Careful when the valve breaks off and you're taking the cover off. The valve spring might still be under pressure and it can launch the valve stem through your eye pretty easily..
Hey, great vid. You need to use motor oil that is for Motorcycles though. If you look on the back of the bottle and it says JASO MA then it's good. Automotive motor oil has additives that can cause the clutches to slip.
@GoldGuy dude i just picked one of those up like a week ago. 2005 suzuki drz 125. Got it for $1270 really good condition. Changed the oil as soon as i got it.

If the cylinder is fine you could just replace the piston and valves. And then use a dremmel to smooth Down the head. And make a aluminium plate and weld it on to the case to stop the leak. To me it seems like a waste of money. But i dont blame you for not wanting to do the extra work especially when you have the ts 185

Would have made for a far more interesting video, but as is the video was decent. Plus the people who gave him the bike for repairs likely payed for whatever parts were needed so I guess it makes more sense to go with the route that makes it easy for you if money is no object.
No way. That engine has small metal particles all in the oiling system. Youd need to pull it apart and clean cases. That head is fucked too. Cant just smooth out heads with a fuckin dremel all willy nilly. Dont spread hack fasle information.
@@saifsaid6705 i think a engine blown this bad would probably mess up the bearings and crankshaft buying a new engine would be cheaper in the long run and you have extra parts from the old engine

Should have cleaned that chain and sprocket up while they were off. Also I thought those engines take 850ml which isn't a full quart. Best to always just use the sight glass. Fill it up till you see it come up to the top line, then run the bike for a 5-10 minutes. Shut it off and let it sit for another 5-10 and check sight glass and add from there if needed.
I can't believe you just let the engine hang there with nothing holding it when you were removing it, lucky it didn't fall, it would have defo needed another engine lol, tbh it would have been cheaper to split the engine and replace the casing and buy a new piston kit, a couple of valves and gained more experience. A good tip when pulling off a timing chain is to make it with white out so your valves open at the right time, other than that, great vid bro 👍
