I’ve 2 144001’s and the 2nd one I only got a couple of weeks ago. I’m going brushless with it and have already changed to foams on it and larger bearings they stop the wheel wobble. The motor, servo and esc are in the post and I’m working on the body atm, I’ve gone for the Phat atak body watching all your videos and other people’s is a great help for tips. Keep em coming 😎👍

I’m building one atm and have the foams on and used bigger bearings 7x4x2.5mm I got the tip off @MeHim rc channel there great n a big shout to him 👍 they totally stop the wheel wobble. I’ve greased my diffs done all the camber and toe-ings and have such a smooth roll so far....is it preference on the motor? I’m going brushless but will not reach your immense speeds and a great build by the way 😎 as👍. I need to know the metal spur gear size I need to buy for the drive shaft could you tell me pls?? As I don’t think the stock plastic one will last with a more powerful motor, regards Andy 🙏
This rc car still runs with the stock plastic spur gear until now, plastic spur can last as long as you drive it smoothly. If you want to upgrade to metal spur & pinion , it is 44T/27T please check this link : bit.ly/30q7RN8 . Thanks for watching 👍

I thought I could get away with it as long I’m not going reverse n forward every pull of the trigger it seems quite a good spur for the car? I’ve just took my new one out for it’s 1st taste of tarmac, I’ve found a good 3-400metre rd of it on the estate where I live and it’s a cul de sac 😎🙏 so down to the roundabout and back💪 again, it’s great. I’ve only changed the wheels to foams, greased the diffs, sorted the toe-Ing and rear wheels sticking in by turning the swingarm holders round and installed bigger bearings 7x4x2.5mm and they stop the wheel wobble a big shout out to @MeHim Rc for the tip 🙏 and it runs so smooth and quiet just on brushed!! And it’s still fast 💨 so it’s a decision on the brushless motor and esc now? Any ideas pls? I know the servo I need n I’ve a 4 channel Carson reflex wheel n receiver for it. So any ideas on the motor pls? I’d be grateful of 🙏 I think a 60 amp esc will do I’m just not sure on the motor?? I don’t want a coke can in there just something nice n small with reliability 👍🙏
@@Andym1159 60 amp ESC is good .. and a 3650 size brushless motor is a direct swap to the stock 540 brushed motor, get approx 4000 KV motor and you will be good to run it on 2s or 3s ... check my other videos where i made a comparison of the 3650 brushless motors with different KVs ... but if you want a lighter build you can also use a 2838 size brushless motor

@@RcModwerks23 thankyou I was looking at a 2838 motor as there smaller but then you’ve gotta change the gearing and get the pitch right etc.....I’ve a 144001 that I bought when they 1st came out I put too much metal on it and everytime I took it out something broke!! I’ve learnt from my mistakes and can use this as a donor car now for my new build. The cars are so cheap that you just buy another and you can get a good brushless motor and esc for £25 and the servo for £8 so your coming in at less than £100 pound for a 4x4 wheel drive very fast car. If your into the hobby you will have a receiver n transmitter you swap about so it’s just one investment there as you can put your receiver in whichever car your running that day. @@RcModwerks23 did you take apart and add grease? does any grease work //i also have 90 weight gear oil i wonder if it would work well or leak...i do not have this car yet ,but its on my list...thanks
@@roadstar499 yes, i added a lithiium grease on the diff but not sure if 90w gear oil will be fine

just to help a bit the ESC with ripple voltage
I say that, because I have the quicrun, but this ESC have only 2 cap, and I don't know If I have to buy a pack with more capacitors

Thanks, and this 1/14 scale rc buggy has gone 81 mph using a small 2s lipo on my later videos .. but the top speed is was 99 mph on 3s lipo 🙂
I have watched your video and that was a good speed for 2s lipo on 104002 if you were using stock gearing 👍
I also have a 1/10 scale 104001 and it was able to hit 90 mph on 3s with STOCK spur gears 🙂 ... hope to improve that soon after some upgrades
@@RcModwerks23 yes I’ve gone 86 mph on 3 with stock gears but that the limiting factor I’m converting to mod1 spool and pinion also a mamba esc I’m running over 10000 kv and had an esc fire lol I got that idea for my kv from your 9000 kv motor in your vid thank you for what you do bud you check out my runs on H and w rc racing channel

is that stock pinion? very fast... yes i have seen these do 100 mph pretty crazy for such a small machine... i also think for guys that want to make this car or the other slighty longer one as fast on the street straights as possible... they need to get it low to ground ,good foam tires and a power system like this... and gyro helps control big time... insane speeds are fun to watch...great job!

@@RcModwerks23 yes thats like a full size doing 1400 mph...insane....years ago i had a 1/10 buggy i added brushless to and it hit around 50 and it was insane to deal with..

whats the size of foam tires?
These are 1/10 scale foam tires around 62 mm diameter ... a bit smaller than the stock tires

Pinoy RC Driver Stay away from chinese foam tires, earlier I bought one set but they are very bad quality... better get branded foam tires like Contact, Yokomo, Enetti, etc...
If there is an rc shop close to you, ask them if they have 1/10 foam tires... lately I got a good purchse from my local rc shop for 8 euros per set ... so I bought 6 sets

Can that 7700kv moter take 4s
I am not sure, but personally i will never do it ... Actually that 7700kv motor was only rated for 2S only ... but I ran it on 3S (at my own risk) since it was few seconds only

These are the capacitors that we add to protect the ESC frpom roipple current

Foams add 6mph to a stock brushed 144001 b4 you go brushless if that’s the way your going? And are brilliant for speed runs search “Schumacher contact foams” product number J13773 Foam; 1/10 front 26mm 37sh JAP Carbon And J13774 foam ; 1/10 Rear 30mm 37sh JAP Carbon. Hope you try them? For the front and rear it cones to about £14-15 off E-Bay 👍

@@kukomelaza8237 that is the stock spur gear of 144001 which is similar to A959-B & A979-B ...the A959 I think has 38T since my A949 also has 38T
