I once saw the 937 in an antique store, and instantly fell in love with the thing for its mechanical brilliance. The bell wind-up was already set and I simply pushed the pressure plate down, and it rang. That wind up lasts for a VERY long time, too, which is excellent. The only issue was the price, which, having recently learned how rare it is, I completely understand. I would love to reverse engineer one and make some alternate versions of it (such as double-track or gates). They just don’t make ‘em like they used to!
I asked mom if she still had my Chattanooga set (like your engine and Wesson tanker). Unfortunately, they are no longer at my folks house. I picked up a Santa Fe set on eBay over the summer and picked up the Chattanooga locomotive. Set them up for my son with the 937 gate before Christmas. Not sure he was impressed, but my wife and I had fun. Also added the Tyco steam whistle. I subscribed to your channel…looking forward to diving deeper into your videos.
@@charliestraindepot3117 thanks Charlie I find them very interesting I have some six axle powered and unpowered engines I want to run them with about 10 to 15 cars
I want the cheaper one to add to the other side So I'll have 2 going off! you need to fix the X so it says Railroad Crossing instead of crossing railroad

I was so lucky I found this one new in the box before prices got out of hand. It’s definitely one of the coolest accessories Tyco ever made.
Very cool train sound effects added at the end
That's the smoothest and quietest power torque I've ever seen.
This is the quietest one of the 3 I have.
I love the wind-up crossing. 💙 T.E.N.
Thanks Friend 🚂
FAST FREIGHT, looks great
Oh yeah!
Ya!! Nascar racing with the choo choo lol
I know right? 😂
@@charliestraindepot3117 TYCO locos were not made for scale speed operation.

The gateman would be ideal for modeling the Steam Era!
Pete, I’m getting my steam locos ready for display. You’re absolutely right about having the signalman in the background for those video shots. 🚂
