So many novelty songs are forgotten, glad you got to hear this one, is a fun song. Aluminium is a tricky word to pronounce, not sure if i spelled it right either. Hope you both are having a good day .(both of you are smiling).....................................................................................................list another fun song "Apeman" by Kinks
Lilly, this man was known also for his crazy songs. such as You Can’t Roller Skate In A Buffalo Herd, Chug A Lug, Dang Me, but one of his biggest hits was King Of The Road, love your reactions my friends
England (especially London) was fashionable in the 60s for Americans ..it helped that they (sort of) spoke English! "King of the Road" is another Roger Miller song Lilly might like...
I absolutely love how TH-cam's new algorithm will randomly suggest videos from small scale creators. Never in a million years would I have found your channel otherwise but this is so charming and fun to watch. Keep doing what you're doing, it's great! Also, as one of your "American viewers", I'd love if you could point out for me where the second "i" is in "aluminum", cause I can't seem to find it!🧐
Well Two Trick, It's here in England and the rest of the English speaking world, except for North America and Canada. It seems that both spellings of the word are acceptable. Just type "Aluminium" into Google and you'll get your answer. Glad you found us though. 😄
Yea, your back!!! I cannot say I have heard this, it does look very 1960's. Lilly's looks rather stoic in this video. I would love for you to show Lilly Robin Gibb's Ellan Vannin with the King William's College video. Our unoffical anthem, and Robin Gibb's version bring a tear to my eye. Thank you!!!
I mentioned it to her tonight, and she's told me the song is Flowers by Mylie Cyrus, I don't know it, and I certainly won't look for it. Should happen next week.
The American language is derived from English but is not actually English, however their dialect is similar enough to English that most people from English-speaking countries can understand them.
The UK English has changed since the colonists left for America. All the changes aren't just one sided. The word Gotten, more common in US than UK, was once normal among Britons.
I remember that one from long long ago. Another couple of pastoral pop songs with a similar vibe from that era are. An English Country Garden, and Messing about on the River. I think Lilly would enjoy both of them . Can't recall who sang them, without investigating. If you remember them you'll identify them on YT easily enough.
I know them both Andrew. In fact I can guarantee I've played them both in the last 3 years. Jimmy Rogers sings English country Garden, but I had to look at my music folder to know that Josh Macrea sang Messing about on the river. Your post reminded me of another song I was watching a few months ago. Where have all the flowers gone.

Classic track of the 60s
Thanks gorgeous
This used to be played a lot on Ed Stewart's radio show. I haven't heard it in a very long time, thanks for reacting.

Try Do wacka doo by Roger miller. The best
Miller is a Scottish/English name in origin, so you're probably correct.
I liked that song. Not so much the dancing.

Have you heard Lord Rockingham's XI track called Hoots mon?
I think it's hilarious. Especially the bit where they say Ouch Aye!.

Steve have you forgotten about Lilly picking her song 🎵?
