No, its a part of structure, not a secret, ive seen many this houses in bedrock, maybe in java its a bug generation, many houses look like that is not filled with dirt
if it's a generation bug is one that has been around since the villages were redone and he was pointing out that it's not a secret on bedrock because of it not being filled in like it is on Java but it doesn't spawn without the dirt on Java
yeah in java i think the game forgets (isnt programmed) to replace dirt with air when generating the structure so the only way you can tell there is anything down there is the staircase nearby.
@@jake6056 No, plenty of structures replace dirt with air, including the upper levels of that house(Village world gen is goofy as is) It seems weirdly intentional
As a bedrock player I can confirm that there is a secret mole population that we are keeping away from Java Edition to keep them safe and not fall into the void because the moles become stronger in each version
bro just brought back memories of a world where i lived in that basement, had 20+ dogs, and lost them all on an adventure. never went back and eventually lost the world.
Basements are cold because of the earths natural temperature but what doesnt make sense is a basement living quarters in a taiga village, wouldnt that just make it a little bit extra colder especially during winter?
Taking that the house has a light where the door is, its probably because java was too lazy or something to clear it out. The place looks weird covered in dirt, theres even a chair there.
I'm waiting for one of these shorts to start the same way this one does and he finally GETS us. Just a random jumpscare where he runs up as usual and then grabs the viewer and just goes bat shit insane
Okay but for real I’m pretty sure it’s just due to how the game engines handle air in structure files, Java ignores it and lets the world generation fill it in, whereas Bedrock makes sure the empty pocket stays
actually, java structures have a distinction between replacing the area with air and filling it with generation. usually indicated by the use of a structure void block. my guess is that it was a simple mistake on javas development that went unnoticed
Hi! I’m here on behalf of the Bedrock players. We just wanna say: 1. You didn’t see the secret basement either 2. Our wither is infinitely harder than yours so maybe Java players are the ones who need baby mode 3. We have secret invisible moles that we’re gate keeping from ya’ll since you aren’t worthy
I remember while playing bedrock several years ago that I always found a "basement" house in the taiga village. I forgot about it because I have only played java since then but now got filled with all the nostalgia.
I think the most likely reason is that they playtested the changes mostly on bedrock first, so when they went to add the village update to java, they forgot to change how the building generates compared to other village structures, resulting in half of it being buried underground.
The real reason is the Java edition one doesn't include air blocks in the structure for some reason so the terrain just fills in anything that should have been air
The discovery of this house was shocking. Because I saw it structure models and couldn't figure out where it belongs. I think that the reason why java house is full of dirt is structure void in the basement that developers forgot to place
nah, we eat the dirt ourselves

Option 3: its a cellar to be safe from pillager attacks or 7 yr olds burning their houses down
As a bedrock play, you didn’t know about the invisible moles?
Funny thing is this is my actual icon
I think the most likely reason is that they playtested the changes mostly on bedrock first, so when they went to add the village update to java, they forgot to change how the building generates compared to other village structures, resulting in half of it being buried underground.
