I remember my friend and I finding this a little over a year back. Best two hours ever. It actually felt like the game was intentionally awful, and that's why we love it.
I feel like the story behind the developers of the game is more interesting than the game itself. Infact, the reason the game centres around yetis is because the devs are part of the influential parody religion known as the Church of the SubGenius. Followers of the church believe humans are descended from sexy yeits. If you go down the SubGenius rabbit hole, it will lead you to some weird, arty & funny stuff. Paul Reubens, Mark Mothersbaugh, Robert Crumb, David Byrne, Nancy A. Collins, Mojo Nixon, & Half-life voice actor Harry S. Robins are just some of the known members of the church.
Came here from Grumps to see what happens after the yeti gets away on the car. Poor Arin didn’t have a chance. 😂 Great video! Definitely going to check out more of your stuff. Your animations are great!
After the latest videos where they're more like actual reviews of retro but known games, Goomba going through a game no one's heard of while having 0 clue what's happening himself feels like classic LG, I love it
@@TheLonelyGoomba TH-cam is always cursed to show people who just scam kids thanks to some popular Roblox horror game and not give props to the actual deserving people. I also had a suggestion for a video about Toy Story 3 on the DS. I actually had the game and I will always remember that basically HALF the cast was missing and the ones that are missing are only in the cutscenes for whatever reason. I don't know where the game is but I'm not really that sad about it because watching a longplay probably proves it's a one and done game.
@@TheLonelyGoomba I'm gonna be honest, this is probably one of my favorite videos from you. Just the sheer insanity of the game makes the whole video hilarious to watch.
Your channel deservers more views and recognition it criminal how under appreciated it is ever since I discovered it early this year I watched every episode
I'm so glad TH-cam managed to randomly suggest this channel to me! Trying to catch up on the whole Goomba saga AND there's still new shows! Truthfully the most underrated channel relating to near everything I like!!! Thank you Goomba!
So Urban Sasquatch is a terrible low budget movie. And Urban Yeti is a terrible low budget GBA game. I don't care that they are likely entirely unrelated, I am forever assuming they are both sequels to each other
i actually have heard of this game, another youtuber made a video talking about the developers history, their ties to the joke religion "church of the subgenius" and all their other games, but left this one out for another video …a video he hasn't made yet, so even though i've heard of it, i've never played it and know nothing about it edit: just realised i kinda casually dropped that some cultists made this, but yeah, they did. i recommend watching that aforementioned video, it's called "the subgenius cult's lost games" by rebeltaxi for the full story, and a bit of background on the "cult" itself.
Re-watching and commenting to boost the algorithm. Let's make the Yeti happy. Also help Lonely Goomba to not get obliterated just for diversifying his content! You deserve to be able to upload what you want, with your signature and ever improving quality and be able to sustain yourself!!!
Ahh, way too many relatable jokes in this one! From struggling to find anything worth watching on TV (while failing to comprehend how the older relatives who lecture you about gaming could sit in front of the tube all day); to getting scammed by a call girl when all you wanted was a video game; to the fact that you need 30 years of experience to get an entry-level job (130 years once AI becomes more entrenched in the workforce, and no, working on Lackadaisy, Monkey Wrench or any other viral indie animated hit isn't sufficient proof that you can be trusted to sweep Disney's floors); to getting abducted and mugged by a UFO and dealing with the emotional duress by whacking off to a picture of a woman that is not attractive or even healthy by any stretch of the imagination! This was a particularly good episode.
I remember watching you when I was 6-7. I’m now 16 going on 17. You being a main part of my childhood shaped me into the young man I am today. Glad you still post
Was that an actual “Nintendo Seal of Approval” on the back of that box?! That screams lie to me because I just can’t imagine anyone from Nintendo approving of this game from the quality alone, let alone the story.
So a Yeti is just running around a city and no one in the city finds it strange or is trying to hunt him down? Maybe he's not a yeti, maybe he's just some dude with Hypertrichosis.
This quality of animation, writing, and editing is incredible as always, even if the game itself isn’t. I just watched a 17 minute video about a game I’ve never heard or cared about but I enjoyed every bit of it😂
Dang I haven't seen this guy in super long time and the way he drew the goomba looks different. Also perfect timing to run across this video because I just yesterday bought a copy of a comic book and the front cover had a yeti on it well a regular colored humanoid ape thing which strangely this is a regular colored as well so not a yeti either.
When you said "I ran out of games to play", I was like - But WhAt ABoUt Shark Tale for the GBA?! I'm kidding, of course. Just recently visited this game from childhood, especially for one mini-game.
This game was always a curiosity to me. I saw ads for it in a magazine and every time I'd try and play it, I'd get my ass kicked. That is a tough. Fucking. Broken game. I can't believe you've done this.
Another absolute banger episode Goomba! I'm completely baffled to why your vids don't get more views, your gaming content is pure gold and quality! Don't give up buddy, your motivation to your uploads will pay out in the long run! best wishes from a fan since your "Elmo in Grouchland" video lol! 👍
This game is awful to play, but it's such a crazy experience lmao, the devs were having the time of their life with it i imagine I only got to know about this game because i was looking for the composer (Randy Wilson) other works, since I am most familiar with his work on Spider-Man 1 and 2 GBA games (the ones based on the movies, I like the first game a lot!) He also did music for Tom and Jerry and the Magic Ring GBA (very awful beat em up)
Lonely Goomba has all these useful accessories but I question how he gets batteries for his gba. I actually used to have rechargeable batteries so I guess that explains it
Well, you certainly weren't kidding with the title. I've definitely never heard of this game before. But it certainly looks weird as heck. It doesn't look like something I would play, though. Speaking of things I've never heard of, I've never heard of the Gameboy TV Tuner before. Did it actually work?

When I was a kid, I found a GBA cartridge on the ground near a sidewalk. The cart had the cover scratched off so we didn't know what the game was. When I put it in my DS, that's when I was introduced to Urban Yeti 😢

is it just me or did the animation look really good this episode?
totally man
It did
Oh my god you're right
300th like and yeah it does seem kinda clean
He’s right; I never heard of it.
Take my like..
Me neither
Oh no, i remember hearing bad things about you
I’ve heard of it but it was in the context of a streamer playing obscure terrible GBA games that viewers sent him. Outside of that, nothing.
What does it sound like?
The animation subtlety gets better and smoother every time
And it's URBAN YETI that gave it to us.
Seriously, the animation is probably the best it’s ever been this episode. That phone call part was just real nice to look at.
Thanks. I’ve been focusing on trying to improve with my animation and I think I’m getting to the point I’m really happy with it
Omg it's cossblips
I remember my friend and I finding this a little over a year back. Best two hours ever. It actually felt like the game was intentionally awful, and that's why we love it.
Lol especially the sewer music
The thumbnail art for this video is better than the entire game

MOJO GOD DAMN NIXON?!

Oh boy Goomba’s gonna talk about a cult’s classic!
Not a cult classic, but a classic made by a satirical cult!
I played this as a kid, I never got past the first segment and just played it like a 9-year old would play GTA.
Man, who needs the history channel to learn about aliens when Goomba keeps getting abducted.

Yeah haha. I watched the video too and I doubt there will be a part 2 cos its too cryptic how to progress. Also thank ye
I had no idea this existed and I feel like I'm worse off knowing it does.
Remember, kids: “Urban Yeti beats two-person push-ups a hundred times out of a hundred.”
Since Goomba has a TV Tuner for the GBA i wouldn't mind seeing an episode where Goomba looks at Game Commercials.
Okay okay Goomba, I finally watched it
The running joke of no one watching the urban yeti video made me watch it. Well played goomba

I cannot believe an "As seen on TV" officially licensed GBA game is a thing.
This game having those cutscene models looking like old 3D "naughty" stuff.
A rabbit hole is an understatement for this game
I'm very excited about this one!! I appreciate all of the work you put into them!
Love the spritework on this one!
also it feels like the animation has taken a huge step up, wow!
Back to the underrated games that nobody else would talk about.
Indeed. The TH-cam algorithm will probably bury it though because of that. But eh, was a good video so I'm happy with it

This review is a higher quality than the actual game. Great stuff
The argument at the urban yeti offices deciding which game to clone must have been legendary.
Oh this one is going to be solid gold, I can already tell! I love when Goomba looks at the stranger or lesser known games :)

A lonely goomba upload is always a good upload
If i discovered this game as a kid, I'd probably be too scared to finish it
Especially with that music, holy shit 6:42
I remember seeing a speedrun of this at AGDQ. Every time the green yeti appears on screen, everyone goes AHHHHHHHHHHH!
I’ve only seen this game as part of a GDQ, I thought it might of been a 2am fever dream… apparently not!
I still remember the audience's screams of terror every time that green yeti face popped up.
And the trombone disaster.
@@VonFirflirch the trombone disaster?

It's what someone at that GDQ called the sewer "level"'s """"""""music"""""""".
@@VonFirflirch makes sense
That final female yeti picture reminds me of that Donna Noble thing in that Dr. Who library, but then surrounded by fur.
I remember seeing someone speedrunning it at GDQ, someone called the music in the sewer level "Trombone Disaster" which it makes sense.
I remember watching you when I was 6-7. I’m now 16 going on 17. You being a main part of my childhood shaped me into the young man I am today. Glad you still post
I saw that commercial for this game years ago, and it was the most ridiculous thing ever.
