    Just from looking at the cake, you couldn't tell it was egg free - which is amazing as egg free baking can be quite hit or miss at times. This is a simple and standard recipe - thank you for sharing! 👍

    I am glad that you give correct instructions and.which is really easy to follow and the main part is that you talk about only recipes nothing else really good work . I will upload a pic soon planning to make a cake from your recipe and tried your butter cream method and it came out really well.love from kerala.

      Hi Carole, my sincere apologies for the delay in replying to you! I haven't tried freezing it but I think it should be okay if wrapped tightly in cling wrap, followed by foil wrap. For how long did you want to freeze it?

      Hi Chaya, Thank you SOOO much, this means so much to me! In this recipe, I had used Amul's heavy cream (used to come in a red carton) to make the clotted cream but it is unavailable since almost a year now sadly! So I'm working on a clotted cream recipe with Amul fresh cream so it can be used with this cake! Will be uploading the video soon! 💗

    Hey can i just use milk if i dont have clotted cream or how much of amul cream to add in milk ?

      Hey, no milk would not work. Instead, you can just use whipping cream. Hope this helps. Clotted cream is essentially cream cooked in an oven at a very low temperature to help it thicken further so adding milk will make it runnier. Hope this helps! 🥰

    My brain stops after seeing that pieace of cake. ..but too bad i cant make this cream. No heavy wipping cream available here, any good brand heavy cream or subsitutue for this? Only amul cream available. One question butter cake become hard after kept in fridge and i kept atroon temperature before eating but sometimes room temperature is also cold in this winter and it keep cake hard. Any tips for that?

      Thank you so much!!! It is one of those treats that can really brighten up your day - the clotted cream makes all the difference! Initially Amul's heavy cream was so easily available but suddenly it seems to have disappeared from the stores! 😪I made this using that whipping cream from Amul but I'm currently experimenting to see how it can be made more accessible. I'm not sure if the Amul fresh cream (the blue package) would work well because of its low fat content but I'll try all variations and update with a new video soon!
      For the butter cake, I'd recommend popping it into the microwave for about 20 seconds and then letting it sit for 5 - 10 minutes. I used to do that in Dublin when the room temperature itself was about 8 - 10 C. I hope this helps! If you have any questions, do let me know! :)
