First time listening

Rodney's timing and ability to adjust on the fly are unmatched.
Rodney was a Treasure, and very kind and supportive to up=coming young comics. Many owe him their carriers.
Dude I'm 73 years old and I'm seeing this guy for decades and I'm getting the biggest kick watching you get such a kick out of him being as young as you are So I'm getting like a vicarious trip remembering just how funny I thought he was the first time I saw him and it's like I'm reliving that Thank you man I'm really enjoying this!
Rodney Dangerfield was the best. He helped a lot of aspiring comics, including Jim Carrey when he was starting out. One of my favorite Dangerfield jokes: “My wife is dumb. How dumb? It takes her an hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes.”
Ha ha ha, ho ho ho .... what a great Rodney joke.
Shon....Rodney is the King of the one liners and so freakin' hillarious
But
I enjoyed watching you laugh even more
🤩 🤩 🤩
So he's the "Rodney King" of comedy?
@@whatareyoulookingat908
Rodney Dangerfuelds headstone says
Rodney Dangerfield
There goes the neighborhood.
What a legend!
No respect.
So, now that you've seen Rodney Dangerfield, check out Don Rickles. Don was known for his roasting abilities.
Don didnt care what race religion, creed, he's insult you because it was his thing....Loved them both. RIP DON and Rodney
King of the One Liners. He helped many stand up comics Jerry Seinfeld,Andrew Dice Clay,Sam Kinison.many more His appearances on The Tonight Show w/Johnny Carson is legendary
I still listen to Dice 🎲
@@pizzathehut. Me too
Rodney gave Sam Kinison his start!
Remember how The DiceMan would fill basketball arenas !!??
@@davefink2326 1st comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden 2 consecutive nights.I remember that "Dice Rules"
OK, that was fun. Rodney has been making me laugh since I was a kid, but watching you laugh just made it that much more funny!
He was an example of never give up on your dreams. He started in comedy back in his 20s but never made it big and became a salesman to support his family but would also wright material when it hit him and after 20+ years he went back to comedy and became a big hit.
It would be good to watch one of his complete stand-up routines because then you really get the sense of his timing and deliveries.
Rodney was the true King of One-Liners!!!!
Actually that was Henny Youngman.
I don’t get No Respect! I was out walking my Dog….The Animal Control Truck picked ME Up!! I Tell You! I don’t Get ANY Respect! I once bought a Ticket to go from New York To Chicago! The Teller told me to Stand in the Middle of The Tracks, and Wait for the Train! I once called Poison Control to ask about getting rid of Rats…The person Who answered the phone told me to take Spoonful of the Powder and drink a Glas of Water!!! 😳
No Respect!
That was Henny youngman.
Eddie Murphy told a great Dangerfield story.
When Eddie was starting out, Dangerfield sat through one of his sets.
Eddie asked for feedback. Rodney told him he was to “foul mouthed.” He told Eddie he wouldn’t be successful with all the cursing.
Eddie hit it big. Like 3 years later, Eddie went into a men’s restroom at a casino.
Dangerfield was at the urinal next to him. Without missing a beat, Dangerfield shrugged and said, “hey, who knew?”
Classic….
Dangerfield probably wasn't being serious when he said that because at that point Richard Pryor had been foul mouthed and he was certainly successful.
That’s hysterical!
I saw that, it was funny as hell.
I love that story
Favorite Danger field joke: I broke up with my psychiatrist, he said I was crazy. I Says If you don't mind I'd like a second opinion. He says okay, you're ugly too!
Thank you so very much young man for playing some of Rodney. He sure was Cool. I enjoyed it very, very much.
Dude, Rodney is too much. My face hurts from laughing at this video. Such a legend
So true! I was always curious about how funny he would be if he wrote a line of dirty and gross jokes.
I think I would die from laughing so hard!! Or it.could be dud?
This was great, Shon. If you like Rodney’s quick one-liners, check out another comedian named Steven Wright. He has an extremely dry sense of humor and his punch lines come so fast he is partway into his next joke before the punch line from the last one hits you. My wife and I saw him live in the 90s some time. It was almost impossible to keep up.
OMG, YES!!!
Yep. Mitch is another good one. All with their own style.
Yes, Mitch Hatfield is another one
Mitch Hedberg
@@bobbuethe1477 that’s right I seen him with Stephen Lynch, in Kalamazoo you think I would remember
He also did a couple good movie ie caddieshack, back to school, and meet wally sparks. If you want good laugh material those three are some of his best. Caddieshack is your must see golf movie. Back to school is arguably one of the best college movies of all time. Meet wally sparks is pretty much one of his last surprise hits despite its lack of critical acclaim.
Those movies are good but I really liked Easy Money.
And do NOT forget "Little Nicky", where he had a small role.
And Natural Born Killers
He actually used that Pray after we eat line in it
Rodney was the goat! May he RIP
Rodney was truly one of a kind. I'm not easily amused, but Rodney could always make me laugh. I recall his wife speaking about him shortly after his death. She said when he was hospitalized and slipped into a coma, she reached out to the comedy community. She explained Rodney's condition to them and invited each one of them to come to the hospital if they wanted to , to pay their final respect. She said in a matter of minutes, anyone who was anyone in the business, began showing up, literally lined up outside his room,to see him one last time. He was in a coma for days before he passed, yet he was never alone. All of the other comedians took turns and sat with him in shifts. Each one of them would tell Rodney their funniest jokes and even some of Rodney's jokes, just trying to get a response from him, while keeping him company during their vigil. Upon hearing her story, I was taken aback by her graciousness to share him in those final moments, and the amount of love and respect that his peers showed to him as he was transitioning from this life. RIP Rodney 💔🕯🕊
What's great is I've seen that video many times and still, I catch myself laughing so hard. Good stuff. Thx for sharing.
Really enjoyed your reaction, dude. Rodney was the BEST. The 18 out of 20 was one of the few I'd never heard before. Still laughing at that one.
I'm glad to have seen this compilation....he was the man....speed of wit like Don Rickles but more localized to himself than others
Absolutely thrilled you enjoyed that. Iam 58 and my Dad turned me on to him. His comedy is timeless. To the mark of a true pro. He is a legend. Keep up the awesome work. U have a new follower.
I watch a lot of your reaction videos and really enjoy them. When I saw that you were going to be checking out Rodney for the first time I knew it was gonna be fun. Watching you laugh was the best part. Thanks for all you do. Keep the great reactions coming.
Rodney was the king of one liners although some might argue that title belongs to Henny Youngman. Some other comics worth checking out would be: Joan Rivers, Ron White, Robin Williams (esp the invention of golf routine), Sebastian Maniscalco, George Carlin (Dumb Americans), Don Rickles, and Wanda Sykes.
Keep 'em coming!
I have to rewind Youngman to refresh my memory. I do remember laughing when we went to see him many moons ago. How many moons? Many many moons (stole that line from F Troop).
IT IS BALLOON!I@@zeppelinmexicano
Don't forget Buddy Hacket
Real humor is timeless... Some of his bits were almost 60 years old! Check out his movies, too... Hilarious in Caddy Shack! R.I.P. Rodney...
A constant presence on TV through my youth and young adulthood, I loved him.
He's hilarious!! Non stop one- liners!One of a kind!!😅😅😅😅
You are so much fun to watch and listen to ! Your laugh is the greatest ! I think doing the show, shirtless...makes us feel like we're visiting you in your living room. It's a different vibe than any other Reaction Channel. Thanks for the joy !!
Rodney was a menace, so damn funny and he never stopped. His gravestone reads “there goes the neighborhood”. Genius in his craft
Sitting w/Jonny Carson probably the #1 late night talkshow host in the country for 25 years. Jonny did a 20 min monologue at the start of every show w/multi colored curtains behind him. Every stand up comedian for 25 years got gray curtains behind them. No one got color. Except for Rodney Dangerfield, he 'always' got Jonny's multi-colored drapes.
The wife/u-turn one was amazing. It wasn't just the joke though. The joke was good. That one was all delivery. That's why Rodney Dangerfield was so funny. It's the delivery that takes that from being a good joke, to a laugh out loud joke.😂😂😂
Love your reactions, laughter!
" My neighborhood was ROUGH... They didn't use Guns, they inserted the Bullets Manually!"
Rodney was the GOAT. RIP, love your reaction, you cracking up is funny as hell.
Rodney was one of the greats...and he earned it!
Rodney Dangerfield is my favorite standup comedian 🤣 Gabriel Iglesias is really funny too 😂
What a great story ! It jives in with his reputation for kindness and encouragement, to young comics. After Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Eddie, et al....are gone...there won't be any comedians left, who knew and learned from old-school comedians.
Great to see young people rediscovering the legends.
My favorite Rodney Dangerfield joke:
"I put on a shirt, a button fell off. Grabbed my briefcase, the handle came off. I'm afraid to go to the bathroom!"
It made me feel good watching you laugh at
Mr. Dangerfield! I've been laughing at him for many years!!
One of a kind. Growing up with Dangerfield on TV so much in the 70s & 80s I took him for granted as an ‘old school’ comic… but when you watch a compilation with a young person who’s never seen Dangerfield, it’s a f’n riot.
You should also try out "Foster Brooks roust Don Rickels". It's from The Dean Martin shows that was send in the 70's. Foster Brooks is playing a man, who has bin drinking to mush. And he is a genius at that.
Great reaction man....welcome to the world of Rodney!!
Thanks for the Rodney memories, One of a kind.
You can see more of him in the movies "Caddyshack" and "Back to School."
Add Natural Born Killers to that
KING OF THE ONE LINERS!!!
😂🤣😂🎯💯🔥😂🤣😂
One of my favorite Rodney jokes, "My ex-wife is a water sign and I'm an earth sign. Together we made mud."
Thank you ❤ I needed this very much
That was great shon. I was laughing along with u. Some of those jokes I hadn’t heard ever. Too funny
His signature line was "I get no respect" Loved him!
Yes! His delivery was what made him. The jokes were good but his timing and delivery were over the top.
That was awesome watching you laugh with Rodney. He was a legend. Check out Sam Kinison on “world hunger” ! It isn’t as long as this video but it is one of the funniest comedic skits it’s a very unusual delivery…keep being you man !
Man your reaction was amazing your laugh is infectious. I really enjoy watching your reactions.
Thanks for this one! I know him, but I haven't seen nearly enough of his stuff!
Rodney was a gift to comedy, especially since his wife was drop dead gorgeous!
Your reaction was priceless! Thank you 😂!
OMG! I am in stitches from laughing!🤣😂🤣
Dude you made me laugh I think it's really cool how you enjoyed the video it was good to see someone laughing 0:29
Omg, I’m half way through and had to stop it five times from laughing so hard. One of the greatest shticks ever! 😂
Now, THAT'S funny!!! Just funny one-liners. No vulgarities, only good material that anyone can understand. Rodney was the best.
I can't beieve this missed his best joke ever.
Paraphrase. "I went to the doctor because I wasn't feeling good. He said You have 3 months to live. I said Doc I can't afford to pay you right now. He said OK you have 6 months."
My fav🤘❤️yes, the delivery, i can hear some of his stuff a few times and i be still wiping tears😊
his delivery was supreme... and to think he started at such a late age
I saw Rodney in LA... trying out new material...reading it from a sheet of paper..it was HILARIOUS!!!
A helluva comedian with a unique monster swag'. He was very quick on the draw too, as you can see.
Rodney has a couple great films, Caddy shack ,Easy Money, Back to school, etc his comedy is amazing
Dont forget Natural Born Killers
Awesome reaction! 👍🏼 I needed a good laugh! 😂
Glad you enjoyed him. I'm 62 first heard him in 1980.
I saw him in Concert OMG I couldn't stop laughing he was one of a kind so glad you nliked him I'm 75 it's cool to see young people laugh with him
Happy New Year to you Shon! It was fun watching you enjoy Rodney Dangerfield he was the absolute best!
Younger people don’t have a clue. This is when comedy was truly funny. Rodney also did some movies you might enjoy
I went to the doctor I said "Doc, what's wrong with me?" "You're depressed." I said I want a second opinion. "Okay, you're ugly too."
Every celebrity who knew him or worked with him has great Rodney stories. He was a wild one off stage as well.
I'm 52, grew up with Rodney Dangerfield, he always makes me laugh. Master of the one liners this video cracked my ass up in 2024, subscribed!
Dude, your reaction was spot on to his humor. I laughed just as hard with you as I did at the jokes.😅😂
Shon you have to see his movies. Back to School, Caddy Shack and Easy Money are the real deal
And he was in Natural Born Killers
Don Rickles, only if you're ready for him. Greatest ever. Our late night comedians cried and honoured him when he passed. Will never be another like him. That era is gone, where people were not offended and sensitive.
Rickles' greatest moment, IMO, was not one of those canned roasts but was his roast of Ronald Reagan in Washington. That was an unbelievable performance of wit and timing, just something that nobody else could match.
You made my day! I appreciate your great sense of humor!
Shaka brah!
He had such perfect delivery and timing.
I'm so glad you found Rodney Dangerfield! You remind me of me when I saw him the first time back in the 1970s!
Rodney is my absolute favorite.
Great job with the infectious laughter.
Rodney is the King of one liners
True. But don't forget Henny Youngman: "Take my wife, PLEASE take my wife... I just flew in from the coast. And boy, are my arms tired."
his awesome little comedy club is still running in nyc. only a couple dozen (if that) tables right up close to the stage. it's as authentic of what a comedy club should be that you could ever imagine. dangerfields
I saw a lot of this when it first aired. I love how you got all his jokes right away. Most young reactors miss 50%. And your laughter was real. You made it fun.
OH !! HE WAS QUICK WITH A JOKE & LITE UP YOUR S.OKE😂
You gotta watch his movies... HILARIOUS! "Easy Money" and "Back to School"
Natural Born Killers
I`ve seen these reaction vids and you are the best. Rodney was the best. Saw him in nor-cal, Circle Star in San Carlos.
Got home and my stomach and face hurt from all the laughing. It was amazing how fast those 1 liners were. What a
memory to remember all those jokes.
My favorite Dangerfield joke. I didn't even get any respect as a kid. When I was 3 years old I was playing in the sandbox. The cats jumped in and tried to cover me up.
I had a blast watching this, liked and subscribed
Believe it or not, Rodney didn't do stand-up until his 40s or 50s! When I was a kid, I wrote him a letter (back when people did that) and he sent back a hand-written response!
Just found your channel Shon. Love the respect for the old school sir.
Your reaction is hilarious! It's always fun watching someone have a good time.
So great to see a new generation give respect to the old-timers. Great to see you laugh!
I loved his movie appearances as well.
This guy hit you with so many jokes so fast You don't have time to recover until you're splitting a gut again ...
Rodney Dangerfield was hilarious he was the king of one-liners.
It’s good to see the younger generation enjoying Rodney’s comedy from the 60s and 70s. He was good maybe even great.
One of my faves "she was standing alone on the sidewalk, a cop told her to 'break it up'"
