This is very interesting. There are a lot of people who decided to boycott Temu because of the chinese work conditions. Hypocrisay to the maximum, these same people don't have any problem to buy the same things from Amazon, and obviously the items come from the same factory!

@@JordanBudgetsyes, I am concerned about work conditions-human rights but I fear a lot of things on Amazon and Etsy are coming from the exact same place as my Temu items so until it becomes easier to determine the work conditions of the makers, etc I will choose to pay less and save my money. Then I can splurge on some noncorporate made items at the farmers market or Etsy.

If anyone is looking for duvet covers shop temu, ive spent up to 300.00 on duvet covers from bed and bath and the ones i ordered from temu for 40.00 is better quality zippers and every one had the corner ties so the duvet dont shift. Im hooked on temu.

I didn't know Temu until last week I bought $120 worth of stuff and waiting for it to come. I am glad I came across this channel. I was a loyal fan to Amazon, but with all the higher prices on everything we are still buying from China might as well save money somewhere
The silicone baking mats are easy! After use, just clean with dish soap like anything else and let dry. I lay them flat to store, so they keep the best shape. Love them! Just make sure you know what temp they are safe to use at. Also, they can be used for chocolate/candy making too.

A little trick my Mom taught me when I was younger and couldn’t open a jar lid. Take the thicker end of a butter knife and hit the lid on like 3 different sides and it will open. It’s never failed me yet. There are also rubber grippers that are round and you can get enough grip on the lid to get it open.

I use to do that as my ex-husband taught me that trick. My Mum saw me do it one day, horrified, and told me to stop. (No, that isn't why I divorced the ex-husband). She said that the knife dented the lid and would compromise the lid having an airtight seal for storing the unused portion. So...I went back to using a bit of hot water and muscle. But I had thought that maybe for pickles it would be fine since the brine of the pickle sauce is a preservative anyway. 😄I am right-handed and I think that bicep is slightly larger from opening jars.
If I had been a kid, I might have given it a whirl as a science fair project by seeing if a muscled open jar or a knife opened jar had any difference in their identical products going...I dunno, moldy or something.

I would always run it under water, but I also have one of those grippers if I'm struggling to open a jar.
Just turn the jar upside down and tap the lid on a solid surface 3 times and bingo.
It's something sticky like a jar of jam then just run some boiled water over it to heat up the sugar before trying to open.

The baking mats are great for placing at the bottom of your oven to catch all the spills or drips from cooking. The 2nd one I placed under my burners; if you lift up the top of your stove, there is a place for the mats.

Thank you for this! I couldn’t finish the last video I was watching about Temu, the creator was complaining about how they use our roads to ship to us. I am pretty sure they pay to ship plus my taxes help the post office already. How is it different than the dollar tree, Walmart, Apple Store? The customer is paying the taxes either way.
Most of time,TEMU and Amazon source their products from different factories, but sometimes they may come from the same factory. However, understanding how factories operate helps us realize that you often get what you pay for, and lower prices often indicate lower quality. From what I know, many factories have different production lines for producing products of varying quality. The higher-quality ones are sold on Amazon, while the lower-quality ones are sold on TEMU. Taking the inspection process as an example, products sold on Amazon may go through three inspection stages to ensure product quality. However, if the goods are sold on TEMU, the quality control process might be skipped altogether.
Here's another example: for the same insulated tumbler, I know that both Yeti and Stanley offer higher purchasing prices to factories because they have strict requirements, such as prohibiting forced overtime and ensuring workers' health and human rights. On the other hand, TEMU tends to exert pressure on suppliers to lower prices, which may lead to suppliers pressuring their employees with low wages and long working hours. TEMU's parent company in China is called PDD, and I've asked Chinese friends about it. They mentioned that they usually only buy very cheap items on PDD. For slightly more expensive items, most people prefer to shop on JD , a Chinese website similar to Amazon that has its own logistics system and provides fast delivery. Additionally, many products on TEMU are counterfeit and infringe upon intellectual property rights. It is a platform that lacks respect for intellectual property
Thanks for your thoughtful and informative reply. Way back in the day I used to work for a lithographic company and that's where I learned that most of the 'lower' quality brand products were actually made by the 'higher' priced and branded companies. We made and shipped the labels, that's how I found out. It makes sense, someone's got to produce the products, right? And if Betty Crocker or Starkist are already making products, then there is no additional cost for equipment, other than to run it. That doesn't necessarily mean that the quality control or even the contents are the same, but it did give me enough confidence to go ahead and use the lesser priced items as a single mom raising my kiddo.

I feel like what we are paying for is faster shipping. I've compared items too and the only difference I see is faster shipping aside from packaging, which means nothing to me as long as things arrive safely. I'm patient and I'll stick with Temu for sure! Thanks for the great video.

@@cadeem88 Usually they do and the very few that have come late, they put a $5 credit on your account and I've used that just fine the couple times it's happened and it's only been like a day late. Expect shipping to be around 10 days from payment of your order, that's usually what I get.
@@cadeem88My orders from Temu have been arriving 7 days from ordering. One of those packages was on the 8th day. But on their website. You should received the package within 10 days. If you get it 11th day or beyond. You'll get $5 store credit on your next order.
Great and informative video, thanks. By the way, I'm old with arthritic fingers and hands but never have problems opening jars. Just tap them lid side down on the floor and they pop right open so easily. The only jar it doesn't work for is beef extract (Bovril etc). You just need to run the lid of them under hot water if they get stuck. Hope this helps some people x

Tip to open the jar is to run it under cold water then tap the sides and top of the lid, right off.

I had an earring post break off of an earring. I contacted them, sent some pictures and they refunded my money. I even got to keep the broken product. No returning the physical item. Another time I ordered a blouse. It was supposed to be a jacket with a cute blouse under it , NOT! It was a jacket only . No pretty little blouse. Again sent pictures and money refunded! AND I got to keep it to do with whatever I wanted. Very happy with return policy,prices and quality.

So the baking mats are great and sturdy I literally throw mine in the dishwasher and keep them with my cookie sheets just don't use knifes on them one of mine has a slice in the middle but doesn't affect it really. You don't need to grease them for cookies and what not they're super nifty

I have 2 thoughts on Temu:
1) Many of there products are closeouts and overstocks. Once it sells out, that's it. You can't go back for seconds of the same thing. (W-M operates like this.) Then they fill in with some standard, reorderable stock on other products. This is how they can offer such low prices (for now).
2) Temu is a start-up company. So, for the moment, they are offering attractive pricing. However, once they edge out the competition, we will see these bargain prices disappear. It has begun already. They show you a picture of something desirable at an eye-popping price. Then, when you open that file, you will see several options (size, color, number). The picture they show you is the 280 count, say of colored pencils, but there is a 12 count pack, a 36, 48, 72, 120, 180, and 280 count. The awesome price is not for the 280, it's for the 12 count pack. The 280 when you select it goes for over 100 US dollars. A far cry from the 6.48 price quoted. 😮
Temu act like chinese trader do it all the time in their country. I don't have the app and I don't want it because otherwise they send so many mails, games and offers.
You don't get allways the same product but I'm sure you will find a similar alternative.
The silicone baking mats are super easy to clean. I store mine rolled up with my rolling pin
The baking pads you just wash after use and let air dry. I store mine in my classroom flat in a drawer bc my kitchens have so many I have room to do that but at home where I have less space I just have clips attached to my cabinet door and I hang them there to store.

Thank you so very much for posting this video. Because I am trying to get away from Amazon because of their prices. And also I am on a very low budget and I do have a Prime account but it's basically useless because what I was using it for which was to buy groceries without having to pay for shipping. They now say You must have at least $150 minimum before you can get free shipping. And I like to order some other things that are not food items but as you said they're very expensive on Amazon. Baking mats if like pampered chef mats have ground glass in them and not supposed to lay anything on top of it, can loosely roll up. Hand wash too.

I have ordered 7 times and confused how no one notices that there is a difference in quality? Temu has some very low quality items and the returns aren't easy at all, just shop carefully.
I just bit little cheap craft, garden or kitchen items. Don't expect much and have been happy at least 75%of the time. I processed a couple returns and they just refunded my money
I’ve ordered lots of stuff from them and must admit I’m overwhelmed with my stuff 99% of the time. Can’t understand how you found returns weren’t easy as I’ve always found them so so easy. If it’s 1 item or small ticket item they usually just refund you the money but if you do have to return it you just print out returns label and take to your local post office (at least here in UK that’s how it’s done)
Returns have always been easy for me, same process as Amazon. Sometimes they don't even ask for it back. As for quality? I order a LOT. And rarely send anything back. As in, maybe twice in 2 years. So you do you, but I'll be over here quite happy saving money.
I bought two dresses from temu, on the models as advertised they looked incredible, when they arrived they were both made from polyester, and I put them on and they both clung to my legs......they are now sulking at the charity shop.

I use both, most of the products are probably from the same factories, so whichever is cheapest I use which. I don’t mind about deliver time, so Amazon prime don’t attract to me. In fact I use temu more because of this.

Silicone baking sheet is great for crafting. Protects work surface and glue, paint, etc, wipes right off. Way less expensive than the craft mat for same purpose
Silicone mats: just wipe clean, use soap if needed. Dry with cloth and roll up to store. I’ve had mine for over20 yeas

When considering a product on Temu I always check the customer reviews. If a LOT of them say 'its cheap (Chinese) junk' I ask myself if I can deal with cheap for the item or keep looking. I see a some of '5 stars' with no comment but a lot more of the '1' and '2' have nothing to say and discount those. I buy a lot of stuff on Temu but try to rein in my compulsion for plastic gadgets and 'neat-O' novelties.

Hey . On my third order now ... Some are very nice and you need to really read the info regarding sizing , but not everyone are great quality 😅
Most of the clothes are very nice. Got dresses, tops, capris, and their shoes are really nice. Dress shoes are so pretty and made well.
Some things are cheaper made than others. Make sure you look at ALL the pictures so you see what you are getting. The first two pics are usually from a catalogue, then you see THEIR item made to "look" like it. I've only had two things I didn't care for. Customer service helped right away and were accomodating. I did buy one pair of slip on shoes that were athletic, the bottom of shoe did smell.
Some pics are exactly the same all through the pics, then you know that it is usually the same exact item, and I like finding those. Also, know your measurements. Once you hit on a size, measurements come up. Go by those and you won't go wrong. Also, scroll down and see if anyone bought the item in the reviews. Some show the item on, and some show pics of item. That can tell you alot.

I have a passport holder that I got a couple of years ago from Amazon. It is a nice weight and made from "faux leather." I recently bought 2 more from Temu for some clients. They were half the price of Amazon, but they were flimsier (is that a word). My clients are happy with them, but they are not the same. Still for the price, I think it's worth it.
Temu has a lot of different styles of passport holders. I've bought 3 different ones, one quite thick.

Amazon does the multiple quantities a lot. You can't buy one potato peeler for $1.98. You have to buy 4 for $8.63.
I bought something on Amazon and when it arrived the packaging said Temu and I paid twice as much on Amazon.
I got the forehead thermometer from Amazon about a year ago. It broke because my youngest got a hold of it. I ordered one from temu for the fraction of the price and it didn't work at all. The is the only thing that didn't work for me from Temu. Everything else I love.
I've seen videos of people taking apart those thermometers from Temu and saw the "laser" was fake and/or not even wired to the motherboard. (There might not even be any laser at all!) The screen would always display a pre-programed "normal temperature" number after showing some brief random numbers in order to appear as if it's actually reading the temperature.
Super sketchy (and super duper dangerous) especially if used to monitor a sick baby or young child.
unless you are counting those amazon items as a business write off the extras you don't need like the $10 jar openers I would just sent back.
Temu's prices are good (most of the time) but I still use Amazon more based on the shipping speed, Unless its something I don't need for a while, I'd rather pay a couple extra dollars to get my items in 2 days or less vs the 7-14 days Temu usually takes
Understandable! TEMU does take about 10 days to get to me and Amazon is a little quicker.

Temu is good for class room tools and posters , flash cards .
the only time i use amazon now is if i want to get something from a specific brand. ie; specific art supplies, kidde fire alarm, books, etc. otherwise, i get it from temu.
I tried Temu after seeing the Super Bowl ads and while my order did arrive quickly, there were problems with both items I bought. I ordered a 3 pc. bath mat set and they sent the wrong one (the one I ordered had 3 mats for the floor - but the one sent had a cushion for the toilet seat and only 2 floor mats). I also ordered a modern spiral table lamp, but the one they sent was only "similar" to the one in the photo in the Temu listing. While there was no actual statement of the height of the lamp, it was VERY obvious that the one I received was about 1/2 the height of the one in the listing photo, and just was not as attractive being so squat. However, on the bright side, when I clicked on the "contact Temu customer service" link, I was able to describe my problems and following the prompts online was issued a full refund for these 2 items. So my trial of Temu showed me that the products are not as they might seem, but I was not ripped off by Temu.
SO many items people buy bulk on Temu and resell on Amazon. People like to pretend it's so different.
Ok most are cheaper on Temu, but Amazon ones are better packed and they look nicer ;) ... I would choose Amazon if I needed to buy something to gift away and Temu for personal use :)
