Great video! Quick question. My OLED TV has Dolby Vision but my 4k bluray player doesn't. If I play a bluray that has Dolby Vision on a 4k bluray player that doesn't have Dolby Vision, will my TV show it in Dolby Vision? Thanks.

Nope...
You have explained what the technology of what Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision can do in televisions, but you have not explained what this actually means for the home consumer, when they are watching normal tv channels at home.
For Example…Watching a normal tv channel programme, does the consumer have the choice of turning Dolby Atmos, On and Off?
If they have that choice, what are the suttle differences of sound, when you have this type of technology and you are watching normal tv programmes?
What are the natural rules for the home consumer, when watching different types of programmes on television, with this type of sound technology?
A normal TV channel will not have Atmos enabled. Atmos is generally a niche thing for streaming and movies. If your "TV Programme" is on an streaming APP certain ones will have it enabled. However regular television doesn't have these upgrades to them as they are usually recorded in stereo format.

It can be very confusing for the home consumer.
There are TV Manufacturers out there who are selling their Dolby Atmos Televisions, by advertising to the consumer, that Dolby Atmos is an integral part of the TV Viewing process at ALL times.
The issues of natural fact and fiction can sometimes be blurred when it really comes to explaining Dolby Atmos to the home consumer.
There is one kind of reality that Dolby Atmos Televisions are part of the whole process of viewing televisions with Dolby Atmos ( as well as it is explained in the Manufacturer’s own specification and even company product videos they give out) and a completely different experience of what the home consumer finds out when they are using their Dolby Atmos Television Product at home.
The natural instructions for Dolby Atmos that the Manufacturers leave out of their instruction manuals, is absolutely astounding.
@@rogerhoward7498 if you have an Atmos setup I'd check of your show is on Netflix or one of the other apps that have the technology within them so you can enjoy it at home. Otherwise you'll need to find something else you like to watch where it's provided. Best of luck.
