Everyone always says this, but when you *actually* watch her in interviews answering the public's questions you see nothing more than a simple politician. She had no more spine than the rest of them really, just always dodging questions and redirecting people's concerns. Tbh I was thoroughly unimpressed with how disappointing she was, I think people think she had integrity just because she could give a good speech, it's actually pretty pathetic.

He's basically pointing out, That a lot of people celebrate female success in 'male dominated' industries nowadays, but are very picky over who they praise, and Reginald, admitting he doesn't like her ideologies or the fact she batted for the 'other side' (implying he's a left wing voter) still respects her success at toppling male politicians....what is wrong with making a joke about that?
Its in the past, laugh at it. For crying out loud. Unless you implying the fact he said 'he'd fuck her' as sexist, but its just a part of his act for crying out loud. Whys it ok for Sean lock to have no limits (one of my favourite comedians ever) and not for Reginald?

    • @BigHenFor
      @BigHenFor 7 ปีที่แล้ว

bartolomeonew Why do you think the UK is leaving the EU? Governments there embraced globalisation and outsourcing and after the short honeymoon, they found that trickle down economics - the myth that profits from the free movement of capital would trickle down to the pockets of UK citizens - to be by and large a myth. Instead of more high paid jobs replacing those lost to outsourcing abroad, there are poorly paid minimum wage jobs that have to be subsidised through tax credits. David Cameron voted to allow China's underpriced steel into the EU, and not long after the biggest UK steel producer Tata, threatened to shut down their largest plant unless a buyer could be found. The jobs there were saved but the workers had to agree to smaller pensions, which means 10 - 20 years down the line, they will need on retirement state subsidies in order to survive. Whether you like it or not, you face a stark choice - pay now or pay later. The UK is flailing economically because the the neoliberal agenda is depriving the bottom half of society, and it's beginning to affect the earnings of the middle class too. Hence Brexit. Whatever you think about subsidising Polish jobs, at least the money is being spent on Poles and staying in Poland. Not the case in the UK...

    • @MattJames1958

The reason why governments prop up inneficient industries is because losing the jobs and incomes will ruin the economy. Gordon Brown
    David Camerom
    Theresa May
    Boris Johnson
    Elisabeth Truss
    Rishi Sunak
Honestly, they a two to five leages lower in Integrety, Arete, Will and Accomlishments.
Opposed to them, she really didnt gave a hoot about what people thought about her nor what the papers wrote. She took very unpopulair decissions, she thought that were needed. Not one of the ones after her did that (well accept for Tony Blair following Bush into an illigal war)
Not just in UK, but in loads of countries politicians are more concerned with how they are percieved and liked than to do what is needed to be done.

Why do prime ministers have cabinet ministers ? How many Male cabinet ministers did Thatcher have ? How many female cabinet ministers did Thatcher have ? Now if you discover that she had more Male than female, then who do you think she was influenced by ? She made her own rules ? Or someone made them for her ? OR cohersed her into making rules ? She might not have wanted to ? If Thatcher had had an ALL FEMALE cabinet, her Government may have been seen in a better light than it was, In my opinion.

There were next to no women politicians back then. To even get THAT far as a woman, you had to be like Thatcher; ruthless, hard-headed and completely convinced you were always right - and trust me, she was every much the EXCEPTION rather than the norm among women back then. A lot of the male politicians in her cabinet - most of whom were middle-aged and public school educated - were TERRIFIED of her, and it's even rumoured that a few of them actually fancied her (she probably gave off 'stern nanny' vibes, which would've lit a fire for a lot of those upper-class, boarding-school types...!)
Sexism is STILL so deeply embedded in our society (you gave a great display of it yourself, by the way, in assuming that just because Thatcher was the only woman around that she must've just been some sort of puppet being manipulated by all the men in her cabinet, rather than being an actual, strong leader herself.) As someone who's also worked under women bosses who've climbed the ladder in big corporations, I can also assure you those women also shared a lot of Thatcher's traits. Women don't get to positions of real power in businesses and politics WITHOUT being ruthless, hard-headed and completely convinced they're always right - because THE MEN AROUND THEM DON'T LET IT HAPPEN if they AREN'T like that. Those women HAVE to always be tougher, louder and more stubborn than the men - yes, even to the point of making those men SCARED of crossing them. And yeah, once they've made it into those prime positions they're perfectly capable of continuing to be the Badass Boss they already were.

Thatcher wrecked British industry. Her mates in the City didn't care if they financed far eastern sweat shops trashing the environment instead, what ever lined their pockets. She sold magic beans for Brits to blow their redundancy payouts on, thinking they were Richard Branson washing one another's windows or flogging imports from those sweat shops in place of stuff we used to make ourselves.
Filling Poland with lots of small businesses will do you no good unless they can export. More slices of pie doesn't mean more pie; you'll just be paying for more pie tins.

Idiot. I heard there would be an EastEnders Polish like soap. Like Regi said he was asked if there are Mexican in England. He said yeah but they call them Polish people. Think think think

I like him , obviously makes the feminists and SJW's look like idiots they are by claiming they speak for the oppressed and he just proves you can be black and successful without them and Thatcher proved the same .

Right?! Where in this video did this guy (the name suggests a male person) pick up the notion that he was in any way anti-feminist? On the contrary, he points out that some aspects of Thatcher's career (i.e. succeeding in a male-dominated field) could be seen as inspirational to women, although he disagrees with her politics.
"He just proves you can be black and successful without them and Thatcher proved the same." Did she though? Last time I checked, Thatcher was white. But that's not really the important bit.
The important bit is that this guy suggests you can rise to the top against adversity if you only try hard enough. Um, excuse me, isn't that idea precisely what Reginald D. Hunter said Thatcher got wrong? The idea that you 100 percent make your own destiny and if your life turns out shitty, it's therefore your own fault?
Seems to me this guy assumes that just because Hunter said that feminist icons need not necessarily use the means of sexuality to inspire, he is denouncing feminism entirely. Yeah, this logic isn't flawed at all...

I like the idea that Thatcher proved you can be black and successful without feminism. The logic is beautifully confused.
