At first glance at the thumbnail, I though it was an F1! Just ordered one of these to do speed run stuff with. I know I’m not going to break any records but it’s a cheap platform to play with, especially if you keep it brushed. You’ve done a great job on your build, hope mine turns out as good.

These cheap cars with a couple of mods I've seen go 80mph. These cars are under rated for a cheap car. I've gone into a pole flat out and I was shocked that just the wishbone popped out nothing more. Fantastic rc,s
@@davidmolyneux7284 I agree ! I got an armma senton 3s that is way more expen. it goes but..... bearings, tiers, servo, drive shafts etc gets woren out so quickly... its too expen. Hard to get parts here in IL. . This one is fast, real fun, cheep spare parts... it is a great way to start the hobby :-)

Yes Dan hope you are ok? I’ve just done pretty much a similar build and have run into the same problem with the motor and esc I’ve a little smaller brushless motor but the wires come out the top and I got exactly the same esc. You can get a set of longer posts to mount the body slightly higher there £4 English pounds probably about 5-6dollars off e-bay and mount the esc ont the upper deck at the back by cutting the raised lines off it with a Stanley knife or sharp blade and use a cable tie to attach it. Remove the battery holders and use Velcro to hold down your battery’s 2s or 3s. I’ve used the phat attack body and will be getting it all in and ready in this coming week. I will send you some pics and product numbers just so you can see. It’s late here in Wales 🏴 now and I’m going to bed but I will send em to you or upload them on my channel and let you know when I have. Stay safe my friend goodnight 👍
Hello :-) in the end i used this motor with a tilt in to about 2 o'clock - in this possition, the 3 wires are under the "cabin" and the body is flash like stock. Thanks :-). you can see here > th-cam.com/video/E4Sw55BA9Bk/w-d-xo.html . The esc is out hanging at the back so planty of space is left for a 3s 1500 mah lipo - crazy fast ....

Looks good mate, what top speed have you gotten with this setup? I've managed 58kph on 2s and 83kph on 3s on totally stock ESC and motor it cane with. Mines still brushed at the moment but plan to go brushless soon. I've lowered mine as well
Hello - when i tried 3s , stock motor and esc fried. I only run it with 2s. about 55 kph. I need to find a place with longer strip. I have 2x tenis court to run it so i can not achive more now. Thanks
Why do ppl keep saying they ran this with a 3s stock and nothing happened....just for attention??i have 3 of these and everytime i tried 3s it fried the esc and motor....as well as everyone else i know ....its not possible to run a 3s in this car stock on a brushed motor.....can u post a video of u running 3s in the 144001 stock...🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
3S IS OK for the quickrun 1080 but it will fry the 550 motor .... I'm almost sure.

@@intensivedan cool 😎 I’ve just ordered a new 144001 as the one I’ve got is in a bit of a mess! I put a lot of the metal upgrades on it and it was too much I’ve had mine for 6-12months now and know every mistake I made. I’m buying a new one only changing ing the swingarms to the metal ones and the steering cups as to not put too much strain on the rest of the car. I’ve bought the phat body and foam wheels also the slightly bigger bearing there 2.5mm and prevent your wheel wobble. It’s fast 💨 brushed and you get 30mph brushed easy. Great innotive build Dan great to see and always good to hear fresh ideas 😎🙏👍
@@rcandy5119 Thanks alot !! , Im working on a video to show 2 sets of front wing to my 2 cars. I also tried metal parts but it was too heavy and the fit was poor with a lot of play - poor handeling. the plastic A arms are strong and designed to break as a fuse befor more internal parts (dif) will break. this is a privete ling to show the wing > th-cam.com/video/YX5CBqSVrOA/w-d-xo.html :-) - Hope you the car asap. You know how you go brushless for the 144001. Buy the Tacon Soar. it is already brushless and much better. Just change the plug to deans and program the ESC.

Hi I ippend shox and removed abit of oil to allow full travel I lowered the stance if the A armes with m3 bolts see my video lower stance . this runs quicker as it reduces drag on universal joints

I’ve got the same Phat body on the way so on the hunt for a front wing now but also picked up one from them that looks like a mk1 Escort so will have to decide which way to go with it, or get another 14401! lol Subbed so I can see any more mods you do 👍🏻

what kind of upgrades do you recommand for basic 144001?
Hi, lowering the stance by removing abit of oil from shocks - they arrive too stiff and not allowing for full arm travel. The best fun is drifting this car with some drift tiers. this is a cheep upgrade with tons of fun. see here > th-cam.com/video/lIwvrBaJAXA/w-d-xo.html
