I’ve knit and crocheted for 65 years and have never used one of those rings. You are really outfitting yourself well.. I have one of those wirea tablet holder as I kept falling asleep and dropping my tablet on the floor. It is my favourite purchase ever from Temu and I’ve spent thousands over the past year

To thread the needle, wrap yarn around the eye of needle, pinch the yarn around and pull off needle, keeping the yarn between fingers, push pinched yarn thru needle. Instead of trying to put end thru eye. Hope that helps!
