I generally like, and mostly, agree with Kap, but when he says that he wants another defensive guy (in Vrabel) to lead this team, it puts the team back into the same situation that most of the criticism of Poles has been about. An offensive-minded guy is necessary to get off the hamster wheel of changing OCs every few years. We can't just get woodies because a guy makes great locker room speeches but can't get an offense going to save his life. And that would be another 3 years of a young QB not getting the coaching needed to succeed.

Don’t overthink this. It’s Ben Johnson and it’s not even close. He’s not like Nagy….he didn’t call plays. Johnson’s offenses are top 5 in league over a good period of time. He comes from a great culture. He stuck around a couple more years to gain more experience. A Johnson/Saleh combo would be great. Vrabel would be ok but who is the OC that he’s bringing in to develop Caleb. Don’t mess this up Bears.

The Colts had very good defenses those years with Flus, it was the offense that was terrible. The new incoming HC might’ve wanted to keep Eberflus for the defense.
