What a lovely breakaway and shop! 😂Oaklahoma show, yes we all seemed to have done it at school. Thankgoodness we did not have to do a Zulu show and dress! Imagine😂
I love the blue dress! If the zipper is in the back, you could undo the side seams, take a few inches off at the waist in the front and gather as you had planned, then sew the side seams and shorten the back at the hem to match the front. That's if you really want to avoid re-doing the zipper 😊 But if you end up doing the zipper, light weight interfacing going a couple of inches past the end of the zipper really helps getting that zipper in flawlessly. It's amazing.
You found some really cute things in your thrifting adventures! I never think to go thrifting for fabric and I really should give it a try. The lazy river sounds like a lot of fun.
The thrift store was interesting. I have one close to me I need to revisit for the sewing finds. Everything is beautiful; love the red print fabric😊 I love collecting laces and sewing tools.
well, I live in Oklahoma and it's hot as blazes, do no wonder the musical is so dramatic. maybe it's as hot as 36 degrees C. google says that's like 96.8 F. it was 102 degrees F here yesterday. that's HOT!
