      Cool! Ever since I've adopted these methods, my animation experience has been improving, getting a lot faster, and it's definitely a Lot more Fun!!! :)

    I appreciate your positive attitude about using D/S for animation :-)

      Thanks! It's hard to find positive enthusiasm about that subject. Coming from Carrara, I always knew that Studio was Not animation friendly. Linday came out with that hair, so I had to figure something out. Oh My!!! Daz Studio went from being Im-Freaking-Possible to animate in, to: I can't stop animating in Daz Studio!!!
      So I really needed to get my story out there. People need to know this.
      Philip Staiger of Project Dogwaffle got me in touch with Paul Bussey of Digital Art Live, and he made it possible. It's all me, but nothing like the wonky tutorials I've done for TH-cam in the past. Paul really helped guide me to making a really nice course. I'm proud of it.
      But I still can't stop animating in Daz Studio!!! LOL

      Hi "Dad". What do you think about the interaction between Daz and Unreal Engine? Ciao, Max.

      @@maxturlad9127 Of course you know the answer is "Star Wars - The Clone Wars"!!! Okay... it's been a while. Had to do that! :)
      I thought about that when I started this whole idea of actually venturing away from Carrara for a bit. A couple of things wrecked the whole idea:
      1) Every example I saw was a WASD experience. While I know we can do much more, I'm not that enthusiastic about having to code all of my animations and such.
      2) The hair that drove me into all of this wouldn't work, which was the Only reason I explored beyond Carrara.
      I'll probably explore it some day. Right now all of whatever free time I can find goes into what I'm doing here - animating in Daz Studio. It's kind of like playing Cyberpunk: once I start playing, I can't seem to stop. Well... animating even drags me away from Cyberpunk!!! So I decided to animate in a Cyber City! :)
      Hey, did you watch Blade Runner - Black Lotus? I saw it, bought it, and I'm still watching it over and over again - waiting anxiously for Fall so I can buy Season 2!!!

    Hey! I bought this course! It's incredible! I'm having difficulty understanding how to place the collider (cone) in the scene to control the hair and the hand, because it doesn't appear on the panel. Can you help me?

    • @Dartanbeck

      What do you mean by "panel"? Do you mean the timeline area? If so, right-click in there and select "Refresh". Happens to me too.

      @@Dartanbeck I am a beginner. It was about creating a primitive tool (cone) and interacting with the hair (part 1-3 of the guide). I'm studying and little by little I'm understanding. Thanks!

      Well, I find it pretty doable to get these things working on most Daz Figures. Here's Rosie:

    Does this cover Gen 8 and 9 controls in any capacity? Like will your custom dials work with those as well? I use Gen 3 to death but I was curious.

    • @Dartanbeck
      @Dartanbeck  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Absolutely. That was the big reason to do this course rather than offer the dials - we make whatever control dials we want for literally Any figure that can load into Daz Studio as a figure - no matter the generation.
      I love how simple it is to make the tools, and what it does for posing and animating the figure afterwards is true magic. Headaches-Be-Gone, I should have called it! :)

      Go to where the Install Manager installs your content (default is My Daz 3D Library) and it's in the "General" folder: The Complete Guide to Animating Dynamic Characters in Daz Studio.
      It's sold here:

    tutorial render faster..?????

    • @Dartanbeck
      @Dartanbeck  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a course that introduces a more natural, efficient and (yes) fun way to animate characters in Daz Studio.
      Part 1 is more of a lecture, so-to-speak, showing how I use what we learn in Part 2, which contains tutorials.
      In the "Animators Base Scene" tutorial I do share how I get my render times down to roughly one minute per frame for Rosie 7. Those same settings will render my background characters in about 30 seconds or less - sometimes three frames in less than a minute.
      The quality comparison would be any of my animation videos you see from this year.
      So the method to animate got MUCH faster for me, because it's less cumbersome. Creating this workflow had the accidental side effect of keeping me out of the graph editor except for very rare occasions - and even then only because I feel like going into the graph editor. Otherwise I just animate away, run my simulations, set my cameras and lighting and render.
      My "Base Scene" approach gives me really good lighting already along with my render settings. So I just aim my perspective view, create a camera from it, add any movement I might need (to the camera) set the folder and file name and go cook for my wonderful wife as I render. Then I do dishes. Render is well underway by then, sometimes nearly complete. :)
