Howzit Adnan I am new here and would like to ask questions 1. Do cardiac surgeon get paid during residency program or medical school 2.can relationships work during medical school 3. During your cardiac surgeon. How much time are you given to rest in more details like how many hours of rest in a day from the 12 week If you have time please answer thanks
Hi, yeah residency pays, but not very well, especially per hour you work. 2. Yes but you’ll have to sacrifice and it won’t be ideal 3. It depends on the week, location, service, etc
Great video and thank you! I always wanted to be Cardiac Surgeon but Interventional Cardiology is taking mostly all surgical procedures so I think in next 20 years unfortunately we will not have anymore Cardiac Surgery as residency....
No problem, glad you enjoyed it! I think there’ll be a place for cardiac surgeons for many decades (or even centuries), so either route you take should be good!
Thank you for answer! I am wondering like today why cardiac surgeons work so hard if they have less procedures than before. Before they did much more CABG or AVR but today we have well developed stents and amazing thing is now happaning that TAVR is first line choce for aorric valve repair, not anymore SAVR...
Np, and I think part of it may be due to the state of America. Metabolic syndrome and heart issues are sooo prevalent, so you always have a lot of work.
These type of Drs.hit the high end of income for MD.i was a Mercedes salesman in the late 1980s..i saw there income statements..w2s..strangely in ky they made twice the national average at the time..?
Can we appreciate that this guy still answers comments! Should you get a pet if your a heart surgeon. It also sounds like they have time for nothing... is that true.
Haha, I suppose that’s one of the benefits of me having a small TH-cam channel (and not having a life lol). You do have time for things outside of medicine, but it’s a lot harder especially if you’re a surgeon. Depending on if you have someone at home to take care of the pet I would probably get something that’s low maintenance if you really wanted a pet.
Sorry, I didn’t see this. Im not sure about the system in that part of the world, but from my research it seems like there’s lots of vacancy but there’s a lot of sacrifice involved
It’s probably even more difficult, but you can either try to do med school in the us/Canada which may be slightly easier (but still difficult), or become a neurosurgeon over there and try to apply (which would be very difficult). I’ve never heard of someone do that, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Just weigh the costs/benefits. You’ll have to get upper end or higher in many categories like board scores to even have a chance. Maybe email some residency programs and ask them about your situation.
@@DrAdnan I wanted to thank you for all of this videos that you made. You helped me to choose family medicine in period when I was torn apart from all the options. 🙏 Respect bro. 💯

They do make upper end salaries. Sometimes the areas that aren’t as desired pay more

You can become a general surgeon and specialize like one of the other CT surgeons I interviewed on this channel, or do a direct track like Dr. Sharma
You put a lot if effort in your videos. Don’t know why the views aren’t picking up. Good luck though.
Yeah, hopefully they will soon. Thanks!

A writer?

I was about to cry until he said 12 weeks off ❤
Lol, even with 12 weeks off that’s still a really tough schedule. Respect to all the surgeons out there working crazy hours.
Yeah I hope things become better and easier in the future
I don’t see the hours getting much better, but I do hope they do
