Gold miners in the jungle (Guyana)

These men are the by far the toughest people I have ever met.
I was 23yrs old and travelling with 2 Patamona Amerindians, when we came across their rough camp on Guyana's Potaro River.
The miners endure so much hardship (and disease) in their obsessive search for gold, diamonds and precious stones.
