Renewing the brake lines and caliper upgrade on my TD5 90 made a huge difference to the braking performance - there is firm bite from the top of the pedal travel but still enough travel to allow you to modulate (important if you do not have ABS ). It is now less of an adjustment jumping out of my Golf daily and into the 90 - I can actually feel some stopping power!
Which part of the UK are you in? Looks amazing. I have a 300tdi defender as well so I'm enjoying watching your videos for some inspiration. Thanks mate.
I’ve recently fitted LOF performance brake kit to my 14 MY, 90, one note is I refitted the original hub nut washer and C clip as the ones supplied were very poor quality, so hopefully the pads and discs are not too 🥴
… they’ve given you a TD5 onwards kit. Ben must have procured the bearing spacer for the single nut type. Shame you didn’t you get new brake disc bolts in the kit. Torque settings? You guys living the best life. 😂 Hope to see you guys soon. 🙏🏽
Oh Hi Miles. Always nice to hear what your brain thinks of things 😁 Yes well done, good spot, it had been that long, I had forgotten about that! Hope you’re well
@@BorisTheDefender no, the axle housing, where the differential (chunk, pumpkin, 3rd Member) sits with the ring and pinion. Salisbury maybe (I haven’t seen one before).
Think your rotors are backwards (Left on Right and right on left). All but one manufacturer I've installed for customers recommended them going the other direction. Just a heads up for next time. Cheers

A good upgrade to do! I love LoF products we've got a few installs coming up this year 🙌
I like you home garage. Every time I see it in your videos I wish that Boris would fit into it. Nice video!
put a tiny amount copper grease on the back of your pads, tends to help with the squeal.
Thanks. I actually used some specific brake grease on then. Must have forgotten to mention.
Enjoyable video, as a relatively new custodian of a '99 Defender 90 it provides some useful insights!
Glad you enjoyed it!
For squealing rear disc brakes on a Defender 90, the only pads that I have found do not squeal are Ferodo ones
Good insight thank you!

Thank you very much! I’m in Devon.

Oh I hope so too. I’ve heard mixed reviews!
7:28 what grease did you use please.
What kind of big sizes did you need for this install because I just got my lof brake kit and I want to prep before I go ahead with the install
Size of what sorry?

Hey mate, are you running stock Rover axle housings?
Yes I am 👍
You don’t mean the flanges do you?

What led headlights are you using on boss the defender jack
Did these fit with the standard callipers ?
Yeah they did

Yeah I know that now unfortunately. Cheers for spotting it.
What are the rotors please?
