Its these kind of allegations that should ALWAYS be treated as a legal issue, especially towards a celebrity or someone in the public eye. You did the right thing in contacting the police and trying to resolve this in the way it should, and being given a 1 1/2 hour deadline to go to a hearing with people, who I'm assuming didn't have any lawyers present at all, settle this that could've lead to an even worst situation then it already is. These allegations shouldn't be used as the hot new drama that will blow away. Iskall and Kwite are prime examples of the damage these allegations can cause when they may not even be true. They're called allegations for a reason. Not only that, but it can cause actual victims of SA, harassment in any form, etc, to not believed or even disregarded or, even worse, falsely accused of lying about their experience, causing them to being unable to share their stories that can help others. These are real, serious issues and cancel culture just treats it like its a game and insignificant. Cancel culture is disgusting in every way, shape and form.

@BigMchickenbut take in mind from there POV one of the big things about HC is it's 'vibe' idk how to explain it but the one of the first things emphasised was that no children where involved tells you how the community responses and again it was shitty in their part but bare in mind from what iskall has said their was likly a manipulator and likly some of the dev staff wanted to use this as on opputetbtuty to take over vault hunters. HC was shitty with it but tehy are also humans and likly acted quite rashly and yeah. They couldve handle it better but with how the internet is they very much ran for the hills
Let's be honest. We, as mere viewers and drama readers, should not spread hate on the basis of what we have seen. I have seen the girls' screenshots, and i can say no more than "this is an awkward conversation". Is iskall married? I have no idea. What was iskall's intentions? I have no idea. Please think again before sending a mean or hateful message out into the world. Be the better example and wait for the news to have an opinion, that does not necessarily need to be stated anywhere.
this needs to be pinned in every post on earth. ppl just cant control their stupid emotions and think they can say anything on the internet. i hope someday they will understand that words have weight
To be honest this seems to be happening more and more lately. With for the most part false allegations for _some_ reason getting thrown at whoever's popular enough or in enough power over _anything_ be it some game's server, a discord server, etc. :/
Yes exactly literally the first thing the police say on any legal matter is to stay quiet and this stupid cancel culture garbage takes that fact as the person being guilty
key takeaway: don't trust someone based solely on their word, wait for proof. all he's done is play the victim card, he hasn't provided any evidence that i know of.
If he was officially advised to not make a statement on the matter. Then your are supposed to make that your statement.not just be silent. Also if he was advised to not making a public statement he still could of told the hermits that in private.
Especially when they have retained a lawyer/solicitor. They most likely require clients to not speak out about some details, especially if there is an investigation involved and is ongoing.
So, you contacted a lawyer (that's what a solicitor is where Iskall lives, right?), and the Hermits kicked you out for following legal advice? That doesn't sit right with me
I'm just curious here, but do they operate differently there? I'm from the UK but didn't consider that tbh. Either way, following the police was the right decision.
Yes. From what I've heard, the crime rates in Sweden are very very low, and for good reason. I'm happy to finally hear Iskall debrief us on how these allegations were false, and how he's navigating this challenge (even though I never watched any of his videos until this one).

Truly merciless, then again who are the majority teenagers and children who watch to know better. The only ones to blame are those at Hermitcraft for taking the word of gossip without maturity.
I watched Hermitcraft for years, following only a few of the hermits and Iskall is one of them. For them to just do this to him after being part of the group for so many years and seemingly friends with so many of them, to drag him through their version of justice with no semblance of fairness is just complete shite. They have been running out of steam for years and Iskall is one of the reason I still tune in occasionally. Guess that's my tiny viewership gone.
I've been extremely uncomfortable with how Hermitcraft handled this. They could've just stated that you had resigned; no additional reason was needed! They claimed they wanted to respect the privacy of those involved, but by making vague accusations without any follow up, they just created an environment where speculation, gossip and mud-slinging flourished. The lack of clarification and moderation was just more fuel to the internet's lust for canceling. I feel for you Iskall.
You realize if they had only said "He resigned". It screws them all up, thats how allegations go, because it is seen as just hiding the evidence or covering their tracks. There was a reason he resigned, and they stated it.
@ I understand it from a PR side as well but is completely cutting off and potentially ruining someone's life over something not even confirmed to be true yet is wild. These were people he was friends with for close to a decade, not some random business...
There are 3 sides to every story: 1) Party 1's side 2) Party 2's side 3) The truth. In a Venn Diagram, there's usually overlap somewhere where the overlap is the truth. Now.. how much overlap is Party 1 and how much is Party 2? That's the question. Don't ever jump to conclusions.

@@cmorris7104if a lawyer advises you to not say anything regarding a crime you didn't commit, you would probably trust it, but surely Iskall would be fully aware of the online backlash to not let his friends see his messages, there's no doubt in my mind if he said to the hermits I'm in contact with police, don't do anything rash until they finish, they'd have waited, silence can be incriminating despite it being the most prudent course under advise of a lawyer
The fact that this happened to someone who people have watched for years and they turned on him WITH ZERO EVIDENCE is fucking horrible. People need to understand that barely half of the allegations are true
@fnaffoxy1987 yeah separately from iskall but the fact that even mumbo and grain threw him under the bus is fucked like they’re to two hermits I’d look to who could honestly make a change in the community and they both just fucked him over if I was stress that is not the type of people I’d wanna be around.

I can see both sides of this one. On one side, it's an injustice for the accused, until the allegations are either proven or disproved. On the other side, since the accusations were made publicly, the Hermitcraft had to do damage control, to prevent blowback against the other members. Even so, even taking all of that into account, only giving 90 min to come to a meeting is nuts.

From the ‘evidence’ I saw literally nothing happened and I always thought it was blown out of proportion. What really got me was Mumbo removing the Sahara merch, was he told to do that or did he do that because he was helping perpetrate the rumours, I find it hard to believe Mumbo would of all people do that since you were in so many of his videos, and had large sections in season 10. I’m really sorry for what happened Iskall, we still love you.
Likely as a way to defend his own reputation and career. Even talking with someone who is seen as a terrible person can completely end your career. But also we don't know the entire truth. Iskall could easily still be lying. We just won't know.
Same it was either a "statement" with literally zero context or explanation and the only "proof" was bro trying to rizz someone up (who was clearly reciprocating that emotion and energy...)
As iskall (and multiple people have said already) hermitcraft is a brand, and they do a fair share of "content moderation" as he called it. We don't know anything but at least in what's hermitcraft related I wouldn't be surprised if hermitcraft decided to just disassociate with him entirely. Also, no matter what you think about the situation, it's probably safer to just distance yourself from anyone that's been canceled, it's sad that it is like this but people that mindlessly hate will spread that to everywhere they can.
Wherever the truth lies, Iskall shared his side of the story respectfully and professionally. We should approach the situation in the same manner, refraining from prematurely judging Iskall or the members of Hermitcraft. Let’s not forget this. The Hermitcraft community never has been, and never will be, a place for hatred or disrespect.
But it was. He was treated badly by Hermitcraft members. The ones who demanded response in 1.5 hours should resign. He should sue them for spreading rumors and demand to pay for damages, for lost revenue. It would be only fair.
Yet they dissrespected the man. For what proof we have been shown, there was no reason to treat him like that. They know what kind of power they hold and should be held responsible for the damage they caused.
@@andrisbalodis2222 agreed whoever pushed all this should be sued probably for defamation , however original post is still accurate to say "the community" isn't about that hate and everything the official members of hermit craft at least imo are separate from "the community" we as all things considered ignorant public viewers have no real ground in the matter , it should be handled and resolved by the people actually involved ( accuser , Iskall , "professionals" in hermit craft that pushed the directive" Iskall bad ") in the whole ordeal.

So all in all, it's about Iskall conducting immoral and unprofessional behavior. And about making sure more people don't go through those interactions. And when Iskall refused to adress it when reached out to, and instead quit HC, it basically escalated to public statements about the situation from the victims, and the results of the interactions from HC. And with that context, you now have Iskalls first public statement about it all in the form of this video.
Now it’s not our turn to get mad at hermitcraft, iskall or anyone. The thing we need to do as fans is wait till we hear more about the situation. Why is this not top comment so everyone can see this? People are so quick to turn their backs on Iskall or HC but they don't even try to wait and see the truth. Sad.
Since this was all private I assumed that the hermitcraft team knew something we didn't and thats why they cut Iskall. Now that both sides are out I believe this was made way worse than it needed to be because all of the pieces that weren't private were all viewing Iskall in a negative way.

@@sebastiannitu6928 I do remember a brief rumor on the subreddit about the police being involved or someone getting a lawyer. It's possible that things were already going on behind the scenes, like lawyers asking the Hermits to remove images of Iskall from thumbnails during the investigation/possible defamation lawsuit (I'm not a legal expert, much less one on EU law, so I don't know if the Hermits themselves had to comply with any European laws.). Maybe that was part of the "you have 90 minutes to discuss something before we have to take things down". Then there's the problem of trying to be diplomatic, and everyone reading that in their own way.
When neither iskall nor the hermits decided to release information, I decided to wait for more information before making any assumptions other than that he was confronted because of the negative experiences and resigned. I figured the silence was because of something court related.
@@MrPopTarted genuine question, how do you know that? If you don't know anybody involved personally, you can't say for sure that it did or didn't happen. Until the investigation is complete, we don't know if it is true
@@MrPopTarted help me understand, this is the first video I have seen about this. From what I've seen, it's all just alleged, not proven. Secondly, flirting with a woman of age is not illegal, even if she's his coworker. Iskall doesn't strike me as a malicious guy, and even if the woman felt uncomfortable due to his actions, he certainly doesn't deserve to have his life ruined to the point they kick him from Hermitcraft. Deciding to go public like this is a failure on her side, this could've been resolved behind closed doors with the authorities, going public in a day when even made-up allegations can ruin someone's career should be the last resort.
The idea of innocent until proven guilty is a set standard for the courts in order to avoid biases during trials and future judgements. The same standard is not necessary for the public, since controlling that is physically impossible. People will judge, they are in their right to do it. Informed or not, they can get assumptions and act upon them.
Have we really learned nothing from the Kwite situation, for it seems that it has happened again to Iskall. People trusting the word of a "victim" unconditionally, without looking into anything further, refusing to hear from the "accused", and attacking them for absolutely no reason. The truth is that "cancelling" people has a real effect on the *people* behind the screen, destroying their livelihoods, careers, and lives as a whole. It seems that, after you, and Kwite, the internet as a community has lost sight of that fact. Stay strong Iskall, stay safe, and I wish for the best for you.
Reminds me of what happened to GeorgeNotFound too. I don’t really like his videos or anything and I know he didn’t handle his situation the best, but it was the same thing where a woman claimed a bunch of stuff about him and everyone believed her SO MUCH even though it very quickly became apparent that she was lying since her story was changing so much.
It was the same thing with Dream. I'm not talking about the latest stuff, I mean the original allegations against him. Whether you like Dream or not, it was only his word against hers, and the whole internet turned on him even though he was later found innocent.
Didn't even need further alignment based on what they said in the first place. They admit themselves that the only reason they said anything was because they found out he was talking to someone else the same way. It was jealousy, not because he did anything wrong, at least for the general populace. She thought she was special and when she found out she wasn't, she tried to destroy him. She was okay with being the other woman, but not one of the other women.
Stuff like this is why I try to avoid drama involving content creators. No matter whether the content creator is guilty or a victim of a defamation attack, no one wins. Now, I don't think Iskall is entirely innocent in this situation, but I don't think he deserves to be treated like he's the worst person in the world either.

I read through all the allegations as they were presented, as soon as the accusations came out, and I never really understood what the actual grievance was. In all the accusations shown, the private DMs, the discord chats, all it was was grown adults talking as they do. Nothing that I saw was criminal, nothing was predatory, nothing was abusive. I absolutely abhor the court of public opinion. Exercising silence does not imply guilt and, a lot of the times with public influencers, immediate denial and/or apology messages typically means guilt on some level, so your silence spoke more to the idea that there was more than met the eye than anything else. If he says it's under police investigation then everyone is under the assumption he's not going to be able to show/say much...the point being that he's made a video to proclaim innocence and that everyone is just hate mobbing him with the response of "Trust me guys". There's no "after the investigation I have screencaps to show" or "after the investigation I have X information to show" so we have a clear point that there's something he has that'll prove we can trust him. He's said trust me, offered nothing and complained he hates that he's being cancelled because his life sucks right now. That's not really offering anything to trust it's asking for a pity party, that's why people are complaining that if you're going to make this video proclaiming innocence then atleast come with something to back that up even if it's just a promise of a future video to prove things after a case, that's better than a "feel sorry for me trust me guys" video.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where this was going: "You either leave quietly or we kick you out loudly" I'm very interested in him revealing what other scummy things were happening behind the scenes. I like Hermitcraft, but clearly it lost it's soul at some point
I feel like this is kinda a misunderstanding. I stand by what hermit craft did, its trying to avoid all non child friendly things and all drama, but I feel a temporary pause on you being part of the server would've been a better response. I also feel that while the messages you were sending were a bit on the strange side to me, I find no offence in flirting between adults. There was also no obvious sign of the people you were messaging trying to get you to stop or just stepping away. I see this as more of a hate attack of something innocent that is easily portrayed as wrong. Good luck iskall.
Please get back to videos and let us help you get that income back. We are here to support you. Whether it’s single player or on a new server, vanilla or mods. We all will be here to help lift you back up.
OK so let me get this straight... after YEARS of your deep contribution into Hermitcraft they gave you a.... hour and a half of time before they remove you completely? What a sack of crap they are full of!
I mean that wasn’t the threat at all though, they needed to act because they had been dragged into this situation by the accuser. Organising a meeting quickly in these situations is vital to get ahead of the internet, and in response iskall resigned. Even then they only released a statement saying there were accusations and iskall resigned. We can’t really make judgements on what would have happened at or after the meeting because it never actually happened (which I will add doesn’t exactly show innocence in these sort of situations)
@@ironeyes1096 They didn't have to immediately go public with the accusations as it was an acusation against Iskall not hermitcraft. You could argue that this only further escalated the situation for iskall. Now they could have potentially landed themselves in trouble with the law for defamation because their immediate actions lead to Iskall's resignation.
@@daseapickleofjustice7231 i agree that the way they handled it was selfish, but they had multiple people that have livelihoods that depend on the group. even if it was selfish, they had a lot of people to consider and iskall is unfortunately just one person. even stress leaving with iskall would not have affected the group as a whole much, but the negative rep from being associated with iskall at that time could have affected the whole group.
The Diorite was a nice touch. I can't comment on anything that happened, obviously. Anybody who spreads rumours that isn't directly involved obviously can't either. There are 3 sides to every story. I don't quite understand the 1.5-hour deadline to join a meeting. If true, that's a really bad look for the other hermits. I hope there are 3 sides to that story too. Ultimately, I feel the Hermits did the best they could here. They needed to announce something, and they announced as little as possible and any further comments were to dispel false allegations. If they had said more or less, I suspect the community would have been even worse. Obviously, don't know what was said behind the scenes. The community, especially the Twitter community, exploded with false rumours and it wasn't helpful to anybody. The drama was through the roof, and not enough people were patient. Best of luck with the investigations, Iskall. I'll wait for the truth and full story to come out before passing any judgement.
As someone who has not been active within the minecraft/hermitcraft community for months, its sad to see someone as respectable as iskall torn to shreds and abandoned by friends. Regardless of if you are innocent or not having only 1.5hrs to prepare a defense for something or suffering the immediate destruction of your entire online presence is fucking ridiculous. I wish you nothing but the best iskall
That's how being an online content creator works. If they didn't seperate from him as soon as possible they ALL would have gone down as well. They make their living based on their image and popularity as a whole, even with just alligations, If an individual threatens that image then they need to speak for themselves to the group or be seperated from. The way the internet is, there wasn't much else they could have done that wouldn't hurt the entire servers image and all of their career's.
They didn't give him an hour and a half to come up with a defense, they gave him an hour and a half to just come and talk about it. And they didn't rip him to shreds, the community did. (Though still a little unjustly in my opinion, but don't blame the hermitcraft members for it.)
All scandals in the Internet are treated the same. The worst this man was accused of was flirting and making someone uncomfortable while potentially having a partner (don't cheat). *...He got death threats for it.* If the other person didn't want to talk to the one supposedly making them uncomfortable, they didn't have to.
I promise, when I heard about the allegations, I drew 0 conclusions. I just told myself that I'd wait till iskall talks about it. Always trusted you, thanks for keeping it. Love ya.
Iv defended sir Iskall from the very start and Iv had people sending messages of hate towards me for defending him. Il stand by my word as I know all true Iskalls loyal followers will do o7 good day sir
It's a bias. The ones who are reacting now are still subscribed, so of course there's a big group of people here who support Iskall / at least had doubts about the whole situation. It's not an accurate representation of what the community as a whole thinks
This is something I've noticed, it's not just a bias, the youtube algorithm more than any other platform actually boosts the comments in favour of the creator, the entire comment section unless you click on recent will support the narrative of the video.
I’ve been waiting to hear some sort of response, but this is just so much more heartbreaking than I could of imagined I couldn’t imagine the hurt of being stabbed in the back by nearly every hermit. Im so sorry for what you’ve went through, and I hope the best for you in the future
This is a lot of he said, she said. There are a lot of cases where someone will cry wolf to hurt someone, especially to try to hurt someone who is famous. On the other hand there have been several cases of victims of abuse or harassment who got shunned and shamed for coming forward with legitimate allegations. We can not know which side is in the right or the wrong until concrete evidence is made apparent. What we can avoid doing until such evidence is brought forth is further spreading the hate and damage that had been already caused. We honestly dont need to know anything about this. This is a PERSONAL issue. I do not agree that he should have been so hastily removed from hermitcraft, because being removed made this whole thing public, but on the other hand maybe there was some evidence that the other hermits saw that completely violated the rules of the community they have created, which caused them to take such drastic and swift action. In conclusion we do not have enough evidence to make any conclusions, please stop the hate towards both parties even if evidence does come to light. We are all living life, we make mistakes. Just stop needlessly prying into the private lives of content creators because they are people as well who make errors. How would you feel if every mistake you made got you put on a cross to be judged by hundreds of thousands of random strangers and friends alike. Sorry for the rant lol.
Exactly this! I believe in innocent until proven guilty, but also believing those who are victims- I haven’t finished watching this video, but I’m currently kind of neutral on it, bcz I genuinely don’t know, and this isn’t something to guess abt):
Amen. I'm sorry, but this isn't a good look for Iskall. The video, I mean. If he gets the police involved, that's his business, but coming forth to splatter this all over the internet again after things had quieted down is just no bueno. It makes it look like he's trying to do what you described: collecting a torch and pitchfork mob of fans for both the victims and the Hermits. I don't like it.
I agree with the rant, but there is one major problem. I don’t expect the “angry mob” to read that text in full because they clearly didn’t put much thought into being an “angry mob.”
@@ms_scribbles Involving the police and lawyers is the only right thing to do, and the legal advice should always be to say nothing until they've had a chance to review the situation. He specifically didn't name anyone, probably because his lawyer told him not to. If the circumstances being alleged aren't true, how is he supposed to defend himself if he isn't allowed to refer to the people involved? As for "after things quieted down", I disagree. As an example, if you are having an argument with a friend, spouse, etc, is it not better to walk away, let things cool off, and then come back to discuss when tempers have settled down? I agree, we still don't have all the info and probably never will. Anyone could be guilty of anything, that's always the case. But the accusers' own evidence is full of plot holes and contradicts itself several times, and I think that says a lot.
A lot of people never heard about it to begin with, so now their best friend Iskal is telling them "everyone against me is either lying or overreacting! CANCEL CULTURE!" and they just take it at face value instead of seeing it as an obvious manipulation tactic
He didnt do anything wrong or illegal, at most he was awkward and too pushy. ppl acting like hes some predator who deserves to lose everything is crazy.
Seeing Iskall's side finally is good to hear, i stand strongly against "cancel culture" and it's over the top depressing effects on alleged people. If anything YOU are the victim of the internet despite having served it and make crazy cool and funny content for years. It makes me really happy to see Stress is on your side still despite the difficult situation. i hope for the best

@@AddictiveGaming_ After this whole ordeal, I wouldn't expect that either. I just hope IskallMAN manages to get through these trying times. Whenever he starts making content again, I will watch :) Iskall, if you're reading this: stay strong! And remember the community that supports you and doesn't fall for rumors without proof ❤
even if he did do what he's accused of, kicking someone out and basically halting their only stream on income over private personal issues is not the way to handle it, especially not someone who you've worked together with for years. they should aim on helping you and preventing anything from happening again (assuming its true). ruining somebody's life doesn't help anyone. it doesn't help the (alledged) victims and it certainly doesn't help you. most of what he's alledged to do is hardly the worst things to have been done, and isnt even illegal. they are traits of somebody who needs help, in order to not only give his victims (ALLEDGED) clarity but also to ensure it's never done again.
"Halting their only stream on income" Iskall in this very video says he makes money of Patron still, literally over a grand a month, plus views on old backlog content, plus views on this very video. And, He was the one who chose to stop streaming and posting videos for a while.
I feel for you, dude. Trial by the angry mob on the internet is totally injust and unfair. Stay strong, be yourself, and do what you need to do, to come back stronger than ever.
iskall we are so sorry and i hope things improve and you get out ontop. you are an amazing content creator and a personal favourite minecraft youtuber. i hope things improve for you.
I don’t know about the truth of the allegations one way or another, but look forward to seeing more from both sides, but either way you are a great TH-camr and I’d love to watch more of your content. Hoping you can somewhat recover from this and get back on your feet.
Innocent until proven guilty is how it should be. Not the other way around. I dont know either side of the story, nor do i need to know. I was not involved, and therefore, it is none of my business. Now, if a child was involved, as a mother, i would be invested in the outcome. I do believe many people confirmed that no minor was involved. Iskall, your personal life should never be aired for anyone. Every single person on this earth has made bad choices, trusted the wrong person, etc. Not one of us has a pedestal over each other in that department. And even if a choice was made intentionally knowing the outcome, people have a choice to change their life path and become a better person. I cant stand when some one gets blasted publically with a he said she said and there is not much evidence to go on but the person is still incriminated and forced into silence and shunned. I think you should push on and continue doing the things you love. I cant imagine how hard it must be one way or another to deal with this. I wish you the best.
He was innocent and guess what, when presented with evidence of “lies”, iskall decides to ghost? I very much believe iskall did some things with these women and that alone was enough to get him kicked out of hermitcraft.
When I heard the drama I was seriously wondering why the adult woman did not tell you to back off, and why this became so escalated. I think the internet is too used to demonizing someone and I'm so sorry this happened to you, iskall. I can only hope things become better and you can get through this, you still have my support.
Im not making this comment to take sides simply a reminder that it is possible that it has unfortunately happened to that person twice now. Its more common than people want to acknowledge how many creeps are out there pretending to be good people.
@ if it’s happened twice and they’re response BOTH times was to not block them and instead let it continue for long enough to have a document of evidence then man that woman is on something Edit: like happening once and having this result? Sure I can believe that. But having it happen a second time and not learning from your mistake last time is wild.
@Sollapoke look nobody truly knows what happened but it does seem concerning that you seem to be struggling to see not everyone is as cynical and untrusting as say you or me. Some people are too trusting and haven't learned or haven't had anyone to teach them how to recognize negative behavior in its beginning stages. If this person was wronged by someone and iskall it's a terrible thing to happen and we shouldn't blame them we weren't in the situation. If it is falsified or untrue allegations then yes the proper authorities should deal with. I guess my point is try to not to be so quick to cast judgment or assumptions on either side its important think things through and realize everyone reacts to things differently
Didn't even know you were in the trenches like this. Since many of my favourite TH-camrs(specifically Minecraft TH-camrs) had been disappearing, i thought it was just normal break time and stuff. Sorry to hear that you are in this situation man. Innocent till proven guilty and myself and many others will be here waiting for your return
Hi iksall, I stopped watching Hermitcraft for a long time now and I wasn't even aware of this situation until i received this notification from you. You've always been my favourite Hermit and I don't know what the hell happened but I know that cancel culture f*cking sucks and it's one of the most disastrous things of our times. I fully support you even though I stopped watching you and Hermitcraft for a while now. I'm sending you my strength in this challenge
He was accused by multiple members of his community of him trying to start relationships with them. Some felt harassed, some felt cheated that he was cheating, and other things. All while talking to multiple members of his community in private (at the same time) he also had a partner he lived with. One of the ‘victims’ (I use that word lightly) brought the issue of some of his creepy DMs to a hermitcraft member, more victims reached out and then hermitcraft asked him to address the allegations. He refused and resigned as mentioned and that was pretty much it, hermitcraft made a simple tweet stating that he resigned and he’s been silent until now. Simply no criminal accusations were just made, just accusations of actions not welcomed in the community and after he left it wasn’t pursued further, (atleast publicly). It seems he’s now suing them for kicking him out and stating there were accusations against him.
I think we need a TON more information before making a judgement, and I don't know if we will ever get it. Iskall implied that a lot has been going on behind the scenes in Hermitcraft, and that the evidence that was released was "incomplete" or at least didn't tell the full picture. I think both sides handled the situation poorly, but Hermitcraft has a lot more responsibility in this, as they are a group of people who should have been lucid and smart enough to understand what they were doing would cause a lot of damage to Iskall, while he was subject to the stress of potentially losing his livelihood and was also in the midst of a police investigation. I will need more transparency form both sides, but especially the hermits, to start supporting anyone again.
Yeah this is where I’m at. I don’t think he’s a monster, but I also don’t know what happened behind the scenes and whether the Hermits have more damning evidence. Either way, it’s just very sad that clearly he’s not friends with the Hermits anymore, and we may never see those days return of his silly interactions with Joel, Mumbo, or the Neighborhood.
You are already crossing a bridge, you took action and are now communicating with your community (at the right time imo). It sucks but it will harden you like iron and make you a wiser, stronger man. Keep working through it, a lot of us have seen this before online and in person and we stand by you. I will be praying for you.
Just a thought..... many years ago, a crazy former employee for the company I worked for at the time called up to speak to different employees of the company accusing her previous supervisor (somebody we all worked closely with) of sexual harassment + firing her for that reason. These accusations were handed off to our human resources who immediately brought it up in a meeting with this supervisor. There were no delays in asking questions and getting direct answers, etc. Withholding information or refusing to answer questions would have not worked well for this person who was actually completely the victim of a vengeance campaign. The COMPANY reported the woman to the police and got a protection order.
> But it sounds like they wanted your side confidentially, so they could separate the accusations from what actually happened. Same as any club or business If you get an ultimatum of 90 minutes, then they don't want to hear your side, they want a trial. Also they are not law enforcement in the first place. If I tomorrow got an accusation of (sexually) abusing a coworker, I would not talk to HR about that, but with police, just like Iskall did. The only thing Iskall did not do right imho is he was quiet for too long. He should have at least given a mini update IMMEDIATELY after (that he is talking to law enforcement) and another mini update a week or a month later for his fans to "Stand by, allegations are false, I need to keep quiet due to law enforcement recommending so and I will talk to you once each month and give you a mini update". And the mini update could have been "My case is with law enforcement still, no progress. I love you, stand by. Next call in a month."
Police giving the advice to not disclose anymore info can be because the police don't know if you know what to say and what not to. Revealing one thing and not the other or vice versa changes things and in most cases it's better to have a solid ground to stand on with reviewed facts. As to why he couldn't give a mini update saying he was going through proceedings when stuff was already exploding, the only thing I can think of is that isn't the police's job to restore your standing.
If you don't talk to HR immediately on getting called on the carpet, then I would say that you will lose your job. Understand this is different than rushing to the nearest microphone to tell all. People who you work with need to know immediately (and yes privately) that allegations are false or maliciously misconstrued.
If this all turns out to be true, personally I believe innocent until proven guilty, I would like to know who within the Hermitcraft leadership gave the ultimatum. I would like to avoid supporting anyone who would place their own monetary gain over justice. I sincerely hope not all of them were a part of this decision. Let the truth set you free.
From my understanding and what we've all been told, every vote has to be unanimous. I don't see how this even came to a vote before any legal actions came to be.
There was no ultimatum. Hermitcraft gave Iskall short notice for a meeting, Iskall decided not to take part of the meeting and resigned. He never said anything about Hermitcraft telling him either take the meeting or resign. The resignation was his choice
@@eeeeeeeev didn't he JUST say that either he joined the call or they kicked him? Listen to the video dude. Of course there is no reason to blindly believe Iskall, but in my opinion you are innocent until proven guilty.
I get that the Hermits had to protect the name of Hermitcraft, but a full "Either talk to us in over an hour or you're out" is insane. They should have told him to just not get on until they know the facts. A perma ban, without all the facts and considerations(Iskall getting the police to investigate) is insane. Even to distance the brand as a whole.
Personally. I think the hermitcraft crew had a "right" to "remove" iskall from the team since its mostly a child driven community. But i don't think they should have removed you. More so, put you on hiatus from the community until the investigation has given a more general sensus on what the situation before making a final decision.
Absolutely agree, Publicly removing Iskall from the Server because he wouldn’t attend a hearing that he was advised not to attend by Police is ridiculous, I believe that an hour and a half to prepare for a hearing was a little short but this was a likely Sexual Harassment case and he should have been placed on Hiatus with quick effect but Public removal was ridiculous
90% of the HC creators are PG.. PG13 at best.. one of their members being accused of grooming their employees breaks into NSFW territory.. especially as all we heard from either side is a press release from HC and nothing from Iskall.. is how the community handled it wrong? yes. Is it unwarranted? We still don't know. All i known now is that Iskall is investigating malicious claims.. and former employees of his shared evidence of him abusing his authority
100% agree, personally I think they should have put him on hiatus. The thing that annoys me is that as far as I know the Hermits have not said anything about the situation other than that a minor was not involved. As for the reddit stuff what were they supposed to do, delete the posts to stop the rumors? Some people would take tha as them hiding the truth and that's the sad thruth. I just hope the people who attacked Iskall don't do a 180 and attack the hiermits, just leave everyone alone
The reality is that internet is too quick to jump to conclusions. Personally I have no clue whether Iskall has actually done anything bad in this situation and I don’t pretend I do. First we heard from the alleged victims and now we are hearing his side. Only when he fully reveals his side (with the investigation and more information) can we actually judge the situation. I do believe as someone who has been a fan for years I deserve to find out what kind of person Iskall really is. On the other hand he deserves time and patience as he is preparing his response.
I hope everything works out for you. It's terrible you have to go through all this. You have always made me laugh with your videos and I hope you are able to rebuild.
This is sad to hear, I wish you the best Iskall and I hope you find a healthy way to cope with the immense amount of stress you're going trough right now. I hope it doesn't last long, this seems ridiculous and makes me remember Amber heard and Johnny Depp all over again. The way you've been treated is inhumane over allegations that weren't even criminal, breaks my heart. You don't deserve this Iskall, but I know you'll be back (in any way you wish) and I think after the initial backlash and drama bait people will appreciate this thoughtful response of yours, it was a really sincere response which is who I've always seen you as, and still do. Much love 💚
As someone who isn't on social media, this is the first I'm hearing about this. So sorry to hear people have decided to tear down your life without cause. Looking forward to seeing what you do in the future. Your videos and streams have brought me so much joy. Vault Hunters is, in my opinion, the best thing to happen to Minecraft. Thank you for deciding to keep it your own and to continue the project. Take care of yourself ❤
It makes me so sad to hear all of this. The world has gone mad. As soon as I heard about the situation, I decided to step away from the community, as I've been in other communities where this has happened and I didn't want to be involved with any drama. I am glad you are doing okay, and I am sending many well wishes and comforting hugs your way
Remember kids We're just bystanders, we know maybe part of the context and we have no clue what happened behind the scenes. No need to cancel anyone at all, not until enough evidence comes out. Right now, it's his word against that of other people. I believe Iskall when he said he's taken it to the police, that's all I need to know. Police can uncover the truth and we shall hopefully see what the outcome will be.

Yes. Quite upsetting if true
I think the reason the Hermits acted so quickly is they were scared of potentially being dragged into it and having their own reputations and incomes affected. Key Takeaway: Silence does NOT mean guilt. Clearly there are other reasons an accused person wishes to remain silent on an issue

@@ParallaxJackWym bs and fake? U think they are cheating?

I guess my thinking was more that his lawyer may have advised him not to respond to the allegations in detail, which I believe is pretty typical for “irl” legal situations.
Hey now, the internet has rules. They just don't ah... help you in a situation like this. At all.
@RunicSigils the issue is, why wasn't iskall aware of what could happen, its naivety at best and playing stupid at worst

I can see both sides of this one.
On one side, it's an injustice for the accused, until the allegations are either proven or disproved.
On the other side, since the accusations were made publicly, the Hermitcraft had to do damage control, to prevent blowback against the other members.

Also, no matter what you think about the situation, it's probably safer to just distance yourself from anyone that's been canceled, it's sad that it is like this but people that mindlessly hate will spread that to everywhere they can.

The Hermitcraft community never has been, and never will be, a place for hatred or disrespect.

The accusations were basically unwanted repeated sexual advances, lying to them about not having a partner, emotionally manipulating pleas to keep the interactions going.
@@vit.budina Honestly from my knowledge it seemed like some ploy to take over Vault Hunter that went out of control and here we are.
It seems that, after you, and Kwite, the internet as a community has lost sight of that fact. Stay strong Iskall, stay safe, and I wish for the best for you.
Reminds me of what happened to GeorgeNotFound too. It was the same thing with Dream. I'm not talking about the latest stuff, I mean the original allegations against him. Whether you like Dream or not, it was only his word against hers, and the whole internet turned on him even though he was later found innocent.
Didn't even need further alignment based on what they said in the first place.

As for you Iskall, I saw the accusation videos show up on my TH-cam feed, I didn’t watch them because I don’t like drama, and I’d say the way your handling the situation as of right now is the correct one, try and not let others drag you down because they are angry, and I do hope that you are innocent in this situation, but if you arnt, thank you for providing engaging and fun content to watch I’m glad I got to watch you grow and create things that made you happy.
So we created something called presumption of innocence. It's fucked up to expect evidence for innocence.
Imagine being told you have to defend yourself on something you didn't do in an hour

I was holding out for your side. I know why Hermitcraft did the meeting so quickly, but I hope they can see your side as friends. I hope bridges can be mended someday and that you have support during this time.
there was a better way of handling it. This just screams kangaroo court and that there were elements within Hermitcraft that wanted him gone. At the very least, the Hermits could have asked him to quietly not continue making HC episodes and to keep them updated while this was being investigated. Granted I think that Hermitcraft wants a squeaky clean image.
@@casualsilver2702 HC is a very family friendly, "safe" brand that's highly regarded for not having controversy. It's understandable why they wanted to separate from this situation as fast as possible. Keeping this on the down low was not an option when there were 3rd party people claiming to be victims, if the whole controversy was sparked as "A Hermitcraft member did X and Hermitcraft protected him" instead of "A Hermitcraft member did X and was immediately removed", the Hermitcraft brand would've been hurt.
i can empathize but not agree and will not they passed judgment on a short order just to save face and betrayed a friend
@@casualsilver2702Mate it's just a server that avoids drama at all costs.
@@wilkjakub64 Throwing out a long time member and then individually trashing him is just as bad.
What Hermitcraft should've done is what every real life company does: put him on administrative leave until the court case is over. Stand by him until the whole story comes out, one way or another. Then either publicly kick him from the group or reinstate him fully. Instead they immediately labelled him as guilty, gave him no time to defend himself, and threatened to publicly out him. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where this was going: "You either leave quietly or we kick you out loudly"
I'm very interested in him revealing what other scummy things were happening behind the scenes.
@@ironeyes1096 idk talking out about it was to save their own skin. Very selfish behavior to go public with it.
@@sgttoxiiczz they didn’t go public immediately. They collected evidence first a time before making a decision.
I feel so bad that you have been put through this my friend. Know that I still support you and your content.
@@TheRayzerBandit no, that is not how it works. that is how it works in a toxic and stressful environment
@@TheRayzerBandit no, this is exactly the issue. WHY was this whole this publicised in the first place?
"as respectable as iskall" you litteraly have no proof
They didn't give him an hour and a half to come up with a defense, they gave him an hour and a half to just come and talk about it. And they didn't rip him to shreds, the community did. (Though still a little unjustly in my opinion, but don't blame the hermitcraft members for it.)
Hoping for the best for you and I hope all the facts be one clear. I seriously hope you can find a way to continue your content making career iskall.
All scandals in the Internet are treated the same.
The worst this man was accused of was flirting and making someone uncomfortable while potentially having a partner (don't cheat).
*...He got death threats for it.*
If the other person didn't want to talk to the one supposedly making them uncomfortable, they didn't have to.
Kinda wild im only seeing positive comments given the way the community reacted when this all came out
It's a bias. The ones who are reacting now are still subscribed, so of course there's a big group of people here who support Iskall / at least had doubts about the whole situation.
It's not an accurate representation of what the community as a whole thinks
people are fickle but also love pretending they're the nice ones whenever something happens.
That's what happens when you look into an echo chamber. It's also possible he's deleting negative comments, but I have no idea if he is.
This is something I've noticed, it's not just a bias, the youtube algorithm more than any other platform actually boosts the comments in favour of the creator, the entire comment section unless you click on recent will support the narrative of the video.
@@zNauzeBelieve it or not dude, some of us just desire the full truth, when we don't get all the sides of the story.
I’ve been waiting to hear some sort of response, but this is just so much more heartbreaking than I could of imagined
I couldn’t imagine the hurt of being stabbed in the back by nearly every hermit.
Cannot believe the amount of people glazing this dude. Absolutely disgusting! DID YOU ALL FORGET WHAT HE SAID AND DID?!
Comments are allegedly being removed. That's why it's so one-sided.
What he said and did exactly? From what I understand he flirted with a lady. Nothing illegal / wrong there.
A lot of people never heard about it to begin with, so now their best friend Iskal is telling them "everyone against me is either lying or overreacting! CANCEL CULTURE!" and they just take it at face value instead of seeing it as an obvious manipulation tactic
@sveinnthorhalls comments aren't being removed youtube is just a really sensitive puṣsƴ it's happened to me way to often
I doubt he will be joining hermit craft again
@@AddictiveGaming_ After this whole ordeal, I wouldn't expect that either. I just hope IskallMAN manages to get through these trying times. Whenever he starts making content again, I will watch :)
Iskall, if you're reading this: stay strong!
"Halting their only stream on income"
Iskall in this very video says he makes money of Patron still, literally over a grand a month, plus views on old backlog content, plus views on this very video.
And, He was the one who chose to stop streaming and posting videos for a while.
I was concerned about you iskall85. All I knew was one side and was waiting for you !! Just don't give up and fight and present your side
They did though. All 3 did.
I hope you can get through these tough times. May happiness find you again.
The fact that the police said the woman has done this before with other influencers should honestly get her in prison
Im not making this comment to take sides simply a reminder that it is possible that it has unfortunately happened to that person twice now. Its more common than people want to acknowledge how many creeps are out there pretending to be good people.
@ if it’s happened twice and they’re response BOTH times was to not block them and instead let it continue for long enough to have a document of evidence then man that woman is on something
Edit: like happening once and having this result?
"the woman" do you know that there are multiple people involved here ?
@ pluh I was obviously referring to the one that the police supposedly said was in a similar situation with a different influencer.
This whole situation is sad
Yeah this is where I’m at. I don’t think he’s a monster, but I also don’t know what happened behind the scenes and whether the Hermits have more damning evidence. Either way, it’s just very sad that clearly he’s not friends with the Hermits anymore, and we may never see those days return of his silly interactions with Joel, Mumbo, or the Neighborhood.
We miss you, IskallMan!!!
@devvyyxyzno, we actually do miss him
@@Luffy-rc4scwhy you hate
thank you for being transparent and reasonable at the very least, thank you for not acting like a child, 100% respect for that.
Same as any club or business
If you get an ultimatum of 90 minutes, then they don't want to hear your side, they want a trial.
Well, in that deadline that he was given, his decision was to resign instead of giving a reason.
I'm not choosing sides as of right now, but the people sending threats to iskall is just as bad or worse than what iskall is being perceived as
Personally. I think the hermitcraft crew had a "right" to "remove" iskall from the team since its mostly a child driven community. But i don't think they should have removed you. More so, put you on hiatus from the community until the investigation has given a more general sensus on what the situation before making a final decision.
Finally someone who can see both sides and isn't just blindly and angrily hating on one side or the other.
They certainly had the right to do so, I don't doubt that. If that was the moral or the right thing to do though; time will tell. I doubt it.
Thank you for posting this. I’ve been withholding judgement because of this very kind of circumstance.
So sorry for what you've been put through Iskall! We're standing strong with you!
I will keep watching and supporting you no matter what content you make and im very sorry to what happened to you
The reality is that internet is too quick to jump to conclusions. On the other hand he deserves time and patience as he is preparing his response.
i agree wholeheartedly
Yes. Finally someone who has common sense. If only people would stop trying to be involved in matters they have no place or knowledge in.
