      There’s actually a lot to that. Judges who haven’t eaten lunch give people harsher sentencing. That study has been repeated a few times I believe. You ever snap on someone because you were frustrated? We can behave completely differently depending on how we feel. Now imagine you’re getting a prison sentence and a judge is feeling cranky because he hasn’t had his lunch yet...

    I think its also that mistakes in car's can cost lives. Sure, if someone leans onto you in the elevator its not a big deal, no harm no foul. But, if someone wasn't paying attention and leans into you even a little while driving, you could end up losing your life.
    That being said, Luois CK is hilarious, and I agree people tend to road rage wayyy to quickly.

    I've been listening to the most brutal, mean humor for years. I listened to this special when it came out, but I forgot it, so it was great when I re-listened to it. There's a thing where people on the internet say "I spit water/coffee/etc all over my keyboard" and "I snorted water/coffee/etc out of my nose", everyone knows about it, everyone knows it's bullshit exaggeration.
    Welp. This is no exaggeration. I just was taking a shot of Crown Royal (it was on sale. it's ok. I bought a half gallon of it, I wished I'd spent the money on Jameson. Still 50 bucks), and I blew the contents of the shotglass all over my keyboard and the piece of furniture I use to put my legs up on. A good amount did indeed travel through my nasal passages. The line that got me:
    "You tested my reflexes and it worked out fine so now I HOPE YOUR KIDS GROW UP MOTHERLESS"
    Damn it.

    If bumping into other people cost thousands of dollars, jail time, or death, you bet we'd be yelling obscenities at each other whenever someone came into 5 feet of our personal space

      Walter Kovacs Very true. Especially when you have a kid in the vehicle. One time a guy cut me off and was driving like an idiot when I had my daughter with me and it immediately infuriated me. We ended up right beside each other so naturally I roll my window down and proceed to threaten him and yell obscenities at him. He wasn't paying close enough attention to realize the lane he was in was coming to a dead stop and had to lock his brakes up to avoid slamming into the car ahead of him. The large garbage truck behind him had to do the same. Basically almost caused a pile up while the lane I was in was smooth sailing. Felt like I came out victorious in that battle. I saw the fear in his eyes as he realized he fucked with the wrong angry parent with a kid on board lol

    It took me years to work how to do it. I was in my late 30s when I realised you need to consciously enter into a different mindset when stepping into the driver's seat. You need to force yourself to become someone who doesn't care if other drivers are bad drivers. At least, that's the best way I can explain it. But I went all the way from spitting venom to very laid back.

      Louis is funnier than Carlin.. I'll get a ton of shit for that and I absolutely love Carlin.
      Louis CK is on a higher plane of thought than almost everyone on this planet. I've never seen someone be able to observe human behavior and shove it in our faces the way he does.

    • @katyungodly
      @katyungodly 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Carlin and Louis are not comparable, their styles are totally different. I personally think Carlin is far funnier and more talented-he was a genius and memorized his entire sets line by line-but his style is so different from Louis, I wouldn’t call them similar. Carlin was more like a witty philosopher/analyzer of human behavior, Louis is less polished.

    • @GuiiBrazil
      @GuiiBrazil 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      George was the biggest inspiration of Louis, he even gave a speech after he died.
      They both absolutely great, they have their styles, love both of them. Comparisons are just a waste of time.
