have remote start. Your key fob will only have the lock, unlock, trunk and panic buttons.
