Split is generally the best, which is why most top Olympians use it. However, the Chinese have short legs and a relatively long torso which makes some world champions like Lu Xiaojun great squat jerkers.
I thought I clicked Sika Strength video, because "don't power jerk, you're not a power jerker" is their favourite annual topic! I remember Ilya 2014 also doing power jerks in training on lower weights.
Hey Gabriel, when we do NF snatches the feet should be more wide than regular start position or just like any snatch? i've seen both ways but i like to hear your preference or why you do it without wide feet Saludos desde Chile
I have a question on jerk: why all coaches say that it is better a short dip? I feel like a longer dip helps me to accelerate more the bar. Thank you, awesome videos!
Think it's becuse by long dippimg you rely on muscle strengt which can be reduced with fatigue and with short dips you activate reflexive mechanism by loading your tendon, think of it like a hidraulic press and spring comparison, the latter is better for propelling the weight. Maybe you lack getting under the bar fast and you tend to have lazy legs
some perform better on short dip, cause they rely on elastic properties and reflex Other perform better on deeper dips, cause they use their strenght See it for your self and compare.
I went back to power jerk due to knee problems with my front leg. Thinking of learning split on the opposite leg but I'm afraid it will take too long to start over. Not ideal but better than not being able to train jerks at all.
I had to switch legs cause of foot problems. Awkward at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The technique is already there, it's just reminding yourself at first other leg, and then eventually it becomes natural
I tried switching legs, but when it gets heavy I automatically switch to my natural leg. I also had some knee issues. Now I will do some isometric gold after each jerk and some accessories to strengthen the knee and see if I can do splits again with my natural leg
I like how you give a clear answer that makes life more simple: "no, split jerk is better." Dry but effective 🤣

Thank you for not having intros, music, etc on your videos and getting right to the point and showing us what we want to see.
welcome

Knee problem is not from split jerk for sure :)
@@gsincraian Definitely not the cause, but the pain comes back with jerks. Over one year of tendinopathy.
All lifts for Olympic Lifting are beneficial for improvement.
"barbel is easy" i like that :D
barbel is feeling very ez all the time
Yeah
CNS fried then so Gab does double 130kg Sn 😂. Btw, is your Clean pulling stand narrower than Snatch pulling stand ?
Yes, is it
I heard kakhiashvili had a spinal condition that didn't allow him to split jerk. Like his spine was naturally curved.
mine spine , yours and everyone else is same :)
Gabriel Power Jerker Confirmed
