That hole must be full of fish! Those boat guys really don't give you much breathing room. in the NW, bank access is fairly limited so I was always raised to let the bankies have thier hole because when youre in a boat you have the whole river. kind of a humility thing.
No holes in this river, all drifts. Nothing the boats can do that’s there spot. The shore guys got the whole river. The boat guys are only limited to like 5-6 drifts in the entire river max
I am from the NW and was thinking the same bank access is at a premium here and boats have the whole thing. But sounds the opposite there interesting. Good luck and tight lines
@@aidengatto3193yea, but the problem is the boats aren't moving the same speed as the current(trolling motor), but our floats are, which means we can get good drifts without running into them 👍
We've seen that same beaver, a little farther upriver toward the bridge. Was there with my sons the day that car exploded on the Rainbow Bridge...both hooked up and landed almost a dozen lakers during the afternoon. We also lost a couple big ones...one of them we fought for 10+ minutes before it popped off. It was either a huge laker or a large zombie salmon (they're still swimming around in there). Lakers outnumber steelhead 100:1 in there this time of year, until later in Dec. Lots of boats in the water the day you guys were down there...was that during a weekend (or on Thanksgiving)? I avoid the Lower Sat/Sun, gets shoulder-to-shoulder at times. Not sure how to reach out to you guys through here or if you have a FB page, but I'm trying a new method of catching steelhead out on Erie this upcoming Sunday I think you guys would be interested in...
This video was shot around 2 weeks ago, and we were down there the day the car blew up, fishing was hot that day. Best way to personal message us would be email, outsidersoutdoorco@gmail.com
Heading down there on the 22nd for my first time fishing the Niagara river. Can’t wait to get into them. We’ve been hammering the steelies and browns about a hour east of Niagara river in the creeks. But looking forward to a full Day of fishing with my brother.
Great video as always! I'm planning a trip to the Niagara now that the season is open. I've actually never caught a lake trout, I've caught spake in the Adirondacks but never a pure-strain lake trout. Looks like the Niagara is going to be the place to do it!
Thanks Cray! If you have the time this week you should definitely go, rain probably made the water conditions prime👌🏼 When you hook one, hold on for the ride lolll😎
hey bud. I usually try to have around 7 foot between bottom of float and my rig to start. Abt 4 foot for shot line and 3 foot leader, i run 2 beads. There is a 12ft shelf and then where the boats sit is from 20-24
Another great video! I have 2 questions: Do you tip your jigs with bait? Also, on the Niagra do you pick specific areas to fish, or are your chances pretty good anywhere you can cast to deep enough water? Thanks and tightest of lines! --Frank
Thanks Frank! No I don't tip them with anything and from my experience it all depends on the day. A lot of fish can be in one area today and then move somewhere else the next, so I keep moving until we start hooking up consistently 👍
Oops I thought you said leader, 10lb mainline will only limit you to 8lb leader. So if you were to use 10lb leader and get snagged you would lose your whole setup. If it was in the fall/spring I would say to change it, but since it cold out and fish are lethargic 8lb leader should work fine, just gotta take you time when you hook into one
It was 1ft or a lil less when I went yesterday I got 3 steelhead and a few lakers rlly depends on what you’re using it should be a lil better better by the weekend
Boys have to expand into some new water(Cat, Cway, etc). Your content is becoming recycled, dull and repetitive. Would love to see Noah knock ‘em dead on the big creek.
You know me I love the Niagara! But, yes we have some creek fishing videos already made and ready to release in the upcoming weeks👍 I always wanted to fish the big creek, will definitely make a trip when water clears up, whenever that may be
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventuresah ok, looks like I'm going to have to do some Google maps research lol, I think I might do some exploring Sunday if the USGS stays the same👍
You should shave your beard and head and freak everyone out- probably freak yourself out too! No one would recognize you/ including the fish. They'd be like "we can fool the new guy". lol

hahaha, they can get annoying sometimes, but I just launch my float in-between them lol
Ok average how long is the boat infront of you for?
3-5 seconds if that?

@@OutsidersOutdoorCo if you see this is there any to check the turbidity of the water to check and see if it is fishable for the 22nd
Excellent!Well done,lads!

Nice catches🎉

Hey noah can you do a video short on how to set up for the lower Niagara float fishing ? Tight lines ✌️
Hey Jason, here a video I made awhile back explaining the setup, good luck out there!
th-cam.com/video/h-mhqokHrzc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WBFm4ACUSk2wzShp
what gram float is that?
1 oz slip float
24g
bravo!
Thank you😃
Try that spot right above the falls. You might have to wade out a bit but you’ll be fine. Bring a barrel just in case..
Above the falls 🤔
Where is this located
niagara river
@@seanmoss9728is it in America or Canada ?? Can you please tell me the exact location .
Epic fishing, unfortunately, to many people out there.
Thanks, seems like warm weather brings out all the people, not too bad this time of year 👍
This may be a dumb question but what is that black stuff spaced down your line beneath the float?
It's split shot. The float is 24g so I need 24g of weight on the line to make it float right👍
I’m going after some lakers this weekend 1st time going after them. Do you guys ever use spinners?
Good luck! Oh yea, smashed them on spinners about 2 weeks ago!
@@OutsidersOutdoorCo caught 3 lakers and lost 3.
How far up your line do you typically place your indicator
I use a slip float, so usually I set it around 8-15ft up the line👍
That outsiders logo looks strikingly similar to the hubs logo🤣
Bruh 🤣
While fishing for trout at the beginning of the season, the first thing I caught was a beaver by the tail LOL.I had to cut the the line.
How did he fight 🤣
Yo what’s good miss you’ll video it’s cold 🥶 just want to go fishing 🎣
Hi Ray! It just snowed the other day, but melted all away 👍
What's with the fuzzy colored ball on your reel handle ? I seen a few people with those on their fishing rod at Oak Orchard creek last weekend.
It's called a rod hugger, helps with transporting the rods when you break them down. Basically a fancy rubber band lolll
You think I could get away with running 10lb main line on my pin there? Also how deep you usually run your float?
Definitely, usually anywhere form 8-15ft
Oops I thought you said leader, 10lb mainline will only limit you to 8lb leader. So if you were to use 10lb leader and get snagged you would lose your whole setup. If it was in the fall/spring I would say to change it, but since it cold out and fish are lethargic 8lb leader should work fine, just gotta take you time when you hook into one
This the Murican side I assume? great fish
MURICA🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸 thx Shawn😎👍🏼🎣

Yummy
Hii.. can you please share the location ?
That’s a pretty good day. How do you think the water clarity will be over the weekend?
it’ll be prime
thanks! there was a lot of strong winds so there's a possibility it might be muddy
It was 1ft or a lil less when I went yesterday I got 3 steelhead and a few lakers rlly depends on what you’re using it should be a lil better better by the weekend
the scummier the water is the closer the fish are to shore and the boats!
Must be Lewiston?
yeah
Awesome video bro..what rod is this with the spinning reel
Thanks Donald! It's the okuma SST
Where's the catch clean and cook that's what I like to watch how you clean them and cook them up
We'll have to plan one 👍
This the Canadian side or USA side

Use a spinning reel instead.
