    I got 2021 mine reads dynamic is that what your calling slick mode? I still have not figured the feel of all the modes. My joint won't catch neutral unless I am breaking is that a wrong mode thing? Salesperson said I don't need to clutch while shifting I was rocking like that in a mode in different mode I couldn't float gears like that.. are there more detailed ways to whip in specific modes on the net or do just slow flow until I get right?

    • @MADLITS1K
      @MADLITS1K  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gen 3 15-18 models and gen 4 19/20 + have different riding modes, I don’t know anything about the newer models modes.
      You can check this video on the modes that a friend uploaded 👇
      th-cam.com/video/9x1AsghZ6S8/w-d-xo.html
      Your bike should go into neutral regardless of the mode you’re in, it’s usually always easier to slip into neutral as you’re rolling to a stop vs standing still.
      You shouldn’t be “floating gears” really, I mean you can but the bike has a quick shifter and auto blip feature that eliminates you having to do that, explained here 👇

    Yep im normally in sport 99% of the time, race mode on track days, allows power wheelies lifts the wheel about 10 or so cm, will power wheelie up to 4th gear which is pretty impressive!
    Now for the friendly nag - dude wear the gear, I'm 55 never not owned a sports bike, I've crashed my fair share of times, never been injured, head ons, rear ended, side ons, low sided, visited a beach after flipping my 91 gsxr 750. Wear the gear!!

    The new s1000rr is my dream bike. Im getting close to being able to afford it and I feel like im responsible enough to finally ride it. I had a Yamaha R3 in college and miss riding so much. Do you think this is too much for someone like me to handle (as in someone who has only riden a 300cc bike)? I know thats kind of a loaded question since its a liter bike, but its my absolute dream and im so ready to get one.

      Yeah you should be able to handle it, all bikes are relatively the same, the power is the difference, it’ll just be extremely fast and you can end up in really sticky situations very easily…I’d say go for it if you can, it’s a hell of an experience owning a bike like the s1000rr

    • @MADLITS1K

      Rain, sport, race and than after break in miles you get a red plug and can access user and slick. My bikes old though, if you’re looking at older S1k’s they should have all modes accessed already. Unless you find a S1k with less than 600 miles lol

    Can the sport mode up your front wheel?

    • @Willjrockstar
      @Willjrockstar ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, though he is somewhat incorrect in his understanding of the modes. For instance sport mode, while he is correct in saying full power is available, the throttle response is limited, so full torque is not available. Depending on the year and package on the bike, these settings can vary. Easiest descript i can give you in your terms - Rain: front wheel wont come up, and rear wont spin. Sport: Front wheel comes up, rear wont spin (program dependent-DTC/wheelie control/ABS can be shut off) Race: Same as sport with full throttle response, Slick: full power, no abs, no DTC.

      @@Daot888 Go with race, ABS on, DTC on. Slick mode is for the race track. That mode *may not* support ABS and DTC which both make you safer on the street.....With DTC on, rear wheel wont spin and front wheel wont come up. It WILL come up but DTC sets it right back down. I always leave DTC on until the tires warm up. DTC off to wheelie.
