    Hi all,
    You’re work is fantastic,
    Can you use a single fluorescent light for this type of work?
    Wait to hear back from you.
    Thanks

    Could you use a paint thickness gauge to determine if bondo exist rather than test by using Glue Pull?

      You definitely can!!

      There are numerous ways to test if a panel has been repainted or if there is not factory material within a specific area of the panel.

    Approximately would this repair cost?

  • @danielvodo1
    @danielvodo1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wish I could do repairs like this and actually make money. In Australia an auto body shop will do that job for $700 And it will take something like 8-10 hours I would imagine to get that perfect including R&I. So losing money in the long run.

      i paid my friend 1000$ to fix my bumper and hood since he does this and i told him he can finish whenever since i was in no rush. gave it back in 2 weeks and said he spent a few hours every day after work to fix it. never bad getting a side hustle especially if you enjoy it.
      everyone else quoted me 3000$ lol what a pal

    How much does it cost a job like that?

  • @Mind69420

    The amount of labor this must have costed... Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a replacement door panel?

    • @hook86
      @hook86 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No. If you can even find a color matched door, it will probably be a junkyard salvage and may not be better. If it's a door shell it needs to be painted and all the guts would have to be switched over, which would just cost more than this PDR.

      I have the EXACT or NEAR exact same damage on my Mazda. omg. and I was going to try to diy and remove the dents myself.. After watching the Pro's do it. NOPE. BIG NOPE. I'm gonna find a door for 100-150 or less and just replace it. I've seen another video of swapping doors and it's actually WAY easier than doing all this. Plus the tools from Amazon for PDR diyers is about the same cost as a cheap 100 - 150 salvage door. I figured it's less work to remove bolts and install bolts than to tap tap tap and FAIL to reach these guys quality work. I'll just leave the PDR to the pro's. Especially for something major like this.

    Curious what was the reason to do PDR on it. If it was repaired and painted why not just do it again?!

    • @dentlesstouchchicago

      It is ultimately up to you, as the vehicle owner, to pursue what you feel as what the best option for your vehicle will be. In this case, the customer may not have known that this panel had been painted upon purchasing the vehicle. They, at that time, decided that Paintless Dent Repair would be the BEST option for their car.

      Because time is money and PDR is exponentially faster then conventionally body repair.
