As a Vikings fan, if Darnold wins us at least one playoff game, they should sign him for an extended two year contract depending in price. Then Darnold gets to hit free market at top teir money, will still be under 30 so he can get another long term contract. That gives JJ 3 years to grow, play him his 4th year and possibly 5th still under rookie contract. That makes the most sense to me

Sounds great if the contract is based only on what Minnesota wants but that will not happen. I guarantee he is looking for a 3 year contract at 35M/yr at the minimum. This is based on what Geno and Baker signed for a couple years ago.
