India's manufacturing industry is one of the largest in the world, contributing almost 17% to the country's GDP. By 2030 India will have a capability to export $1 Trillion worth of goods every year.

India's manufacturing sector is only one-tenth of China's. with 1.4 billion people. It is not as good as South Korea with a population of 50 million. What is there to boast about winning by population? It's "will" and "will" again. India, which "will" become a superpower in 2020, is now changed to 2030. Daydreaming every day.

Exporting USD 1 trillion of goods in 2030? You probably smoking a good weed there😂.
What are you going to export then? Your smartphone and electronic brands, your car brands, your IT hardware products brands, your food products are not even wanted by global population😅😅

India's trade with China last year was $118.8 billion. So, China was the top 1 trade partner of India, but $118 billion was only 3.1% of China's $3.7 trillion export! Why has India always liked to compare itself with China?!! The two countries are in completely different level. India has nothing to compare with China whatsoever except population. Stop all this nonsense now!!

I saw Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Jakarta, Manilla, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala lumpur, Phnom Penh, Vientiane, Ho Chi Minh city, Yangon. Taipei etc. Their footpaths are wide and low in height with grey marvel or rock or stone or tiles whatever. Their road dividers are lower in height and full of greeneries and tree plantations. Modern design of street lights and traffic lights. Lots of gardens, landscapes and quite flat pavements. No political parties posters. Litter-bins are everywhere. People use subways, footbridges and sky walk for walking purpose. No red paint or stain of beetle leaf beetle nuts juices or any tobacco products. No trash on roads or streets or lanes or gardens. No leaflet or posters sticked on any building. Not much noisy. No unnecessary honking. Low air and sound pollution. Mostly dividers are painted either black and white or a few are red and white not much black and yellow stripes. Which makes those cities look like a beautiful world-class international city. Which is clean and green.
And these things are missing in Indian metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat, Kochi, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Patna, Agra, Kanpur, Bhopal, Indore, Bhuveneswar, Nagpur, Guwahati, Greater Noida, Navi Mumbai, Dholera, Gift city, Vizag etc. No matter how much infrastructure Indian government develops Indian metro cities will never look like a world-class international city.
A country does not develop just by building tall skyscrapers. It depends on many things. Thats why India metro cities are far behind South East and East Asian cities and other Western European, North American, and Oceanian cities.

There is no need to panic for a race that is already over and the winner is already announced. Smarter countries are identifying what the next race is going to be, and preparing for it. There is manufacturing overcapacity in the world, which is on the verge of population stabilization/decline.
India can still be a participant in the next race if it prioritizes right. The next race is not about manufacturing.

A lot of people think that India should focus on services led growth while I believe that manufacturing is equally important if not more important than the services industry .... So I do think India needs more manufacturing as it will employ more people .... The three areas to focus on in the next few years should be on Agriculture , Manufacturing and Services .... Also I believe that the MSMEs are the backbone of this country and should be focussed more on by this govt. they have been really struggling lately ! .... 🇮🇳 ....

When companies began to flock china , their infrastructure wasn't that good as it is now. A perfect infrastructure isn't necessary for attracting investments. It's the climate. The climate for investment which enhances the trust and faith of investors in an economy determines a lotta things. Investor's confidence rises when they believe that their investment will be worth something.
In a country like ours, without greasing the palms of several officials, one cannot even build a small business let alone and MNC. Corruption malpractices are the reason why political climate is always charged here, there's religious turmoil, sub par infrastructure and zero redressal mechanism for a common man/business should things go south.
There are other environmental clearances and stuff which further delay and exhaust investor's confidence. It might look like a secondary factor influencing investments, but a closer look into it reveals that it's not.
We need a complete overhaul of almost everything.
I am actually hopeful for our country's future but I'm genuinely sad man!
