I have also had depression and anxiety panic attacks for me I take sertraline and it just stops it . I still get fed up and I still worry but it is not the crippling fight or flight response. I keep on top of my mental health because being chronically ill and disabled is a challenge enough if my head plays up it's 100 x worse. So me and Jesus stay positive . I focus on the blessings. I had to resign from work and 6 months later my husband resigned from his work to care for me. The blessing we have loads of time together. I love watching the birds and the seasons and the wonder of creation. I love my comfy bed and am so grateful for it. I am so grateful for my home carer who became a friend. I might have lost a lot. But I gained a lot too. My twin boys are autistic ( which we found out after i got ill, it runs in our family)and having a sense of humour is a big saving grace. Despite all the challenges God has blessed me. I love my unique and wonderful family. I celebrate our differences and our amazing bond. Love is the answer to so much and my little house is full of it. You're doing great. Your channel is lovely and being real is exactly what this world needs. X

Thank you so much for showing this personal and intimidating part of your life. Sometimes we might assume that Pastor kids have to live this perfect Christian life. This is not true we all have flaws and struggles in life. Like myself I struggle with anxiety depression and panic attacks. Right at this moment am struggling with very negative thoughts and overwhelmed by fear. Seeing how brave you are with having a chronic illness and still being positive give me hope. Hope in that I will overcome this mental illness and that all my fear will go away. My fears of losing a loved one, losing my job, my home and my health .. My mind is filled with all these what ifs and I just here so much sermons and read books but nothing seems to help. Thank you for everything you do and God bless you and continue to restore your health ..

Thanks so much for sharing Mandy. So many people will be blessed by your decision to be vulnerable! I too have struggled with mental health (that is what triggered my fibromyalgia and CFS). I know how hard it is to share this struggle with others. You were very brave to do so and you are helping get rid of the stigma of mental illness!

Mandy, Thank you so much for your transparency and outspokenness. I believe you are helping so many people on so many levels and at different ages, which if you think about it is pretty much incredible! I am your parents' age and I always get a nugget or two out of each of your videos. Today my nugget was "just worry about what God thinks". I love it and your openness to share. Please know you are in my prayers daily. As always, looking forward to your next video to find my nugget!

So good, sweet girl. THANK YOU for being vulnerable and sharing your heart with us. I am a firm believer that vulnerability moves mountains.
I too have (and still do) struggle with anxiety. I've been through counseling 2 times and HIGHLY recommend it to so many people. I struggled for so long and kept it to myself for far too long. But only satan wants us to feel alone and discouraged in our struggles, that is for sure!
You are not alone and you are loved! XO

I'm dealing with the exact same things, I've watched your videos and know exactly what you mean about the anxiety and depression coming out of nowhere, do not feel like you are not being a good christian because of having these feelings. I know now it's the illness and not me and God loves me and understands. Just keep pushing through! There's this book the wahls protocol that's been helpful, and this recipe in it is amazing at helping with the fibro it's called turmeric tea. It's 1c bone broth, 1/3 can coconut milk, 1/2 tablespoon turmeric and 1 minced garlic clove, heated up on stove. It's amazing how it helps so much during flares. I really felt led by God to this tea. I hope this helps you in some way, God bless you for all that your doing.

I highly reccomend counseling as well! It has helped me through some big changes in my life. Anxiety has been a battle I have been fighting for many years but it doesnt have to keep you from moving forward! I am learning not to let what I "feel" dictate my actions and thoughts. Living beyond what I feel and claiming Gods truth is so powerful.

I just stumbled across your channel while trying to learn more about chronic illness and I'm so glad I did! You have such a sweet spirit and hopeful outlook. I too have dealt with anxiety that seems to be just a "body" thing, when I know my thoughts aren't fearful, and it can be confusing to experience, much less explain to others. Thanks for sharing your experiences and speaking hope!

I can't thank you enough for posting this. As always, it's right on time. This has been my major struggle through my illness the past two months. To the point of almost giving up. The enemy whispers that we are too tired to keep fighting, but your videos always inspire me and give me hope for one more day. You are truly doing God's work here. For me, DNRS sent me into a downward spiral. I am hoping to get back to it because of all the success stories, but it seems to be what started my major depression. Have you ever heard that?

It's good you talked about depression. If you only talked all bubbly about your faith like life is always great, you would have looked like you are full of crap! Many Christians do put up a spiritual facade and personal lexicon, and hang out and form cliques with others that do likewise (and make it hard for me to find a place to fit in at church). Talking about the hard subjects shows your faith in a way that shows you are authentic and not just putting on an act for people to see on Sunday morning. :)
The one thing I partly disagree with you over is that depression and anxiety doesn't have to go on the rest of your life. For most, mental illness is a lifelong struggle, but the vast majority of them don't have to let it control their lives for the rest of their life if they are proactive in treating it.

I am finding that 5 HTP, along with other medications, is helping my brain chemistry, too. It seems to help lift the depression and calm the anxiety somewhat. I have been taking it for the last 3 weeks, so it was a blessing to get confirmation that it is helping you as well.I have to try different treatments at different times because my symptoms fluctuate so rapidly.Let us keep seeking the Lord Jesus Christ for strength, endurance, hope, and perseverance!

I think this verse is in the book of Matthew, but Jesus says, "the harvest is plenty, but the Laborers are few." I don't know if that verse will speak to you or not, but felt I had to share it. It is hard, when ppl are judgemental, and say mean things, or those feelings of what ppl might say. :/ I'm not a very popular person on FB because I speak out against vaccines, plus I am a Christian that is Torah observant and ppl hate that... But this verse helps! Remember before people hated you (this probably is not true at all!!) They hated Jesus first. --another verse. Those thoughts are so easy to give into, but remember the enemy is the one trying to take you down from your calling. And you have all the power of the universe living inside your heart. 🙌🙌
