Insightful. Appreciate the effort put in to create the content. In comments, we should discuss on options to address the issue. My take: Option #1 - Government may favour certain business houses but there should be a mechanism to control the upper limit of Airport charges. It should be mentioned in the bidding process as well. Option# 2 - Bring back the rule to not offer multiple airports to same company. Option# 3 - what happens if in future Adani launches Airline? Their should be rules in place to prevent any takeover of the Airport by Airline company. Option#4 - Look at international airports, most of them offer pretty basic features. Its an Airport not a shopping mall or luxury hotel. There should be a cap towards the number of stores and a control over the type of stores inside it. Lastly, I would say that this is an opportunity for the government to focus on domestic rail travel and grow it. If people get satisfactory service, their is no reason to fly.

Insightful. Appreciate the effort put in to create the content. In comments, we should discuss on options to address the issue. My take:
Option #1 - Government may favour certain business houses but there should be a mechanism to control the upper limit of Airport charges. It should be mentioned in the bidding process as well.
Option# 2 - Bring back the rule to not offer multiple airports to same company.
Option# 3 - what happens if in future Adani launches Airline? Their should be rules in place to prevent any takeover of the Airport by Airline company.
Option#4 - Look at international airports, most of them offer pretty basic features. Its an Airport not a shopping mall or luxury hotel. There should be a cap towards the number of stores and a control over the type of stores inside it.
Lastly, I would say that this is an opportunity for the government to focus on domestic rail travel and grow it. If people get satisfactory service, their is no reason to fly.

This mudi adani nexus has been looting Indian tax payers’ money since day 1, not just in airport but even in powerplant (6050MW powerplant, which was initially made for NTPC, was gifted to Adani for free), coal (India imports 70% coal for domestic consumption and Coal India Ltd does the job but now since Adani mudi nexus, more than 80% coal India buys from Adani coal and that too at 160% higher price rate), 3.14lakh crore loan given to Adani with some loans without collateral and some with his overvalued non profit making company shares as collateral which is dangerous to turn into NPA and from 3.14L crore loans 1lakh crore has been already waived off whereas farmers are committing suicide for not able to pay even ₹10,000 loans, all the profit making airports given to Adani for free with more airports to gift adani (matlab zameen public aur kisano ki hogi jo ki forcefully liya gaya kam damo pe, tax payers ke paise se airports banaya gaya aur saare ke saare free mein gift diya gaya adani ko with a lot of changes in rules just to favour thief adani), ₹45,000 crore k duniya ke sabse bare solar powerplant which was initially made for NTPC has been gifted to Adani for free, more than 80% ports gifted to adani (domestically and internationally) which were initially made for Indian PSU Shipping Co. ltd and some of the lands for ports were sold to adani at a price of fcuking ₹1 per acre etc etc etc. Adani monopoly not just in airport but in ports, powerplant electricity, solar energy, coal and in return all that Adani will do is increase the prices of all of these which are basic much needed necessities in daily life for a common man and make the life of common man more tough.
