- I'll be making in depth tutorials upcoming, for my easy peasy bandana quilt! Not my pattern, but a very easy pretty one! Stay tuned!
Join me for Truelove Family stories (which I have many, as a mother of 10 kids), Mothering Autism, with our Maxwell on our many fun car rides, and Free quilting class and sewing lessons! And as in a 'classroom' setting, my tutorials are approximately 1/2 hour+ long....So Join me in my home sewing room, out and about and trying to make all sorts of quilted goodies! Be aware ~ I like to chat and probably repeat myself over and over, (and stutter sometimes), and if this annoys you, then view elsewhere - but, if patient, you hopefully will learn a new method or technique and get an insight into a very large family and their crazy fun:)

Such a fun with the bandanas but liked how you weighed out the pros and cons. Prayers for Maxwell indeed!. “We are all dealing with something” is right! We are fortunate to have our quilting to take our minds off things. I’m glad you are feeling better!

Aw thanks:) Life in general is good ~ WHEN you CHOOSE to count blessings and be grateful. Grateful for a sunrise/sunset, birds chirping, a gentle breeze, a good book, cup of tea, warm clothes, running vehicle. We have many things to be positive about:)
What an awesome idea!! Love bandanas when I was a teenager and her hair didn't turn out we just tied a bandana around our head LOL. Glad you're feeling better. Hugs to our Maxwell

Yes, this is obviously not an 'heirloom' quilt, but a pretty one, and the way I 'lined' the hankies, will make a fun and sturdy picnic/back of car quilt:)
Aw poor Maxwell ,hopefully his medication will be sorted out soon and he'll feel better, he looked great in that photo Jean. Glad that your feeling better but as you say everyone seems to be tierd !!! I really think all the horrible things happening in the world are wearing us out,it's just bad news every day ,God help the people that are actually suffering all over the world.. Dear Jean, glad that you are feeling a little better but so sorry to hear that Maxwell is not too good, let’s hope he can get the right medication soon. You bet! Our 4 sons are on the way with disaster relief provisions in their trailers, trucks etc. Water, air movers, humidifiers, chain saws, provisions, gasoline etc. Anything we can do is a drop in the bucket but every bit helps. Prayers!!

So sorry to hear about Maxwell Jean and will keep him and you all in my prayers. Hopefully they will be able to adjust his medication as I know that when this is changed it can take a while to get the doses right. Florida. It's scary. Sometimes,Jean, trying to keep our faith is a struggle. Love your quilt.

I appreciate that you have addressed the fact that so many folks are dealing with their own struggles! I love that your way of dealing with what is going on in our country is to create a beautiful quilt! I especially appreciate that you have found and shared a quick inexpensive way to create a quilt that someone will surely enjoy snuggling up with! I, like so many others, turn to my crafting/quilting to get through the rough times! I used to say it was cheaper than therapy but with the cost of fabric nowadays I’m not sure!!! I’m definitely going to be searching out some bandannas to give this a go!❤😊 Thank you again for sharing! 🙏❤️🥰

Well Jean the hands of time keep moving, sometimes things do get overwhelming and we do need to dive into work or hobbies to keep us on even ground. Maxwell’s seizures would be difficult for you to see him have to experience them. We have two in our family that had and have to deal with seizures, thankfully we have a lot of educated doctors to help control the seizures. Take care of you and your family. 👍❤️🙂
We are in the midst of changing doctors/medication....hopefully it can get sorted. Dear boy, such a champ:)
Hi Jean I'm really sorry to hear that Maxwell is having a tough time right now, I hope it calms down soon, glad you are feeling a little better now yourself, life is full of anxieties for you. I've been watching the weather news but with the war in the middle east and politics they aren't giving it much airtime here. Our poor brothers and everyone else need our prayers at this time hopefully they will have moved to safety where possible. Did your son have a place in Florida? Is it damaged? It must bring up all the pain you went through to think of the devastation those people are going to be dealing with.
I like this quilt, the way the patterns work is great and the colourful fabrics on the reverse are beautiful, I'm sure it will suit some young one very well. You are so talented 💖
Thanks Penny:) The devestation, especially by Hurricane Helene two weeks ago, is unreal. Over 250 dead and many many more missing. Our son, Dominic, was very distressed at the LACK of government response so he loaded up his truck (towing his large pontoon boat), with chainsaws, water, generators, provisions etc., to help where he could. His actual home(It suffered terrible damage in a previous storm...his swimming pool actually popped out of the ground! What a mess. Our other 3 sons are headed down also with their trailers and trucks loaded with fans, air movers, humidifiers, provisions etc,, for disaster relief. Its just so awful. We are about 1000 miiles north so are safe, thank Jehovah. For now. So much turmoil. But we are Standing Firm! :) Thanks for taking time to watch me:)
I hope doctor's can get Maxwell well again and stop the seizures with better meds. Did you wash the bandana's before using them??
I didn't wash them - but tested them for colorfastness. I will, however, use half a dozen color catchers in the wash!
Hope things get better for Maxwell I don’t think he showed us his last finished Lego masterpiece be nice to see😊

How well would they hold up? If I make a quilt I want to use it and want it to last for years.
This obviously is not an 'heirloom quality' quilt. However, the way I lined them and will quilt them will make it a sturdy fun picnic or play quilt!
Poor Maxwell. What kind of foods has he been eating. The processed foods could be the problem. Have you tried an all animal protein diet. You can learn more about it from Dr Ken Berry on you tube. Just a suggestion Bless you and your f

Thank you! We have tried high fat, low fat, KETO, Atkins, macro etc., etc., all to little or no avail as of yet. We will keep trying though! Bless you!!
The Hobby Lobby bandanas bleed very badly. I pre-wash with Retayne before using in a quilt.
I will use half dozen Color Catchers in the washing. That usually is fine:) Thanks for watching:)
