I have the G2. LG knocked it out of the park with the last two generations. The G2 is already super bright, so I could imagine MLA on the G4.
G2 wasn’t that super bright only G3 made a huge leap in brightness
So the supplied stand & no gap wall bracket is going to be wasted.
@@amitavraja3385 i have the lg g3. not worth to upgrade to the lg g4. he do turn the ai settings on. put it off. all those filters off. want to seen comparisson. in filmmaker mode. all same settings as the lg g3. same warmcolours. etc etc.

@@teddyholiday8038 enjoy. but dont use the personalize picture mode. its not nice. it turn on all those picture filters. filmmaker mode or cinema mode the best. but maybe you like another mode

@@davidross7255 I’ve turned it on under general settings. I’m not sure exactly how it works or comes into play. The details at moments is like 3D.. hard to describe!
The only sad part is holding the ancient bone like remote for next 4-5 years!!
Oh, I like your accent. My LG G1 is still going strong, and I really like it. I bought a Creston 'conference' center (used) it does a phenomenal job on upconverting to 2160 p. Everything looks so clear and I have lots and lots of hdmi 2 ports. Thanks for posting this review. I like to see how different people review the same model of a tv brand. Keep up the good work. I like your cube shelves, how NICE !!

Yea if you've never owned an OLED before, prepare to have your mind blown. I've only been an OLED owner for 3 days now and I can't get enough of this TV. My only regret is that I didn't buy one in the winter, like before the weather was nice and beautiful. It was so nice outside yesterday and I didn't want to leave the living room😂😂😂😂

Great video Andrew. I am curious what your perspective is on reflections when watching content, and if you have any lights on behind or to the side of your seating area, and if so, how are those reflections on this new G4 panel.

Finally! Stoked to watch this 📺 🙌No TV is perfect, but this g4 checks more than enough boxes for me. It's expensive but it looks like the blacks and color reproduction has a 3D realistic look and depth. Can't wait to view this TV for myself. "alpha 11"

@Andrew Zenn - Hi Andrew, note that the included slim wall mount includes the ability to extend out and back so you can easily pull it forward to get to the back ports then easily push it back into place. thank you for a great review!
I guess he opted for the standard wall mount because he's a reviewer and needs to change TVs on a regular basis...

I have a question for you. Do you notice any difference between the image of the Netflix app from the Apple TV and that from the LG Netflix app? I have the LG G4 65”, seem to notice that the colors of the LG Netflix app tend to be reacher and the image crispier than when watching Netflix via the Apple TV.
I am looking forward to your video with all the tweaks for the image . I hope you can provide something for SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision. I am currently using the filmmaker mode for all three formats, but frankly, I feel that they could be better. Thanks.😊

The Bluetooth is only 5.1, which is years old. The newest Bluetooth is 5.3.

Very nice. It's between this 77" G4 and the new Sony MiniLED with the new backlight tech and 50% brighter etc as my choice for my new TV.

I have not removed it from my c3 77 till now. It is little more reflective only.

Here in Canada the LG G4 77 inch doesn't come with a stand, can the stand for the 77 inch be purchased separately?
4:52 that’s the first video I watched when I received my 77” A95L. Incredible to say the least. These TVs are insane now a days.
Know a user who IS taking his A95L back because of how good the G4 is.
Returned my G3 for a 77" A95! I doubt the G4 is significantly better than last year's model and can't be better than the A95.

can exchange my lg g3 77 inch for the lg g4. 2249 euro. but i wait one year. not worth to upgrade. Stop the fomo says this to me: Paying an extra 2249 is not a good deal but an extra few hundred euro is fine but don't expect major improvements unless the additional tone mapping settings change your world and you are watching super bright content - if you are looking for accuracy, the AI processor does nothing for you because it will change the creator's intent to make it look more pleasing (like Sony XR Clear)
I always like QD OLED more because I know I'll get better uniformity out of the box with no compromise to color gamut coverage or color luminance, and color saturation is best in class, better than A95L which suffers from low luminance desaturation while G4 will suffer from high luminance desaturation
i meant S95C/D is better than A95L but WOLED has better low luminance saturation than A95L too
so G4 is insulting the creator this year because LG saw how well Sony sold its XR Clear which definitely changed the creator's intent - if youre going to leave AI Directors Processing off, then why buy the A11 processor, right?

Personally, I'm sick of lazy studios who messed up director's intent because the color graders were too lazy to do it right - what's the point? Game of Thrones was screwed up by the creator pure and simple, it was accidentally graded too dark so everyone had to re-adjust their TV to recover from the crushed blacks - ridiculous
Then you have Apple putting Dolby Vision filter on everything when the "creator" never intended for DV in the first place!
right now creator's intent is a farce on streaming/home delivery systems and only true in a real theater
SOOOO, this is a long winded way of saying, the differences are too minor for you to upgrade unless the G3 has terrible uniformity because the G4 promises better uniformity and THAT is probably the best improvement that most people will notice

As someone with a 65 C7, i think this is the year i'll be upgrading. Looking at the 83 as that sized has now been upgraded too.
But the size to value ratio jumps up big from the 77 to 83 :(
It does. Insanely so. But money isn't an issue with me. Also LG does their spin and win, so even a 20% ticket will be 2k off over here in Australia. And if you get lucky and get a 50% that's called gold.@@crolidegames

I think the g3 was slightly angled backwards via stand, but lg spoke of the g4 being vertical this year.

All ai shit picture processor must turn off. Compare it to lg g3 with picture mode in cinema or filmmaker mode.not worth to upgrade this year if you have allready a g3
AI picture mode gives much better resolution.

Samsung S95D OLED has anti-glare coating that does a better job than any TV before.

I'll be going for the 65" S90D or S90C, gotta have the Quantum dot colour, since it's closer to what Plasma & CRT are capable of.
Supposedly, if you do 3 pixel refresh cycles on the S90D it completely gets rid of the out of box black crush too.
My current LG C1? Lousy colour, low SDR & HDR game mode brightness, and inherent black crushing that can't be corrected without a professional calibration. :P

I've read that the stand is only included with the 55" and 65" too. Kind of shitty LG expects us to spend an additional $200 on a stand for a $4500 TV. LG is the only brand I've ever heard of to not include a stand with their TV.
I’ve had two LG’s for about 5 years now and the WiFi went out in both TVs soon after the warranty period. Looking at forums it seems like it’s a very common issue for LG. I hope LG has fixed this newer models.

it's 4 hdmi 2.1 ports, not 3. It's just that one of them can alternatively be used for earc.

I didnt know this TV was out either. Literally bought my first OLED this last Friday and saw no G4 TVs in the showroom at Best Buy. But I just pulled up Amazon to look at the price and 4600 for the 77" G4 😱😱😱😱😱 yea I'm good😂😂😂😂 paid less than half that for my 77" S90C. Im fine with it even though I have zero doubt the G4 probably blows the doors off it
