      @@ayeshaarif8102 Not under fondant, the moisture in the frosting makes the fondant melt

    Subtract the butter and add almond emulsion and u have the exact recipe from Whole Foods.... coming from a Whole Foods decorator

    • @vanessaautumn9765
      @vanessaautumn9765 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Natasha Martinez do you also use cream cheese in addition to mascarpone in the chantilly cream?

    • @tashey1203
      @tashey1203 4 ปีที่แล้ว +65

      Vanessa Autumn yes 1:1 ratio. Add powdered sugar to the whip cream instead of the cream cheese-mascarpone mixture to avoid clumps.

    • @Alyssalovesjesus214
      @Alyssalovesjesus214 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      So for the frosting it’s a 1:1 ratio of Marscapone and cream cheese, without the butter, and then add almond emulsion to the vanilla cake?

    • @tashey1203
      @tashey1203 4 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      AlyssaJensen014 no add to the frosting. I really like it so I add about a tablespoon

    Made this cake for my daughter’s Birthday and it did NOT disappoint. Beautiful fluffy moist cake. I did strain
    the berry filling to eliminate the seeds though. The cream was so delicious. Everyone loved it . Thanks for the recipe .

    Ok so I just made this.. every step. I used the recipe for you store bough cake mix turned into a bakery cake. I put these in a dessert cup and had my husband and kids taste it.. they all said it’s amazing!! Thank you! I wanted to do a test run before I actually made the dessert cups for my daughters birthday and it was a success! Thank you so much for the written recipe and the actual videos of how to do it step by step. Really appreciate the time you took to record these videos.. by far the best baker ever! Can’t sing your praises enough!

    This cake was out of this world! I've never done the reverse cream method and it is the lightest fluffiest vanilla cake I've ever had. It's honestly much better than the slices I've gotten from whole foods!! I halved the recipe and did 2 6" pans. Thanks so much for this recipe!

    • @yisy_cooks

      I just tried the reverse creaming method and I’m obsessed. Since you made this, is the frosting good on sweetness ? Meaning is it to sweet?

    At the Whole Foods in New Orleans where I first tried this... the icing tasted different than other Whole Foods. I found out they added some almond extract into the icing and it takes it to the next level! Thanks for this video :)

    The recipe we use in store bakery is very similar but we use a strawberry simple syrup instead of the jam, frosting and then chopped fresh strawberries and whole blueberries between each layer. We don’t put vanilla in our icing either but it’s something I’ve often wanted to do if I made it at home!

    Wow! I continue to learn so much from you. Can anyone answer this question? I have a wedding cake and two other cakes to make for this weekend. The bottom tier of the wedding cake is supposed to have a strawberry filling. Can I freeze a cake filled with strawberry filling? I'd like to have all three tiers filled and frosted by tomorrow (Wednesday). I'd thaw in the fridge on Friday...

    • @SugarGeekShow
      @SugarGeekShow  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know I like the smaller version too. What I would do is buy the small cake pans and pour the batter into those so you end up with 2 small cakes. Freeze one cake unassembled to use to make later, and make one cake and half the frosting and jam recipe.

    This looks so good! I’m going to try to make it this weekend. Do you have any tips for baking your cake recipe in higher elevation? I’m at around 5200ft

    Hi! I just made the berries filling. I thought it would be too much corn starch and it was. I wonder if instead of 1 oz you ment 1 tsp or 1 tbsp instead.
    Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us❤

      Thank you! Nope, you’ll wanna make the frosting right when you’re ready to use it.

    True French Chantilly cream is only beaten to soft not stiff peaks. A huge difference for many recipes, especially for dipping fresh fruit..
