@@nobodyinparticular9640 I've fallen off of other Nintendo franchises because I no longer found them challenging/stimulating as I've gotten older and better at gaming. Mainly Kirby and Pokemon (although Kirby and the Forgotten Land at least has some brutal post-game content). I knew Nintendo was going to tone things down a bit for the younger, newer Mario fans after the Mario movie, but unless they start adding some real challenge (at least some challenging post-game content on par with Super Mario World's most annoying levels), Mario could join Pokemon and (mostly) Kirby in the list of Nintendo franchises I can no longer enjoy because they're too easy. As fun as Wonder was, I was disappointed even the Star Levels were a cakewalk compared with previous Mario games up to Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Literally just checked the feed and got this seconds from being uploaded...guess its destiny that I give this one a good watch to know what's up about this game. EDIT: Okay that was actually fun- great to hear that this game isn't falling on the same pitfalls as Balan Wonderworld with how kind of similar the concept sounded, but that emphasis of yours on the creative setpieces, sticking to the presentation style and how there's only 10 transformations seems to show how giving the idea a focused amount of polish really paid off for Peach. And yeah, we sure should get more whimsy but still fun games all around today when people are now open/wishing for experimental ideas like this again.

Am I overextrapolating, or are they making a bunch of references to other games? The turtle feels like Majora's Mask. The eels, and the snails afterwards, feel like Splatoon, with Frye's eels and Super Sea Snails. The disco ball bird feels like a Donkey Kong boss.
Probably a hot take, but you know when Cowboy Peach grabs bottles thanks to her lasso in her transformation ? I think that she should have drank from that bottle she has in her hands at the end of the animation. After all in Super Mario Kart she drinks an entire bottle of wine when she wins. I feel like this would be the kind of little details showing that the creators did their homework about Peach trivia. I mean of course Nintendo wouldn't want to show Peach drinking wine, though as I explained she already did it once so it probably wouldn't be a problem. But just in case, they could simply have a label on the bottle indicating "Grape juice". It would even make sense in this game since the plays have been taken over by Madame *Grape* "It's not wine, it's Grape juice because the villain, Grape, is self-centered and puts this drink that contains her name in this play". But of course the adults would know it's meant to represent wine (the wine/grape juice thing is pretty often used in family friendly media apparently), and the fans of little trivia facts like me would know that it's a callback to Peach in Super Mario Kart.
I really enjoyed it. Had a smile on my face a lot of the time. I do feel it didn't live up to its full potential. I'd have either liked the levels to be longer, or preferably more of them. Intro, continuation, rescue sparkla. And that's it! Costume goes in the bin. I'd have liked an intro, 2 or 3 levels telling an actual story with the conclusion being the rescue mission. I really hope this becomes a franchise. Like Luigis Mansion 1, there's good groundwork that could easily lead to more. Grape is a cool villain design. More interesting than King Boo anyway. I guess my only real complaint is I wish there was more.
Great video Goomba! This game is totally not for me though. Seems like a game you can just watch on TH-cam and still get a similar experience... but Radiant Peach was very cool. She can light up my world anyday (you should've said that!).

Well, I don't know if RPGs are your thing since you don't really cover them, but I bet your videos about them would be tons of fun. Princess Peach Showtime sold very well so I think we will get a sequel. And it looks like Madame Grape survived so I think she will be the main villain in the next game maybe she will become Peach's main Archenemy and a bit what King Boo is to Luigi. but for peach. So the future for Princess Peach is going to be amazing
