I just test drove the 2018 s1000rr and man what a motorcycle! Loved the power at all rpms and felt super light. I have a 2017 ZX10r right now and they’re completely different lol. I talked to the sales guy after but decided not to do it but felt in love with the s1000rr for real

Said fuck it and put a deposit down on a new s1000rr and bought mods so I couldn’t change my mind cause I wanted both so badly. I think I made the right choice cause this bike is the best of both worlds. Fast and calm. Almost perfect for me but one of my friends is gonna let me ride his new r1 in a month and we’ll see what’s up lol

I was thinking the same thing but deep inside o think the touring bikes are the job for that simply because they are built for it and plus you can go off road with it. Where I travel theres alot of dirt roads where I wouldn't dream of riding a sports bike on
People like to sum up anything that isn’t a Japanese bike as a high maintenance, hi cost item.... but in reality, they don’t really cost any more than a Japanese bike to service. Japanese bikes have readily available parts where as you might have to special order BMW parts since I doubt alot of service dealers keep a large stock of BMW parts on hand.

this bike and the new zx10r are about the same comfort am 6"4 . I have both on my garage. but feel more comfortable on my Zx10r for some reason .
I'm 6'5 and the r1 work for me. S1000 is so expensive 😥.
